Found out a new place opened in our neighborhood so we came here to watch the nba finals. They have one tv, but you can see it from pretty much anywhere at the bar, so it was perfect for us. I hate sports bar type places with a thousand glowing tvs. All the drinks were super affordable and the wells come in pint glasses. They give you free peanuts if you ask and also have some hot dogs, sausages, pretzels, etc. If you live in Bushwick this place is definitely worth checking out. It's well lit without being too bright, and the music(which was awesome) was at the perfect volume. We will be back! read more

Nice to find myself at this bar in Bushwick. I walked a few miles on a cold night to arrive here ( the L train is a few blocks away however). I was pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. The layout is nice. Even though it was a pretty busy Sat night there was plenty of space. Each nook it well thought out so I never felt crowded. Great atmosphere and they serve food late which is a big plus for me. I def recommend it read more

One of the best "divey" places around. Our bartender had the best personality and took great care of us all night. The mix of people in and out is great to people watch, the space inside is perfect and the prices are just right. Pretty cool bar, athough they only have one television. It seems like a good place to hang out and chill and prices aren't crazy. They play rock music in the background which I enjoy as opposed to the typical pop played in most bars. They even have an outdoor area although I did not partake since it was rather chilly and I was there to watch the game. read more

I love Stanley's. I come here on the weekends for a Bloody Mary which usually turns into a couple mug shots or "Stanley's cup" (my weakness... Root beer and vanilla vodka...). The reason I find myself staying is always because of the staff and nostalgic environment which reminds me of a scene from the goonies. Bar overall look and drinks were okay, but bartender was rude and entitled. Didn't even wait for us to tip him. He just took it upon himself to take his tip. Ok. Ridgewood is getting hip and trendy and bla bla whatever. The new bars in the area are great. But Old Stanley's is the best. Great backyard, great inside, lovely staff, I cannot give it enough praise. Best Mets bar in Brooklyn. Bartenders are all very friendly and attentive. Jukebox is always on point. No pretentious mixology steam punk hipsters here. So grab a cold one and a dog and enjoy this fine establishment. read more

Great neighborhood bar. Friendly bar staff. Great jukebox, tall drinks, peanuts, sausages. It's exactly the place you want to go to just for some drinks. The space itself is really large and open, and you can easily enjoy yourself without dealing with being claustrophobic. I can't wait until they get the back yard space going.
