Overall, it was a delightful surprise and a very enjoyable experience. I also picked up one Chocolate Brownie with walnuts and a slice of their homemade Carrot cake. I had the carrot cake and it was outstanding! Fresh, flavorful, and loaded with carrots and walnuts, it was everything a great carrot cake should be. As I walked from the register toward the table, the owner shared the tip amount with another employee Nicole Stanton who was standing at the bar. That employee--then loudly yelled across the restaurant that if I was "going to tip that shitty," I should "take my kids with me." As I exited--loud to all patrons--she continued stating that she "knows I make enough money to tip better," while pointing toward my children and continuing to make disparaging remarks. The remainder of our group had offered to leave a cash tip on the table ($20 was on the table). The order itself was simple and not excessive. The $10 tip left at the register on my debit card was intended to be in addition to the cash tip from the group. Publicly disclosing a gratuity amount, using profane language, making comments regarding a customer's perceived income, and directing remarks toward or about my children in a public setting is unprofessional and unacceptable. Due to the conduct of the staff member, I instructed them not to leave the additional cash tip and to leave the restaurant. This was a deeply disappointing experience, particularly given my family's long history of patronage at this establishment.

On the first day of the Football tournament, our family parked up front behind a small set of bleachers. We were parked there all day no problems. On day two, we parked in the exact same spot. However a woman approached us wearily and told us we couldn't park there. We were confused because we'd parked in the exact same spot the day before. My boyfriend asked if something had changed over night and she got nasty. She said the road should have been blocked off. It wasn't. I'm thinking the caution tape they'd used to block the road was moved by the two food trucks who'd just left as we were pulling in and they didn't put it back. Therefore we had no clue it was supposed to be blocked and we just parked like normal. But the way she spoke to us was DRIPPING with condescending tones. I believe she thought we moved the caution tape. We did not. A simple smile and you can't park here would have sufficed. We didn't need the nasty condescending tone at a kids football tournament. AT ALL. So uncalled for and unprofessional.

I opted for a side of the country potatoes with my omelet, and was disappointed when they came out covered in bacon and cheese, as nowhere on the menu did it say they came with bacon and cheese. Just a small inconvenience, and it won't change the fact that this is our new go-to breakfast spot when we pass through again in the future.
