I have been coming to this store for many years. I always look forward to a trip to Florence. The entire waterfront along the Siuslaw River is a must for anyone traveling the Oregon Coast, especially a stop at the Olive Store, catch lunch at either of the two nearby restaurants. All About Olives is a cute store with lots of snacks for charcuterie and dishware/trays to serve it! Carla was very helpful and nice! I found a cute small dish for olive oil. I don't know why I didn't get the set of 4. I guess I'll have to go back! I do recommend stopping in to All About Olives. Came back in and was pleasantly greeted by both employees. It was a nice change from the prior visit. Noticed the cute items in the window of this store. I've been looking for some unique good quality gifts for game prizes for a baby shower. There is a variety of eclectic, somewhat pricy and unique flavored items here. There are many little shops on this street and a lot of the business owners and employee are very nice and welcoming to their visitors. However this is not the case at this store. I'm a VERY firm believer in customer service and that is why my rating is the way it is. The woman at the register didn't even acknowledge us. We walked around for a bit and not even a smile,a nod or a grunt came from her. I would not come to place and spend my money here. Nor would I give any gifts with their business name on it. Awesome product! The flavors of the balsamic vinegars are all unique... it's hard to pick just one. The service to sample was spectacular... it can get busy at times but we did wait for her to ring up a few customers so we could try a few varieties of the stuffed olives and pickled items. She was helpful in recommendations of complimenting items and recipes. We did purchase 10 items, and got an 11th item free. More flavors than any other places like this that I have been to. read more

Not what you would expect. Was looking forward to tasting oils and vinegars. Although they offer tasting, it's very lack-luster. No help from the young staff. No knowledge imparted on the guests. Not even help with pairings or even a list of what they serve. To truly taste it should be with a bread or something, not a wooden spoon. This should be an experience. I bought some really interesting olives here. They have my favorite kind--stuffed with lemon peel--and I also tried some hickory smoked olives that are hard to come by. I couldn't find out anything about where the olives are from. Are they grown in Oregon? California? Imported from Sicily? The label doesn't say, and that might mean the store is more of an import place than a store that deals in local products. I ordered a gift online to be sent to another state. Everything went well with the shipment. The only issue I have is that on their online price list it says they have 1/2 pint and 1 pint jars of stuffed olives. However, what was sent/received where 5 ounce and 10 ounce jars. I wrote to them about the size discrepancy and received no answer. So, one star off for the discrepancy on their website, and one star off because customer service was excellent until I inquired about the size difference. read more

What a great shop! Clean and easy to shop with wide isles and nicely/neatly arranged products. Stumbled upon the store on a stroll thru Bay Street. After trying the items at home, had to go back to stock up! What a treasure and nice staff too! If you like olives, olive oil, garlic, balsamic vinegar, this is your place! My wife and I try to stop by this place any time we're in, or just passing through Florence. Even though we know when we walk in that we are getting a jar of the Sicilian Double Stuffed, we think it's cool that they let you sample ANY thing they carry. If you're feeling a bit adventurous try the anchovy stuffed green olives, the briney flavor of the fish adds a layer of complexity to the saltiness of the olive. They also have a decent selection of Olive Oils and Balsamic Vinegars. There's a lime infused oil that I've been meaning to try to pan fry shrimp for tacos. This is absolutely the best place to buy bottled olives.... not only do they have a fantastic selection...plain and stuffed with more items than you can count, but they have samples of those olives so you know what you are buying beforehand. I would highly recommend this store.... we've been stopping there on our vacation for the past three or four years and every year I come home with bottles and bottles of their olives. read more
