Today I realized it was right down the street from me so I stopped by, no one came to the counter right away so I was able to snap a picture of the menu. As I tried to sneak out the owner came to the window and I felt compelled to order a fish plate and wings. I just wanted to check the menu because I knew I wouldn't want to pay $20 for food. I left and came back about 20 minutes later and the food was ready and still very hot. My 2 plates only came out to $13 and change so I was very happy about that. The food taste amazing to say the least. My wings were seasoned perfectly and came with a Buffalo ranch sauce that my mom used to make at home, didn't even know that sauce was a real thing! The fish was perfectly crispy and the coleslaw different, since it had relish and mustard in it, and still very good. The best part of it all to me were the fries, I love how they were seasoned and soft. I could not tell for sure but some of my wings looked like the meat may have been old or previously thawed out, learned that from watching kitchen shows on TV. Still very good and not worth losing a star over. This restaurant is only open Thursday through Saturday and it's tucked off in a neighborhood beside the public works office.

Not sure mash potatoes were made in house, could have been mix as well as gravy, no home made taste. Pintos had no meat or onions so could have been premade. Corn bread was decent. Deviled eggs not very seasoned. Banana pudding was darker than expected so passed on it. That standard meat and three combo was not memorable. Little less price than others, but also less homemade taste. Wait staff were very attentive and friendly. Clientele older. Several takeouts. Understood they were no longer serving dinner. Probable will not be back, better alternatives.

Throughout the meal, they checked in and made us feel truly taken care of. They even came by with fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies straight off the baking sheet and handed them out for free! The food itself was excellent. They offer great Southern favorites like shrimp & grits and fried chicken, but I went with the fried boneless pork chop. It was perfectly crunchy, full of flavor, and topped with a generous amount of delicious country gravy. Portions are no joke -- I only made it through half before I was stuffed. I did save just enough room to try the cherry pie, and I'm so glad I did. It was fantastic. I can't say enough great things about Local Joe's.
