Cold eggs with a cold piece of Kraft cheese.

The staff was extremely nice but that was the highlight of the visit. I ordered a BEC to go, as it was the "To Go Special". It took about five minutes to get the sandwich, the sandwich was cold with a pice of Kraft cheese and looked like it came straight from the fridge. I should have just went to McDonalds down the street. Skip this one!

Beef brisket, white rice with beef too gravy, green beans and jalapeño cornbread. Ahhhhhazing!

We stumbled across this little gem a couple weeks ago and loooove it. The crab cakes are 10/10 and the pecan pie is the best I've had!

Does the crab cakes have real crab ? No phony stuff?

Yes it is real crab meat, they are made to order and take about 4 minutes so they are not on the line but just ask for them

It was a cute little house with parking in front. Hubby ordered the pine-Gouda-ham biscuit with ham, Gouda cheese, and pineapple jam. It was really delicious. I got the omelette which was loaded with toppings. The nutty Irish and green apple lattes was really good as well. They have a nice selection of regular coffee and specialty coffee that the barista can make for you. Their customer service is great. While there we noticed how they talked to us and everyone that came in. For some reason our order was not placed and after close to a hour I went to ask for it to go and we learned that it didn't go back to the cook. They were very apologetic, reimbursed us for everything, and made the food for us to go. The person who took the order came to our table to personally apologize for a second time. They were so nice about it, we went back the next day! We will be back.

Nice local breakfast. Huge patio. You order at the counter and they bring your food to the table…read more The lady taking our order was so nice! She shared with me the back story of how Cathy was the owner and it use to be her house that 10 yrs ago she made into a cafe. She has her own brand of coffee that she sells all over Nashville. There were lots of desserts to choose from at the counter. We got the breakfast plate one with bacon and sourdough and the other with sausage and biscuit. It was just enough food and the Latte was good. I got the honey vanilla. There was art from the students at the local art school on the walls and photos from a former celebrity photographer in the other room for purchase. It had a very nice welcoming vibe.

Edit is a place I genuinely want to see succeed, and there is so much here that's done really well…read more I've been multiple times now, including Mother's Day, a date night with my husband, and most recently with my neighborhood girlfriends for an early Galentine's celebration. The atmosphere is consistently one of its biggest strengths. It's cozy, warm, stylish, and inviting, the kind of place that feels like a true local hangout. The cocktails are out of this world, the wine flights are excellent, and the space itself feels special for Hendersonville. It's also helpful to understand the concept behind the food. Edit does not have a traditional kitchen. The menu is prepared offsite each morning in a commissary kitchen and delivered fresh, with select items reheated behind the bar. When it works, it really works. You would never guess that the fondue with caramelized onions, gruyere, and black truffle starts cold. It comes out melty, rich, and delicious. The whipped feta is another standout and honestly lives rent free in my mind. Where things have been more hit or miss is execution. Across visits, there's almost always one or two things that keep the experience from feeling truly five star. Sometimes a dish isn't heated through quite enough, sometimes service pacing is slower than expected, and occasionally both happen on the same visit. You can tell a lot of care goes into preparing the food earlier in the day, which makes it frustrating when it doesn't quite land as intended once served. Service has also varied depending on the night. There's a strong sense of community here, and it's clear that many locals are regulars who know the staff well. That can be really lovely, but at times it has felt a bit distracting, especially when long conversations behind the bar slow down drinks or food for table guests. On one visit, delays were significant enough that my husband and I decided to close out early and eat elsewhere. On other visits, including our most recent one, the experience was overall enjoyable but still a little uneven. That said, the vision behind Edit is compelling. Getting to hear the story behind the restaurant and the intention to raise the bar in Hendersonville made me root for it even more. You can feel the passion, creativity, and desire to build something special here. I'm giving four stars because I genuinely think Edit is amazing, but every time I've gone there have been a few things that keep it from feeling like a true five star experience. These feel like very fixable, foundational issues, and if they were tightened up, this would easily be a five star spot in a heartbeat. I plan on continuing to come back, because my hope is that each visit gets closer to that mark, and the moment it does, I'll gladly update this to five stars. If you're on the fence about trying it, definitely go. And if you're just stopping in for a drink, absolutely do it. The cocktails are exceptional, the wine flights are fun, and some of the appetizers are truly memorable. Just plan for a relaxed pace and enjoy your time there. It's a wonderful place to linger, especially if you're not on a tight schedule or racing a babysitter clock.

The space is beautiful, clean, and open, making it perfect for a date. At first glance, it looks like a stylish coffee shop with high-end espresso machines, but it also has a full bar and gorgeous décor. It was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night, which made us a little hesitant, but the service quickly won us over. The bartender and waiter were both friendly and attentive. We ordered both the beef and chicken sliders, plus two cocktails--the Common Problems (gin-based) and the Jungle Bird. The drinks were excellent, especially the gin cocktail--botanical forward. So good! The chicken slider was flavorful with a great coleslaw, but the beef slider tasted like frozen sliced meat on a nicely toasted bun--good, but nothing special. The standout dish was the roasted carrots with whipped feta, hot honey and pistachios--absolutely delicious and apparently not ordered often. Y'all better order those carrots! Prices are on the higher side, but the ambiance and drinks make it worth it. I'd definitely return for the cocktails and those incredible carrots.

Throughout the meal, they checked in and made us feel truly taken care of. They even came by with fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies straight off the baking sheet and handed them out for free! The food itself was excellent. They offer great Southern favorites like shrimp & grits and fried chicken, but I went with the fried boneless pork chop. It was perfectly crunchy, full of flavor, and topped with a generous amount of delicious country gravy. Portions are no joke -- I only made it through half before I was stuffed. I did save just enough room to try the cherry pie, and I'm so glad I did. It was fantastic. I can't say enough great things about Local Joe's. The hospitality, the kindness, and the food all make it absolutely worth a visit.
