The location is perfect on the lake! Loved the cute umbrellas and the atmosphere and decor. But that's about all that was good. My burger was dry and flavorless; the condiments on the table were expired; one bite of the coleslaw showed it also was definitely past its expiration date; overpriced; and the food had been sitting awhile because it was lukewarm. This place has so much potential and could be awesome given the location and decor. If you're going for drinks and to listen to live music out back by the lake, I recommend it. Ambiance-Great location on the water. A bald eagle scooped up a fish 50 feet offshore. There is no better lake view restaurant in the area. They have some great music as well. Kind of a folksy group playing last night. Mandolin and banjo player were great, as was the lead singer and base player Food-is just ok. Service-The waitress was really a nice girl. However they need to be trained. Waited 20 minutes after we sat down to have drink order taken, then waited 15 more minutes to get the drinks to the table. I could tell the beer sat on the bar waiting to get picked up as it was not ice cold. This place has a ton of potential with the right management. Would I go back? Yes. Great location and music. Is just brace myself for a Long wait. I'd probably just order my own drinks from the bar. read more

Great family run place on the lake. No better place to hang, listen to great music, and grab a bite to eat on Lake Erie. It's just the great patio vibe I was looking for. I love meeting family and friends here. The fish is FRESH! Love the fried green beans. If the weather is good, come early, and order as soon as you can for better parking and quicker food. It can get crowded and the small kitchen can get backed up. No matter! The patio is amazing and you are hanging with your friends lakeside, listening to music. Driftwood point hosted a holiday pop up! Let me tell you how amazing the food was! 10+ out of 10! I was greeted by Reagan, who was charming, and chose the blue cheese/onion straw prime rib. It was cooked perfectly- seared in just the right amount of peppercorn crust- medium rare- as I like it! The mashed potatoes were creamy with garlic essence, and the side salad was generous and delicious on its own! There was nothing left on my plate. I accompanied my prime rib with a couple glasses of MCellars Amphora Pinot Noir, a stunning fave of mine- and perfect with this meal. I confirmed with the owner they will reopen in April, as they are right on the lake and 7 mins away. This was an outstanding meal- haha- I was there for Festivus, but there was no "airing of the grievances" this night! The band played holiday favorites - some in a twisted form which had the crowd laughing. This place will be beautiful during the spring/summer as it has ample outdoor seating and their food is off the hook, the service was stellar. I keep hoping a Valentine's Day pop up might happen as well!! I loved everything about this cute little space and have plans to be a regular! The only downside is parking gets a little tight- but I can maneuver my trusty vehicle around- I am so glad I found this treasure. Pencil me in for April! read more

The BEST French fried green beans EVER!! I order them as my two sides with the walleye dinner.

First off, let me say the staff was friendly and nice. The location is great, right by the lake with awesome views, if you are just going to have a few drinks. However the food is nothing to write home about, not much flavor. We had a hamburger that was to be cooked medium rare but way over cooked, the bottom was burnt, hard and just dried out. The fries were ok and the fried shrimp really needed the cocktail sauce to add taste to them. Really needs to revamp the food and the prices were a bit to high but the drinks were good. read more

I love it here.. The view is amazing and the fish is fresh and is hands down the best fish from here to Erie Pennsylvania. We love coming here we love all of the staff and everyone is always so friendly and smiling. I can't believe it when I read other reviews that people can complain about the wait time when your allowed to sit down have a drink and enjoy the live band while your waiting. Most places you go they give you a pager or send you a text while you sit in a lobby or even your car and wait 45 min to an hour just to get a table but not at driftwood pointe and the wait is always worth it. My kids love coming they play on the beach or even with the toys driftwood has for children don't change anything you will always be our number one spot and I live in Cleveland Ohio read more

Very slow service for food that tasted like it came out of a freezer, go somewhere else

Salmon was to burnt to even eat, perch sandwich had a half of piece of perch on and it was all bread. Waited 45 minutes to drink and our waiter didn't come back to ask for refills. The location is beautiful, spent to much time on that and needed more work on food. Waited 2 hours for food, beer was extremely warm and we didn't order another one, didn't even get appetizers until our food came out, overall horrible place, wont come back. DONT COME HERE read more

Came to Geneva for a weekend get away and seen this place online and how good they was so my friends and I checked it out let me start off by saying NEVER AGAIN this place was horrible service,staff and cleanliness. Our waitress took her time taking our order when we got our order in we waited about 45 min when we asked her about it she said it'll be out soon. We finally got our appetizer after the 45 min after she took it outside came in asked us if we ordered it then threw it on the table. An hour went by now and still no food so we ended up paying for our drinks and appetizer then left. Not to top that off but the waitress was hitting her ecig right in front of all the customers I mean have some respect for goodness sakes!!! Walleye dinner was great, fresh and hot came with fresh cut fries and tasty slaw. I was told that the burger was great, fries also. Raegan, who took care of us, was fantastic...friendly staff...and the food came out quicker than in the past. I'm told that it's new owners and the manager stopped by to ask how everything was. Large patio area, all new comfortable furniture with umbrellas, great view of Lake Erie! Will be coming back here more often! Down on the beach are benches and a large fire pit, can't wait for cooler weather. read more

We stumbled across this quaint restaurant while exploring the area. What a great find. First, the view is spectacular. It's right on the water with outdoor seating. The owners greeted us and immediately we felt like family. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. They were very accommodating due to a food allergy. The grilled perch and grilled walleye was outstanding. There was live music as an added bonus. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. read more

I've been going to Driftwood Point for a few years and have always loved the atmosphere and the food. The wait staff was never very good. I was there yesterday evening and it seems that there is a slight improvement in the wait staff, but the price for a perch dinner is out of sight, almost double what most other restaurants charge. I had the walleye and it was mostly a crusty batter and very little fish. This had been my favorite place for fish, but sadly I can no longer recommend it. I no can only give the 1 start to this review because of the view and location. Upon arrival we were like yesssssss!! Finally found a hidden gem - but boy were we wrong. Greeted by a young kind host, we had no reservations but we could eat inside, which was fine. We are not picky. There was a table outside with 2 seat that we asked if we could just pull up a chair for my 12 year old ..the hostess asked the owner and said "just go tell them NO!! Don't be such a pushover!" (Wow!) the girl was kind and told us she couldn't. We sat inside after 10 min a bartender came over to ask what we wanted to drink. Another 10 min we got the drinks! This bartender had been juggling maybe 2 other tables.. but didn't know what she was doing. Kept going back and mingling with her co workers. After finishing our drinks.. and waiting another 20 min the girl came over to ask us if we needed anything. I said "well we will pay for these 3 drinks and take the check!" She said "oh ok I'll let the kitchen know to cancel your order." I was flabbergasted..sHE NEVER EVEN TOOK AN ORDER!! I told her that and she said ohhh sorry. I'll get your check. We paid and left. Which now coming to read other reviews-I am so glad we Didnt give another penny to the establishment.. the owner, was walking around barking orders..rude to paying customers and it's such a shame. That place could be such a thriving and beautiful place!!! If you're thinking of going DO NOT DO IT!!! Just pack a picnic and sit on any of the local beach access to the lake and relax. A hidden gem on the shores of the North Coast, also known as the shore line of Lake Erie. Despite the location, a must visit for great lake perch. Have to try the perch tacos which two in our group had. Both said the meat was tasty and in a crunchy breading. Good mix with the Cole slaw. The gals said "have to try them"! I went with the Jr. Burger. Ordered medium and it came out...... Medium!! Homemade buns, along with bacon (thick slice);slice of American cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion! Absolutely fantastic. Also had live entertainment with a band that fronted Grand Funk Railroad, the Doors, David Bowie, and Joe Walsh. Really good entertainment on a Friday evening. All you Westies need to grab your Google maps get out out here. Also find the owner Lois and introduce yourself, she's worth the time as well. read more

Love that it is located on the shores of our Great Lake Erie. The night I went they had a great singer, Susie Hagan, which made for a great evening. The food was bar type fare, good, but nothing outstanding. Deep fried green beans were a nice change of pace. Would go back, but more for the ambience and singing than the food. Rules for dealing with COVID were not posted as they are at other establishments and when we offered to grab masks out of the car they were very ride to us even though we were eating outside. I am giving two stars;generously because our waitress was friendly and I'm hoping this was a fluke experience. We made reservations as requested by the restaurant. Upon arrival we were seated and the waitress came right over. I wanted the Mojito but was informed they had no more mix left. So I ordered a peach wine. My boyfriend ordered the summer breeze mixed drink. Both drinks were bland and flavorless and flat. We ordered the Driftwood Bites as an appetizer before we ordered our meals. The perch is a very light fish, it was cooked in a very greasy heavy thick batter that had no flavor to it. It came with tartar sauce that tasted like it came straight from the jar. Our waitress informed us that there was no kitchen staff and most of the wait stuff had called off for the night. We left without finishing our drinks and appetizer. The only bright side to this experience was the dog roaming around. He was friendly but he didn't come near our table begging for food or attention. read more
