Breadsticks

Tasty pizza! This is a takeout-only operation right now run out of Citizen Kitchens (a food business "incubator"). Breadsticks: 3/5 The soft and chewy texture of the breadsticks was great, but I would've liked a more generous coating of garlic parmesan butter for extra flavor. The marinara sauce on the side was also tasty, but I wish it would've been served warm instead of at room temp. The Italian: 5/5 Absolutely delicious! Loved how the edges of the pepperoni curled upward, allowing a pool of oil to collect on top of each one. The Italian sausage was also tasty, and the dollops of ricotta added a creamy decadence to the pizza. And I appreciated the generous sprinkling of Italian seasoning all over, as it provided an extra punch of flavor.

Awesome pizza from a great local team! The owners are buckeye and wolverine fans, so add or remove stars accordingly.

On my last day visiting Nashville I briskly walked to St. Vito Focacceria to make their lunch…read moreservice. I sat alone at the bar and had a lovely time chatting with several team members in the background. They all were so welcoming and pleasant. They also had a great playlist going in the background. My shoot-o focaccia sandwich was GIGANTIC and reasonably priced ($16-$18?). Since I wasn't about to hop on a plane with leftovers and because it was too delicious to let go to waste, I finished every last bite. The restaurant area and bathroom were pristine. This is a well kept establishment. I recommend!

Was debating 4 or 5 stars for this one but ultimately went with 4 for the following reasons:…read more- overall pretty expensive even for Nashville given that we mostly ate bread - $3 "liquor by the glass" charge for my already $17 espresso martini - my boyfriend had to get up from the table and ask at the bar for more water after we waited for 15 mins for our server - tables very very close together makes it somewhat awkward to have conversation The positives: -Really cute spot otherwise, lighting, ambiance was great -Food was all solid. We loved the beef tartare ($28) and the ricotta spread with the focaccia snack plate. The sfincione were great too. -servers were friendly I think I would come back for lunch and try some more sfincione! The dinner menu rotates and was quite different and more pricey than the ones I had seen on here previously.

Dicey's has now surpassed all other pizza spots in Nashville to become my favorite, which says a…read morelot because I'm the self-proclaimed pizza queen. All I can say is YUM!! The Chicago-style thin crust is killer and they have so pizzas to choose from. My personal favorite is the Peppy Boy. If you love curled pepperonis cooked to perfection with a drizzle of hot honey, this is the one for you. Plus, they have the best homemade ranch I've had in Nashville! Service is super quick, and even if you don't sit on the patio, the open garage doors keep the space cool and breezy! Just be sure to time your trip right since it gets super busy, and don't forget to get your garage parking validated down the street!

To be honest, I've only tried the pizza, so I can't speak to the sandwiches. The Caesar salad is really good, and the tater tots are definitely worth ordering. The pizza dips add an extra layer of flavor, although the pizzas themselves are so delicious that they honestly don't need much help. Where I do find some inconsistency is with the wine selection. There have been quite a few times when the bottles we like aren't in stock. The other is the pizza toppings--sometimes the pizzas come loaded with toppings, while other times they're noticeably lighter. Overall, though, the pizza is very good. The atmosphere is casual and easygoing, and the gluten-free pizza is excellent--a huge plus for us. Despite the inconsistencies, we'll definitely keep coming back!

Frankie's -- Our New Go-To Italian Restaurant!…read more Frankie's is definitely not a restaurant you want to judge by its cover. Walking in, we honestly didn't have the highest expectations--but our perspective changed very quickly! The service was friendly, kind, and incredibly thoughtful. Our waitress walked my wife through the cocktail options, while the sommelier offered to take our bottle of wine and chill it in their cellar. Those little touches made a great first impression. And the food? An absolute 10! As our waitress highlighted the menu, I asked if they had bruschetta. They didn't, but she suggested combining two dishes to create our own--and we did! Their Heirloom Tomato Salad was fantastic, especially paired with their olive oil. The flavor was terrific. For our main courses, my wife ordered the Tennessee Corn Ravioli with Crispy Prosciutto, and I had the Cavatelli with Hot Sausage and Browned Sage Butter. Both were absolutely fantastic. Since moving here, we've been looking for our "go-to" Italian restaurant--and we found it! Overall, we couldn't have been happier. The food was a 10/10, and the service and care from our waitress and the management were excellent. We'll be back over and over and over! Our only suggestion: as the sun sets, several tables get hit with direct sunlight. A little shade would make the experience even better and keep guests from getting blinded during dinner. But that's a very small issue compared with how great everything else was. Frankie's is a winner!

The Bianca bread has nice flavor, but ours was rather charred. The meat and cheese plate is a good sampling for 2-3. The seasonal pasta with Tennessee was delicious but overly salty. I wanted the corn to shine a bit more, but the crunchy prosciutto takes over. The cavatelli with spicy sausage is a rich, oily dish with gummy texture. I wouldn't get that dish again. Dessert was a perfect end. The peach cake is not too sweet, while the chocolate tort is rich and happy. Service was great, and the interior is refined, warm, and restrained.
