Tutti Da Gio was a recommended pizza stop, so we went for dinner. It's an order at the counter place and find a table. We should have chosen a larger table because the small one was very crowded if you each get a pizza. We started with the Caprese (Tomatoes & Mozzarella) immaculate mozzarella cheese and slices of fresh tomatoes drizzled in balsamic glaze. We requested more balsamic glaze because it was light. The fresh mozzarella was fantastic with the tomato and acidic balsamic glaze flavor that works so well. Just a great light perfect start and so fresh. Next the Diavola Pizza (Pepperoni) Fresh Mozzarella & Pepperoni over the immaculate tomato sauce. The wood fire crust is so good and just a nice pepperoni pizza. Fantastic Flavor. The Margherita Pizza (Cheese & Basil) Magnificent Pizza Bread Fermented for no less than 24 hours topped with simple tomato sauce covered with Mozzarella and Basil. Ours was more like a cheese pizza as there was hardly any basil. I like a lot of basil like in Italy and being an Italian Pizza I was hoping it would be very similar to Italy. This was more a cheese pizza. The pizza with the wood fired crust was still really good and I would just request more basil if you like a lot like me. This may be my last time coming here. I ordered the Polpette panini, and while eating the first half of my sandwich, I bit into multiple hard pieces of plastic that were baked into the bread. Finding plastic in my food is completely unacceptable and is a serious food safety concern. I brought the sandwich to an employee and was told the plastic came from the container used for the pizza dough. They offered to remake the sandwich, but after already finding plastic in the bread, I asked how they could guarantee there wouldn't be more plastic in another sandwich. The response I received did not give me much confidence. The employee did apologize, but it didn't feel very sincere to me. Instead of another sandwich, I accepted a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs. The spaghetti was fine, but I was not happy with the way they handled the situation. After finding plastic in my meal, I would have preferred a full refund rather than simply being offered a replacement dish. Accidents can happen, but serving food with plastic in it is unacceptable. I left disappointed about the way they handled my situation, and because of this experience, I won't be coming back. read more

We had a great time here! We got the cheese wheel special that's only offered on Tuesdays, and it didn't disappoint! Super creamy cheesy rigatoni with a nice kick of spice. We also tried the pest gnocchi which was really yummy with crunchy pistachios on top. I loved the love music. Plenty of parking in the lot in front. You order your food first and then sit down. We watched the chefs prepare oven fire pizza as we ate! Food came out quick despite the restaurant being very full. Not Deaf friendly. We accidentally thought it opened because another couple walked and placed an order- I guess they are some relatives, that's fine. But it was not necessary for the workers to make us feel so uncomfortable and we had to figure out on our own that we showed up too early. So awkward. Had such hi hopes. On surface it appeared the food would be good. We ordered: bruschetta to start and the we were going to split their pepperoni pizza and a bowl of pasta amatriciana. The bruschetta was good, especially drizzling a tiny bit more olive oil. The pizza was good and tasty but the pasta was just bad. The pasta was drowning in tomato sauce, typically this dish has pancetta and didn't see any. My wife and I both felt this was more like canned sauce and microwaved vs in a pot! Finally had a chance to visit Tutti Da Gio in Hendersonville...the place is beautiful. Open, bright, cheery, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Got to see Vincenzo making those incredible pies but Giovanna was hiding out in Hermitage Started with an Arancini and for lunch the Pasta al Sugo Polpette. The Arancini is the best I've ever tasted...the flavors are perfect and the sauce enhances the filling. The spaghetti here is a wonderfully flavored sauce combined with homemade pasta noodles. This is a dish that makes you go Ahhhhhhh! The Birra Flea Blond Sicilian beer was really good and highly recommend. I was so full, sadly I forgot to grab a dessert to go...sigh. Tutti Da Gio was pasta-tively amazing! With their authentic Sicilian style cuisine, you'll want to try one of everything! Though the space is on the smaller side, we didn't have trouble getting a table. It's first come, first serve and you order at the counter before taking a seat. I love tutti da gio! I have gotten take out before, and is always delicious. My hubby and I went to their restaurant tonight, and was so amazed. I got the spaghetti alla puttenesca, so flavorful and love the spice. It was perfect! You can tell this is a true neighborhood spot, run with passion. Service: Exceptionally warm and friendly. I felt instantly at home--like I was being welcomed into someone's family kitchen. Eats: I started with the Vulcano side salad--romaine, arugula, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, kalamata olives, onions, Parmigiano, and a light balsamic-olive oil dressing. Holy moly this place was very good and came out of nowhere. We ordered through postmates cuz the family was craving Italian and wowee. This pasta is incredible. Home made you can tell. So glad to have Tutti Da Gio closer to home (& only 5 mins from my work ). Stopped by to experience the new location for dinner on Thursday at 6:30 & it was POPPING. Lots of new customers coming & going. I probably saw 100 people go in & out while I was there. I spent some time talking up my favorite menu items to a couple behind us while we waited in line to place our order at the counter. Took about 20 minutes to wait in line & order because it was busy. Once we ordered we grabbed a number & sat at a table that had opened up while we waited. Food was out hot & fresh within 15 minutes. It was everything I've grown to love from the OG old hickory location. The pizza so fresh & perfectly cooked & the panini insanely good with crunch & fluff from the dough that can't be described. Pizza here is exceptional but the sandwiches are next tier. I told a guy about the meatball one & he got it too.I saw him eat the whole thing on the other side of the glass where the outdoor seating was & he gave me a thumbs up when he saw me look at him. Haha. They give you a yummy bread app if you are eating in which was like a small homemade breadstick some sliced bread & a tomato roasted pepper type sauce. It was yummy! I have been to the Hermitage location and eaten outside or in my car. As soon as I found out a brick and mortar was opening I knew I had to stop by. The interior is colorful and inviting. Having just opened up recently the place was booming. Luckily we arrived before the line went out the door. The food is that good. We ordered the Arancini to start. it was cooked to perfection and place upon some marinara. This was my first time ordering this and I was happy I did. I'm not sure I understand this restaurant. This was my second time eating here and both times I have been very disappointed. I went last Friday at 5:00 and it was a hot mess. The restaurant was very hot, the line was long (usually a sign the food is worth the wait), the food was not good, there was no service (they bring you the food and never check on you again...why did I tip?), and all around just a very unpleasant dining experience and a waste of $88. My first area I'd like to discuss is the seating. This is a fast casual concept, it is not a full service restaurant. You walk up and order your food and they bring it to you, pretty simple. What is the ownership doing with the seating arrangement they have going on? They seat you after you order and kick off people who sit in open seats and are reserving them for their families in line. I was not one of those people but when I got to order the lady told me to step aside for 5-15 mins until a party finished and then they could take my order. Huh? Just stand up by the register with my wife and kids in the way of customers and staff? The party behind me opted to sit outside but said two older ladies sitting at a table had not ordered (the cashier said she will kick customers out of the table because that's not allowed). The cashier ran to that table and came back and said they were online so it was ok. I chimed in and said what does online mean? She responded and said my table will be available soon but they were online so it is fine. The lady heading to her outdoor table said the two older men behind her were their husbands and I leaned forward and said NO, you just told me there's no reserving tables and I was here first so why are you giving priority to people behind me? Then the older man got angry because the cashier said they were causing a problem by holding a table and started yelling that she was refusing to serve him. This entire thing made a scene and was uncomfortable. My table became available right then so I just let it go but block off the area or PUT UP SIGNS! The table situation is a mess and you are not seated in fast casual restaurants so improve the process because it's confusing! Now the food...I followed this restaurant on Instagram since day 1. I wanted to like it so bad but both times I've been let down. My first visit I ordered the gnocchi and it was rich! Way too rich for my taste buds and I could only handle two bites. Luckily we ordered a pizza too but the pizza itself tastes identical to what I make at home in my ooni pizza oven, very mediocre and nothing memorable. This past Friday I ordered the meatball sandwich and it was awful, i ate half of it because I was starving and that's all I could handle. The meatballs were VERY dry and drenched with salt! I could not believe how salty they were, it was disgusting. I tried my wife's meat ragu and it lacked flavor. Both my kids ordered pizza and said my homemade version tastes better (maybe I should open a pizza joint lol). We also ordered the risotto ball and it was a mushy mess, if you want risotto balls go to Pastaria in Nashville, those are risotto balls! I have seen all the hard work for them to open this restaurant so I don't want to put a 1 star, but based on both of my dinning experiences I cannot go above 2...it did not live up to the hype and the ordering process was a disaster. read more

Finally made it over to the new location! And they have not skipped a beat. Tutti Da Gio is the best Italian restaurant in middle Tennessee, hands down. Without a question. Wish it was closer to me because we'd be there all the time. Would love for them to open a location in murfreesboro because I think they would do really well. Always great! Every time I go back my food is perfect. In fact, The last time I went there they were training someone on the pizza station. I watched him make my pizza. The gentleman training him had to step away for a moment to help a customer. When he returned he noticed the new employee he was training had my pizza in the oven already. He grabbed the pizza out and checked it. Apparently it wasn't up to his standards so he came to me and asked if i mind waiting while they remade it for me. Of course i didn't mind. Today we had the opportunity to try Tutti Da Gio's newest location in Hendersonville. This location has a nice dine in area, which makes it a great option for a sit down meal. Orders are placed at the counter, and then food is brought out to your table. We have tried the pepperoni pizza, meatball panini, and Sicilian lasagna (all very good) at the Hermitage location, so today we wanted to try some other menu items. We tried the margherita pizza with added sausage, the salad, and the tortellini with cream sauce. The salad was fresh, with a lot of basil in the house dressing. We enjoyed our pizza, too, but the star of the show was the tortellini! Delicious thick cream sauce with prosciutto and plenty of pasta. My husband and I shared everything and we both agreed this dish was our favorite. We will definitely order this again! Tutti is a really solid place to get your Italian fix. I was a bit surprised that it was counter service, but it did not bother us too much. It can get busy depending on the time you go, we had about a 20 minute wait to order. Everything we had was pretty good, I had the potato pizza which felt a touch undercooked. I read Gracie G's review giving the restaurant 1 star and saying it isn't authentic. I would have to agree. My wife and I grew up in NJ and it is hard to find anything authentic when it comes to Italian in this area. With that said the meatballs my wife ordered had a smoky barbecue taste to them. Not what we were expecting. I ordered the tortellini with prosciutto. This was good. The bread was fine. Drink selection was fine as well. The Cannolo (Cannoli) was ok. It had a cinnamon flavor which was odd. Service was very good. Also, the AC wasn't working well. Hot in the restaurant, but they had some portable units trying to address the issue. Not necessarily the restaurant's fault. May go again and try something different. Pizzas looked good. read more
