OMG! Yelp put me in the wrong place when I wrote my last review (I was supposed to be giving the Old Firehouse Winery a bad review). THIS PLACE was super quaint and the smell of the food was superb. We didn't eat but sampled some wines and had some other drinks. The bartender was attentive and friendly. read more

The wine was really good, especially the white--which surprised me since I'm definitely more of a red fan. Create your own sangria was a really cool and delicious feature. Zucchini fries were pretty good, but the chicken fajita wrap needs a LOT of work. Basically a packed grilled chicken vehicle (protein was appreciated!) with a small scattering of grilled onions and peps and a thin smear of canned salsa. It was like something you would catch a teenage boy eating. I know you guys can do better! Where are the veggies, or SC...or guac? They skipped on some of the cheapest ingredients in the house! I hated this sandwich--thank god for hot sauce. Also, as another review noted, the wine sampler is not labeled clearly and is tucked in under sangrias part of menu it's $6. Guys...c'mon! I know pouring all those is a pain, but you'd probably sell more bottles. I would return for more wine...but wine and apps only! read more

I enjoyed my wine burger- grilled to order ! Yum!!! Always happy when there are gluten free items too

Their food and wine is AMAZING! The Niagara Alfredo pasta with steak was to die for! The portions were perfect and an overall great experience. read more

Old Mill Winery - Niagara Alfredo (half portion) with steak! - Diners Near Me - Geneva, Ohio

Lively entertainment, food average, very cramped and tables very very close together. Owners very nice and friendly. Seems to be "The" place to go for locals; everyone seems to know each other. They make and sell their own wine, not a very large selection. If you like an oaky Chardonnay, their wine is not for you. Wines are are the sweater side. read more

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this place before now! We're over 5 hours away but have been to this spot 3 times. My hubby loves it. I think he really likes it because it actually appears to be a bar. That's what I don't love about it. It's a winery....I suppose they make wine there. And the wines they serve are great. But for all intensive purposes, it's a bar. They serve bar food. On any given night you might a band of three members in their 50's playing the classics. The staff has been super nice with each visit. Listen, if you're going for a Geneva wine tour and you're expecting the typical "beautiful vineyard" scenery......this is not the place for you. In fact, I can jump from the train tracks that run next to this place to the front door. But if you're looking to enjoy a great glass of wine and check off another winery on your list, then by all means...... read more

Ok food wines are too sweet and served in little cups. The service is ok at best. Loke the pics hanging up.

Cheap tasting food and cheap priced wine(ok). Cute, homey atmosphere! I would not come here for a good meal. read more

We arrived at the Winery at 7:40 and we were refused service. We drove 15 miles to have dinner and they couldn't even give us a reason other than the kitchen was closed. The patio was full of people and the Open sign was still lit! Sorry. They won't have my business again!!! read more

This was one of my many visits here!! It will NOT be my last! I love their semi-sweet wine! My favorite if Grindstone Red! Next is Geneva Rouge! If you like semi- sweet... This is your place! Food is outstanding also!! Never have gotten a bad meal! I visit family in Geneva every year and this is a must stop! I also have my cousin bring some bottles to me whenever he is driving to Florida to see me! read more

Pleasantly surprised. Good value for the money on the tastings. The cheese plate was very high quality. The atmosphere was very nice for a Saturday afternoon. We will be back. read more

This place is horriable, our bridal party went in to have some wine and you tell us you cant serve us because there are to many people. We called a few days ago. Guess we spend our money elsewhere. Very dissatisfied on my first trip to Geneva on the lake. read more

Nice atmosphere great food wonderful music nice place to gather with friends or family for a nice night out

We were here on a Saturday at 1pm. It was pretty empty, but the service was very slow at the bar. The wine we had was extremely sweet- tasted like concord grape juice. We also had the bruschetta, which was just meh. No need to go out of your way for this place. read more

Great food, but terrible service. We usually come a few times a year and I honestly don't know why we keep coming back. The service is consistently horrible. Our latest trip was today and it took a solid 12 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge we were seated. It then took another 5 minutes to get menus. Our server took our drink & appetizer orders and then have us another 20 minutes of hang time before bringing the drinks and taking our dinner order. We kept it simple, three loaded wine burgers. Half an hour later out burger arrived. Unloaded. At least they arrived, unlike our missing appetizer. No comp, no free dessert, no one cared. The burgers were delicious though. I just wish the owner CARED. Maybe then the servers will. read more

I went for the first time last week after living in ashtabula county my entire life. This place has some absolutely delicious food! My mom got the wine burger and it was delicious! Her side was zucchini fries and they were delicious and unique! I got a steak salad and it was also very tasty. We also got the queso bread bowl with small spicy sausage balls. OMG so good! For drinks, we got the red wine sangria. Wonderful. I recommend Old Mill Winery and will go again soon. read more

When I was much younger, I went to the Old Mill to get grist (wheat & corn) ground for our livestock. It really was a mill, which is why it looks like it does--with rough walls, uneven floors, and red-painted siding, next to a railroad track. I don't totally agree with any of these reviews, although I hope the management and wait staff take a few hints. But in a small town like Geneva, a restaurant has to balance their appeal to Big City Folk (if you "really" want to include Cleveland in that) and their more reliable home-grown market. If you don't like it, go to your own corner bar & grill. The Old Mill is, intentionally, a little piece of Yesterday, with re-created atmosphere and reasonably good food. If you need posh service and cordon blu food try Ferrante's or the restaurant at The Lake House--very good and commensurately pricey. LRA, Townie 3 1/2 stars read more

We had a great dinner! I had the combo of Ribs & Steak, wife had house salad. Service was excellent and we sat outside on the deck. Cabernet was quite nice for the price! Only issue could be that it is not air conditioned but, I must say, we were very pleased!!! read more

Great steak and was cooked just the way I asked. The wine was wonderful as well! One of the best anniversary dinners so far! Music was pretty loud but it was raining out and we didn't want to eat in the rain. read more

Here's the deal folks...I've been around the world from France, Italy, and Prague. From Maine to Key West and New York to San Francisco and San Antonio to Milwaukee and Chicago...The Old Mill Winery has wines that are not snobbish, but authentic North Eastern Ohio. If you are some food/wine critic you may not like the reasonably priced food & wines, but I guarantee you I have paid A LOT more for far less edible or tastless food. What that sounds like is not true of the Old Mill's meals, they are always fresh and wholesome. They will stick to your ribs and not leave you hungry and you will probably savor some delicious food. Don't be a jerk and bad mouth my home town's restaurant/winery just because your full of yourself or where you hail from. They're not always perfect, but they have heart and genuine amazing awesome pretty frickin' delish eats! "Enough said"!!! read more

This place looked absolutely adorable. However, the service ruined it for me. Granted it was a holiday weekend and I understand that the staff wanted to go home, but we were basically shoved out the door. read more

After reading the "best burger I have ever had" reviews on our road trip, we decided that this would be our local experience. Two of us chose the Old Mill Wine Burger. When prompted, we requested medium rare with Bleu cheese (.99 extra). Our waitress returned 5 minutes later to inform us they were out of blue cheese. Since this was supposed the "best burger ever", and cheddar wasn't an option, I decided on pepper jack and my son settled for swiss (not wanting to top the "best burger ever" with American cheese). When they brought out our meals, I was disappointed to see that the burger was a processed frozen patty, that had been soaked in wine, and not fresh ground beef. Upon first bite, and each thereafter, there was not a hint of pink in either of our medium rare orders. My spouse ordered the Dublin burger, the burger of the month, a Ruben with the same patty - fresh from the freezer. After ordering and adjusting our food, we saw others with samples of wine. We called our waitress over to ask about the wine. We had missed the small print on the menu with information about the tasting. It was $6 tasting of all 12 of the wines on their menu. However, today they were all out of their Cabernet. The winery generously adjusted the price accordingly. After tasting the wines, I sorely missed the option of a Cabernet because many of these wines were a bit sweet for my taste; similar to grape juice or communion wines. The waitress was courteous and friendly but busy once the afternoon rush hit. When the bill arrived, the cost of the extra blue cheese was still included. When I brought it to her attention, she apologized and took it to have it adjusted. The food was filling, the atmosphere was fun and we will continue to search for new and local places to eat along our travel route. read more

Nice very old building with outside deck seating. I am not a wine snob as I love sweet wines. I loved their Grindstone Red. My wife had Sangria which she loved. I hate pretentious wineries with their wine snobs. I've been to them and their wine tastes like oak or stainless steel. Yuck. Nothing pretentious about the Old Mill. It's the place the locals go for a good time. The Alan Green Blues Band was playing and they were fantastic! The wife loved her BBQ rib dinner and I loved my wine burger. I left with a bottle of Grindstone Red which we shared with friends a few days later and they enjoyed it. We will definitely go back. read more

Went in on Thursday evening for dinner, great food and great music. Went back on Friday again with friends. Again great food and great music. The Pick 2 combo is a great deal. My husband loved the crab cake appetizer. And John the bartender makes for a fun evening, stopped in Saturday for drinks and more great music. read more

This restaurant has an open mic night. The performers were mostly amateurs, which made this event more entertaining. When I went back to a more private area the waitresses and the female cook were speaking in a highly derogatory manner regarding the performers. The customers in this area could hear what they were saying which made many customers uncomfortable to perform. This behavior I consider to be highly unprofessional in front of paying customers. I will not return to this restaurant again. read more

The chili and cornbread was wonderful, made with sweet red wine. Much better than I can make. The live music was an added bonus! Good food and good music equals a great time! Thank you everyone for making my evening so nice. read more

We ended up here for dinner after we tried to eat at Ferrante, but didn't want to wait 2 hours for a table. We got a couple of their tasting trays, and no one really liked any of the wines. The food was mediocre, and the place seemed a little bit dirty. They had a great band playing though. I'll probably skip it when we're back in the area. read more

We had a great steak dinner on a Sunday night! Steaks were cooked perfectly and on Sundays they are $2 off. Wine was pretty decent and service, although not perfect, was pretty good. The garlic bread was missing on one of our dinners but once our waiter came back he brought it out promptly. Would definitely go back especially for steak night! read more

The wines were excellent but the food and service were mediocre, and quite honestly, the building was filthy.

We stopped by in January because they were one of the few places open. The atmosphere was delightful. The wine was made on site and very tasty from sweet to dry. The owners were friendly and the staff pleasant. The menu could be a little broader, but the food was good. read more

Can i give it a zero? Showed up at 805pm. Says it closes at 9. Won't serve us. Thank you Geneva Ohio.

This place has a great family, country home feel. The atmosphere is great and if you stay late, they have live music. The food was increadible. Clams for appetizer, ribs for dinner. Cooked to perfection. My wife had some of thier wine and loved it. This is a family owned business so things move a little slower than the comercial places you may be used to, so sit back, relax, and enjoy yourself. We sure did! read more
