Horrible service from the staff when returning an item. We were told we were unable to return in store after they send me the wrong item and size from an online order. I follow the online retuning instructions and it specifically said to return the item using the bar code inside an old navy store. Not only was the cashier rude to us twice but she was wrong. We ask for the manger and she took a while just to come by us and completely ignore us. Very rudely the manger told the cashier just take care of it we don't have time for this. So I've read all the reviews for this particular location and can truly understand the frustration. I will say that I was greeted at the door and while browsing on the floor was asked by a few employees if I need help. That's the best I can come up with, next I had to wait in line. When I got in line there were two people ahead of me. By the time I reached the front of the line there were 6 people behind me. I tried really hard to see why it takes so long to check out. After leaving I'm still not sure. Are they slow? Are there lots of coupons? Are they socializing? I can't honestly answer that question. I will say the deals are great and selection pretty decent, at least when I'm in there. Just remember to give yourself about 30 minutes in line to check out. When ever I have family from out of state wanting to shop for great deals I always end up here, This Moreno Valley location is perfect as it's right off the 60 fwy and very close to the 215 fwy, easy to get to and close to all other stores in case you need to stop in for a few grocery's or need any gardening or home improvement items, if you want a good place to eat or dine it's within such a short distance. My most recent visit I was quite impressed with the wonderful woman who helped us, We were confused as to the location of a sale item and the location of the sign and the store mgr/assistant "Veronica" came to see the confusion and agreed it should have been placed differently and made good on the sale price anyway, I was thankful for the deal of course but wasn't looking for deal just pointing out what could be confusing to a shopper, she happily changed it and agreed it was bad placement of a sale sign, to me THATS good customer service, she was friendly, helpful and very professional and that's NOT something you see every day! Our family love to shop at Old Navy (online or in-store). Most of my son's clothes are from this store since this location is so close to home. Location is well lit, clean and organized. Prices like all Old Navy/Gap can be expensive but if you get their sale items, or use promotional discounts, it makes a difference. I'm an OLD NAVY card holder so I get promotional deals every time. You should apply if you are a frequent Old Navy shopper. One of the perks you get as a card holder is you get 10% every Tuesdays, plus additional 10% if you charge your purchases to the card. Everytime we're in this store, staffs are always friendly and accommodating. Sometimes, they seem busy reorganizing or clearing up messes other customers left behind but they are definitely approachable. My recent visit was one of the most impressive customer service I have encountered in a long time. It is too long and complicated to enumerate here but let's just say, Lori (Manager) and Joseph (one of the sales person) went over and beyond to help us. They did it with smiles and patience as well. They must have spend more than 30minutes with us. We did not have to scream, beg, yell or complain to get that help from them either, it was offered voluntarily. I am so impressed with them that I called Old Navy customer relations today. I recommended them and acknowledge them for going over and beyond. Nowadays, this is sadly a rare event. During my visit today I had the pleasure of being assisted by the general manager Allan. Being assisted by Allan was by far one of the best encounters I have had while shopping at Old Navy. He was the perfect balance of being professional but at the same time cared enough to build a personal relation with his customer. He saw that I'm a "Navyist" and ensured that I got the absolute best for my money. The fact that he was out on the floor and working a register says a lot about his work ethic. The manager here is terrible to 3rd party workers. He literally refused to allow one to possibly get paid (not signing his work order) because he refused to understand that the worker could only do so much and that a specialist had to come out for the work that was needed. Despite the worker trying to explain this to him. I was appalled to see him mess with another person's lively hood and throw a temper tantrum because he didn't understand how 3rd party workers operate. If a specialist comes in for one issue and finds that the issue is something else, you need to hire SOMEONE ELSE who specializes in the actual issue. Simple! Example: Its like if you hired a plumber to fix your sink and the plumber finds out that its actually the entire water system for multiple buildings, obviously he can't fix your issue and a specialist needs to come in. read more

Our family shops here regularly and we usually have great customer care, however, today was unacceptable. My husband purchased a pair of shorts on 3/13. He has worn the shorts three times, and since then the belt loops have torn and there are holes in the shorts, thus making them unbearable after three wears (see attached photo). My husband returned to the store tonight at 8:30 pm. He explained what happened in order to exchange them for the same pair. He was told that this was not a defect and they would not exchange it. Very unhelpful staff, wasn't greeted at all until check out. Was ignored when we asked about the fitting rooms (when another lady was led in after we walked in, no idea why). Workers were standing around in the fitting room, talking to each other, not offering help. We were basically dismissed when we asked them a question - eye contact with you means we're talking to you, no? Before coming here, I'd never been to an Old Navy store before. This place is large and there's a huge assortment of women's clothes. Their clearance section is off the hook!!! It's hard to dig through, but with a little perseverance I found some fantastic deals. I never knew their clothes were so inexpensive either. I ended up with 7 shirts for $40. Today was such an awful day. I had a lot of things to do at home but my mom insisted she wanted to take me shopping for my birthday. I decided on old navy because I heard they had "Good deals" and they had some cute items I really wanted on sale. I go into this location and I see 30-50% so I start grabbing only these items that are on sale. Then an employee approached me to tell me about the deals on the items I was holding and that if I apply for their credit card I'd get an additional discount. I'm ready to checkout and I decide, hey I'm going to apply for their card too. I'm having such a good experience. I get to the cashier and he randomly begins asking me about my day and if I had any special plans. I start answering and he mentions how old navy always has great deals. I look at the prices being rung up only to realize the items he's ringing up are not at the discount prices. I start questioning and he's looking at me annoyed and like I'm stupid and he would get price check to tell me I was right the item was 30% it was every single item ringing up at regular price. I asked him what was happening and he said he didn't know since he was working cashier all day he didn't know what was happening on the floor. I cancel my whole transition because I didn't trust them. None of the items were ringing up correctly. Just warning you, they claim to have deals but you need to pay attention to how it's ringing up because they don't care. They don't even want to do price checks. They all have a poor attitude like it's the customers fault they work at this job. They can find a new job if they hate their life and stop taking advantage of people. read more

The lines are always super long and move excruciatingly slowly here and every time I come there's a ton of screaming kids. 3 employees passed by me with no greeting or asking if I needed help finding something, and I could have really used some help. I found a couple deals in clearance but some items that are on clearance or on sale are only a dollar or two cheaper... so not a huge savings if you weren't already planning to buy it. I love Old Navy's clothes and style, especially for babies. The only thing I don't like about the stores is the awful, ugly music they always play. Usually they have really great customer service, but this location really falls short. I'd rather just shop online. read more

First off, I love this location and I'll continue to shop here. Just one of those matters that stick with you and you feel you need to express your feelings about it. So, today {3/23 @ 10:30 am} I was in this location on Canyon Springs shopping with a friend and she didn't purchase anything so she was standing with me at checkout. While scanning my items the girl asks about their charge card which they always do and are extremely pushy about. That is actually what my complaint is about. I personally DO NOT live on credit. If I cannot purchase it with my debit card, I do not buy it. That is my choice and as a CUSTOMER should never be made to feel less important or less anything for that. I seriously had to tell the girl 3 times "no thank you". I remained calmed but on the 3rd time I made direct eye contact with her and firmly said "no thank you". Your 20% or 40% off that purchase means ZERO to me. Now!!!! I know this isn't this girls fault. She's doing her job and what she was trained to say. But! No store should ever train their employees to pretty much harass their customers. Once outside the store, I asked my friend if she caught all of that and she had. I really like to shop at Old Navy from time to time. However I don't like this location. I had received a gift from my Aunt and took it there for an exchange. The cashier did not pay attention to me and processed my exchange as a return. Then her and her manager told me that they could not void this return and they were sorry. "you will have to ask them for the 39 dollars" excuse me but you do not ask someone for the amount of money they spent on a gift because the store you tried to exchange it to did not do their job correctly. I have talked with a few customer service reps and cashiers and have been told that this cashiers could have voided this.
