Very cool little store off the end of Bay St. Some local friends said i had to come and it's definitely worth the stop. Walking up the front walkway you're greeted with the sound of what seemed like Soviet Era music to get you in the mood. The owner puts out samples of the different Russian and Ukrainian foods that she stocks and she usually has a pot of borsch going. She will offer you some tea to drink while you shop and sample foods. If there is something you wish to taste all you have to do is ask. This is helpful if you don't read Russian-none of the foods are labeled in English of course. Prepare to savor flavors you've never knew existed as it's definitely a treat. Definitely stock up on a bunch of the Russian candies and grab some Russian sodas and hunter's sausage for the road ahead. She also has sammies to go too on what looked like a really good rye bread. I'm also told that the Russian hot mustards are exceptional as well. Make the effort to support this awesome little small business. read more
