Tried this place in Flushing on a Thursday. I got the crab and pork and the vegetarian dumplings. Both were very good. They had a good amount of filling. The skin was inconsistent on each dumpling but the majority had a nice thin skin without breakage and leaking. Some had a little thicker bottom. Great flavor and not overly salted. Pricing was 8 for $10. I'll try some of the others next time. read more

Cheap eats right by the 7 train entrance, they serve dumplings, buns, Taiwanese sausage, sticky rice in lotus leaf, etc. I've stopped by many a night to get their spicy pork buns. The ladies at the counter are always super sweet, and always put in extra dumplings during closing time. One time they even gave me some sausage for free. You order at the window and take it to-go. The sausages are on a stick so it's a portable snack. For the buns, definitely take their sauce, it goes really well with the buns. Quickest dumplings in Flushing! Just walk right up to the street stall on Roosevelt Ave at the top of the 7 train stairs, order your dumplings, they box it up, you pay and you eat! EZ PZ. It's WYSIWYG, so point at what you want and hold up the number of fingers of how many you want. If you stand there waffling about what to order, please step aside and let the next person order their dumplings. We got just about everything they had from left to right. Taiwanese Sausage on a stick (sweet or spicy), Pan Fried Mini Buns (Pork or Pork & Crab), Pan Fried Pork Dumplings & Tea Eggs. You can get a large order to take home or a small half order, if you aren't too hungry. I haven't figured out what the flat ones are yet, so we'll have to try them next time. It was also at the end of the day, an hour before closing, so the lady was kind enough to throw in an extra dumpling, bun and egg in each of our orders. These aren't the best I've had, but if you are on the run or need something for a quick dinner, these dumplings are perfect. They also give you cups of soy/vinegar based dipping sauce and I like to mix in some hot sauce when I get home. So if you're headed home on the 7 train or running to catch the 7, grab some dumplings and everybody on the train will be jealous. This wasn't even on our food itinerary but we walked by and the worker was very convincing. And honestly, the sausages and pan fried dumplings looked pretty good through the window. There's a variety of fillings and types of dumplings but we wanted to just try what they're named after. Cash only! Since spicy and non-spicy were the same price, we were able to mix and choose within a set of 5 for $7. One of them has black sesame seeds on the top so you can differentiate spicy and non-spicy but I forgot which one it was. The spicy was pretty spicy, so if you're sensitive, make sure to get non-spicy. With each order, you'll also get a small sauce cup with black vinegar but it wasn't enough for 5 dumplings. The pan fried dumplings were decently big with a good ratio of meat filling to the fluffy outer layer. We also ordered 2 Taiwanese sausages for $5. And again, you can choose spicy or non-spicy. The spicy version is just the same sausage but covered with a spicy powder. The sausages themselves were thick and slightly sweet...just as expected for Taiwanese sausages. I think we got everything for a good value and we weren't expecting it to taste as good as it did. When walking in Flushing, you may have walked by this street stall a couple times. Each time I walked by, it looked delicious, so I had to try it once. I got the beef bun and it was delicious. The outside was so crispy, there was so much beef in the bun, and it was super juicy. The woman working here was super kind and warned me when eating the bun as it may drip a lot and gave me TONS of napkins to ensure I didn't get it on my clothes. We had a whole list of food spots we wanted to hit up on our Flushing food crawl, so we really didn't have extra stomach space to be squeezing in more places. But we happened to walk by here, and their buns looked so good so we thought why not! The buns were juicy and tasty. We got a mix of spicy and non-spicy for those in our group who don't like spice. The staff member told us that she differentiated them by putting sesame seeds on one of them and not the other. We ended up forgetting which was which, and also couldn't tell if some had sesame seeds or they just fell onto them from the other buns. It might have been nicer if spicy and non-spicy were packaged separately, but it wasn't really an issue for me since I can eat both. Overall, a great pit stop for some tasty affordable snacks - we paid $7 for buns. They also have other items like Taiwanese sausage and youtiao. read more

This place wasn't that great! I got the deep fried chinese fried cruller(youtiao) and it was awful. The dough wasn't hard and chewy. Not crispy and soft. I ended up giving it away to homeless people who asked me for food on the subway. I got the soy milk next door and that was yummy. read more

Okay!!! The pan-fried pork buns were very yum! I loved the vinegar-soy sauce that came with it. I poured some into the bun once I took a bite! Service is nice and very quick. This seemed like a good spot to get Shanghai pork buns. The lady was so aggressive. I got intimidated because my Mandarin Chinese is not so great. I didn't want to order 6, but she kept insisting. I was finally able to tell her that I only wanted to order 4, and I wanted it spicy. The only spicy part was a spicy seasoning powder. It's pretty good as a snack since it's quick. Right by the 7 subway station. Easy to go meal. The dough was thick and semi chewy. The filling inside can be done better- need more filling compared to the thick dough. There's juice inside the dumplings so need to be cautious when in taking. Staff was friendly and she just packed the dumplings without any consideration of what I've asked for. But nonetheless, she wasn't rude but accompanied my order. Ambiance is not there since it's just a storefront that packs the items at the spot. We were passing by after getting some rice noodles and L spotted this place since they had some Taiwanese sausages. New spot I guess so I told him to try it if he really wanted them. He said it was really good. I took 2 lil bites. These sausages are a lil sweet, but fatty. It has a lot of cubed pieces of fat in it but it was quite tasty. Lots of flavor. Tasted better than some...of the high end sausages I've tried at WFs for $9! nice treat if you don't mind the fat. I usually stay away from highly processed food, no ingredients listed but sausages are normally unhealthy, not something I'd get again for health reasons but otherwise quite delicious. Make sure to give EXACT amount in cash for the precise amount of buns you asked for, because the ladies that work there will try to take advantage of you if you don't speak Chinese and add additional items to your order and then change you for it. It's located right when you get off the 7 train. It's open early in the morning for breakfast. They are always busy, but the line moves quickly. I stopped by in my way home from work and pick up some pan friend pork buns and a small container of eggplant. Their prices for 4 pan fried buns are more than I've seen in Flushing. The bread for the buns were pretty dry. They have a pork and crabmeat pan friend bun I didn't try. I like their eggplant in garlic sauce. 4.5 stars. I walked by here multiple times on the way to another place I wanted to try and every time I pass by it, I always get something. They display the food and it always looks really tempting and I could never control myself. I only got pictures of the pan fried buns and taiwanese sausage, but I also tried their pan fried dumplings, deep fried chinese donut, and egg and chive pancake.
