My honey and I decided to give this neighborhood spot another try. I had been there a few years ago and didn't have the best experience, but it had been long enough so we gave it another shot. First, the service was attentive and quick. We went on a Tuesday evening and got there right before it got busy. By the time we were settled in, people were already waiting. The drinks were SO good. The Mezcal drink was delicious, but the gin drink was my favorite. It had a little sweetness to it, but don't let that fool you because it will catch you off guard. Very good though. We ordered the pork chop with mac and cheese and a salad, and the catch of the day which was scallops with corn risotto. The pork chop was huge, but unfortunately dry and could've used more flavor. The orange topping sounded good, but I wanted that flavor to come through more. The mac and cheese was a hard no for me. Too bland and runny. The salad and honey mustard were good. The scallops were a little overcooked but still good, and that corn risotto was probably my favorite part of the meal. So much flavor. Would we come back? Yes. The music was diverse and the atmosphere is laid back. Next time we'll probably try something more familiar because those burgers coming out looked GOOD, and I want to try the wings too. read more

Another outstanding meal at Lyncoya. I have been coming here for years and it continues to please. The menu keeps refreshing with the seasons and that makes it an easy repeat dining option. Lyncoya has become so popular that on busy nights you sign in and leave a contact so they can let you know when to come into the restaurant. Chicken noodle soup exceeded my expectations. Excellent! Shrimp and Grits continue to be outstanding. They've always been good, but even better today. For quite some time I've been meaning to try this place. Now I'm kicking myself for waiting so long. Our server was ?Andrea? I think. She was very sweet. She took great care of us. They have a lovely tea menu. I had the African nectar tea and it had such a lovely fragrance and flavor. I'll definitely be looking for it to stock up at home. The West Coast wrap definitely tasted like California, with a southern twist. The crispy fried chicken and the Chipotle lime mayo were a flavor explosion. I loved it. When I wasn't looking, my hubby finished it off and I was a little peeved. To be fair, he ordered the smoked gouda grits as a side and I ate half of those when he offered me a tatse. He said his burger was great too. The food here is great. Not aberage, not good. Great. We even took an order of shrimp and grits home. Got here at 6:30pm on a Thursday evening. We were told the wait for our party of 7 was around 90 minutes. Oh my goodness!! The wait was totally worth every moment! Staff were super friendly on a crazy busy night. Large parties almost always have errors in the orders... not at Lyncoya!! Everything was amazing, hot, fresh, and super flavorful!! The ambiance was busy, however the service was on point and we were quickly able to get a good table. We ordered an app consisting of 6 huge buffalo wings with home made blue cheese. The wings were super tasty and hit upon arrival. We then ordered our entrees consisting of a turkey club with fries and my brother had the Ruben with fries. Both entrees were huge and we only finished half of the portions which meant boxes for home. The server was super nice and everyone was attentive. Great atmosphere and food to boot! I rolled into this place with my family, and the whole experience lit up like a clean sector of the Grid. The food was solid, I had the Firecracker Chicken Sandwich, and it delivered a nice kick without overloading my system. About the same heat level as a Chick‑fil‑A spicy. They have the most amazing service from their general Manager Amanda truly sets a precedence of welcoming kindness, she made sure to check in on me and her other patrons to ensure we were enjoying our meal and service ( I miss this!!) to our host Kayla and everyone involved this afternoon hugs all around for amazing food and exceptional service. I've been here 3 times and every time there service has been spectacular! Drinks come out fast and my glass was never empty! Food is always hot and fresh! Big portions for the price! There is normally a wait, but I always go at prime time. Friday and Saturday 7-8pm. They do close at 9pm. And the wait hasn't been longer than 20 mins. The restaurant has a bit of a noisy atmosphere and is usually very busy. Also check the hours before you come because they aren't open every day. The parking lot is also a tight fit. Once seated inside when you get ready to order, be aware the staff is very strict about not letting virtually any dish be customized or altered in any way. It's as if they take it as an insult - but a lot of people have dietary alterations that they prefer (or need) to make. They don't care. I got the pot roast (just as it comes, of course!) and it was a satisfying portion. There is a whole carrot and a whole stick of celery on the plate. Stopped in for lunch today. Wait staff is exceptional! Best unsweetened iced tea and so happy they offered one to go. I tried the Reuben sandwich with fries. It was a huge sandwich. You can tell the corned beef is from scratch. I wanted to like it but it was too heavy on the clove for my liking. But that's on me - not them. If you're not like me I would recommend trying it!! Laura was a fabulous waitress who was super fun and friendly. I wasn't sure what to order but she said the burger of the month was super good. She wasn't wrong. It was a pimento cheeseburger. The burger was perfectly cooked to a medium well. It was moist and had excellent flavor. The fries are super crispy and the perfect size. I had the sweata weatha sangria to drink and it was fabulous. It was packed with fruit and the apple cider gave it a nice undertone. The poutine fries were great. While the restaurant is technically "lakeside" it's on a main road so the lake view also comes with a view of the nearby gas station. The interior is quaint and comfy. read more

Tried this place out for lunch after seeing all of the positive reviews. We've been in the area for 10 years but never had been before and we're glad we did because we will definitely be back. Absolutely love this place! Due to Hendersonville moved out here a couple months with my husband and baby. Saw his recommended on the Henderson Facebook page. Told it was a local favorite and oh my goodness it did not disappoint! I went here with my husband during the week for lunch and got the pot roast and it was so good that I got it to go as well instead of dessert to have for lunch the next day and then we ended up going back on Saturday with our baby. It was yet again incredible. The staff is so incredibly nice. We ended up meeting part of the kitchen staff. They were so nice to our son and everyone is just kind and nice and friendly. We finally got around to visiting Lyncoya Cafe, and our first visit will definitely not be our last! There is often a long wait for a table (this happened the first time I stopped by with a group of friends), so when my husband decided we should go we got there shortly after opening and we were seated pretty quickly. The menu has lots of burgers, sandwiches, and salads, but we opted to try the poutine, meatloaf, and shrimp & grits. The poutine has fries covered in beef gravy, cheese curds, and fried onions, and it was a delicious appetizer. My husband had the meatloaf. It sat on a bed of mashed potatoes, covered in gravy, and topped with a pile of fried (yes, fried!) green beans. I took a couple of bites, and it was some of the best meatloaf I have tasted. My shrimp & grits was also quite good. The shrimp and andouille sausage were plentiful. The Gouda grits had good flavor and were covered with cheese. Also, service was friendly, which is always important. They took great care of us and kept our water glasses filled. There are many more items we are looking forward to trying on the menu, so I am hope to visit again soon. read more

Fried Green Beans are seasoned well and the Philly was delicious and flavorful.
