What a great hidden gem! We needed a late night nosh (8pm is late for us lol) after a hot and tiring day on Broadway and wanted to stay away from the craziness of downtown. When we first arrived I was a little worried we were in the wrong spot but someone caught our eye and directed us to the door in the back corner Our server was so nice and quickly provided his pizza recommendation (shrimp, delightful) and it did not disappoint! We also got the buffalo chicken dip. The chips were a little thin for dipping but I also appreciate the thinness so I can eat more without filling up as fast :-P Added bonus they had a Photo Booth - 2 strips for $9! read more

Good evening, I am writing to share my disappointment regarding my experience at Duco's during your Thursday reverse happy hour. My friend and I arrived just before 9:00 p.m. and waited outside until happy hour officially began because I was excited to introduce him to your restaurant and, specifically, your pizza. He is not from the area, and I had spoken highly of your establishment. Unfortunately, our experience ended almost immediately after we sat at the bar. The bartender/server, RJ, greeted us with an unwelcoming attitude. I politely asked what the happy hour specials were for Thursday. Instead of answering my question, he silently pointed and repeatedly tapped the menu he had handed us. The menu listed specials for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday--but there was no Thursday happy hour listed. I was simply asking for clarification. Rather than providing a simple answer, RJ remained dismissive and passive-aggressive. There was no greeting, no hospitality, and no attempt to assist us. As a customer, I found his behavior unnecessarily rude and disrespectful, especially considering I had done nothing more than ask a reasonable question. The interaction made both of us so uncomfortable that I asked for his name and chose to leave without ordering any food or drinks. My friend never had the opportunity to try your restaurant because of the poor customer service we received within moments of sitting down. I wanted to make management aware of this experience because customer service is a critical part of any dining establishment. One negative interaction was enough to cost your restaurant not only our business that evening, but any future visits as well. It is unfortunate that what should have been an enjoyable experience ended before it even began due to the conduct of one employee. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that other customers do not have a similar experience. read more

Delicious pizza and friendly service! I hear this place gets busy at night, but we were the only ones there for Lunch on a Wednesday. We really enjoyed the Meatball Appetizer! 3 good sized meatballs in a tasty sauce with fresh basil. The Large Pepperoni Pizza was delicious. It was perfectly cooked and the crust was strong enough to hold the toppings, but was still foldable and chewy. The restaurant is spacious and clean with a fair amount of seating and a large bar. Dukos was a pleasant surprise and I'd recommend it! read more

Wanted to check out local spots while in town. There was a private event going on so the full menu was not available. I wanted to try the oxtail Pizza Hut my husband is not as adventurous lol. He doesn't eat pork so we got a pizza half pepperoni and half olives and banana peppers. We also got an order of meatballs since they were need only, which is rare to find sometimes. The meatballs were really good!! Full of flavor and tender. The pizza was good too. I loved the crust. Definitely a nice spot to check out. read more

Someone please tell me why I am just now trying this place?!?! So many people have told me I need to try them out and i keep forgetting about them. Then one day I was like ok let's go! Me and my friend went in during their happy hour on a Thursday and we sat at the bar. The staff was welcoming and friendly. They had really good happy hour specials. We got the Rockefeller oysters and the lemon pepper wings pizza and margaritas. Everything was delicious! I am definitely going back to try other things on the menu for sure! read more

My friends & I stopped in for happy hour, and it was my first time. I'm told it's Black-owned, so always happy to support. It's an open, airy space. They have something playing on the wall, great for conversation. We could order from the happy hour menu at the tables, which is always a plus for me. Our server Joyous was really kind & helpful. There's free parking in the lot outside the restaurant. Love: cheesy bread (crust is delicious!); oxtail pizza (flavor is wonderful & crust so good! Personally would want more oxtail) Like: lemon drop cocktail read more

I absolutely love this place!! it's the perfect stop for a bite after work... a great place to watch the game... or just to simply vibe and eat. I came in on a Saturday and there was a live DJ a super cool group of people and an amazing waitress. Joy was my server and she was so sweet and attentive. I will definitely be back to see her. My favorites on the menu are the garlic Parmesan oysters, stuffed peppers, and shrimp Caesar salad salad. Of course, I also had to treat myself to a lychee martini. This is definitely a go to spot in the city. read more

Dukos really showed out from start to finish. The ambiance is warm, stylish, and inviting without feeling overdone. It has that perfect balance of elevated but comfortable, making it just as good for a casual night out as it is for date night. The lighting, music, and overall energy make you want to settle in and actually enjoy your time. The service was attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, made great recommendations, and checked in just enough to make sure we were good without hovering. Everything came out in a timely manner and felt well paced, which always makes a difference. As for the food, we ordered the street taco pizza and it was such a fun, flavorful twist. The crust was perfectly crisp, the toppings were well seasoned, and everything balanced really well together. It's one of those dishes you keep reaching for even when you're already full. The lobster fettuccine was rich, creamy, and comforting without being too heavy. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the lobster was tender and flavorful. It felt elevated but still approachable, which I loved. The drinks were just as good. The Blow Fish was smooth with a little kick, refreshing and very easy to drink. The Purple Rain was flavorful without being overly sweet and just as pretty as it was good. Between the food, drinks, service, and vibe, Dukos is absolutely a spot I'd come back to. Great energy, great experience, and definitely worth a visit read more

I can hear with the anticipation on ordering the oxtail pizza. Sadly, they were sold out. Eventually, I hope to get back to try it out. Love the vibe of this place. Our server and host were phenomenal. They were very accommodating and overall welcoming into their establishment. There was a wait on the pizzas, but with the amount of people here on this night it was expected. We ordered the mushroom and Nashville hot chicken. The pizzas are thin crust fyi. I wasn't a big fan of the Nashville hot chicken. I would have preferred a little more heat to it, but also breaded chicken over the grilled chicken pieces. I will say I wasn't too pleased with the oysters. Dukos does have their own twist they put on an oyster Rockefeller, but I wasn't a big fan. Def try them to see what you think. read more

What a gem to try! From the moment we walked in to leaving with our bellies full and content, our time was well spent! We came in on a weekday, not only was there rockstar parking there was plenty of seating options. We were immediately greeted by the hostess, she was lovely and helped us with our order. From the broiled oysters to the pizza it was delicious! Definitely a great date night spot, great place to hang with friends, they can accommodate larger parties and overall a great vibe that allows you to actually talk to the person you're with and hear them without yelling over music or too much noise! Will definitely be back, cannot wait to try more of the menu! read more

The food was great. Drinks were refreshing. The oysters on happy hour are a steal. I will definitely be going back.

Dukos was our first stop after arriving in Nashville, and it was a great choice. We found it through a late night Google search since it was open later, and the photos highlighting the oxtail pizza and oysters immediately caught my attention. Parking was a bit tight. The lot is small, so we had to circle around and wait for a spot. The restaurant itself is located in an industrial, garage style space. Once inside, we were welcomed by smooth R&B music and a fun, modern interior. The atmosphere felt hip and culture forward without turning into a party scene. We were seated in Joyous's section, and she was fantastic. She was kind, sweet, attentive, and made sure our table was well taken care of throughout the evening. To start, I ordered the lychee martini, which was delicious. I also tried the Honeydew cocktail made with Sir Davis, and it was very good as well. For food, we ordered the oysters Rockefeller and the 12 inch oxtail pizza. The oysters were a nice size, but they were very topping heavy. There was so much spinach and breadcrumbs that at times it was hard to tell if I was actually eating the oyster. The oxtail pizza, on the other hand, was pretty good and enjoyable overall. All in all, we really enjoyed our visit to Dukos. Between the atmosphere, the drinks, and the service, it made for a solid first stop in Nashville, and I would definitely return. read more

First time here. Came here after the Rose Festival in East. My sister had been hearing about this place so we wanted to check it out. I ordered the Rockefeller oysters they weren't bad, not the best I have ever had but they were good. My friend ordered the oxtail pizza and it wasn't bad but my Nashville hot chicken pizza was very good. Our waitress was real sweet and the vibes were real chill. I will definitely be back. read more

Understaffed for sure, waited for over 5 mins... there was already people in front of me waiting and no one came to the front to help the people in front of me or me... very disappointed I wanted to try the oxtail Pizza which looked amazing. Don't waste your time. I had ordered a pizza for pickup, and arrived 5 minutes after pickup time. I was told it wasn't quite ready yet. 20 minutes passed with no update. When asked for an update, I was told that they had to remake my pizza and it would be another 20 minutes. Simple communication could've mitigated my frustration, but instead I left without a pizza and will not be back. read more

Dukos Pizza Bar is one of the newest pizza spots in Nashville and the latest addition to this area of Dickerson Pike. Tucked on the side, in the back of the plaza building that holds Makeshift, Cricket and a few other local spots, Dukos is a small spot with big vibes and even bigger taste! We came by on the first Friday night after opening as word on the street was the pizza here was legit, and those words spoke truth! Given its recent launch and this being our first visit, we had to sample a few things on the menu. We started with an order of cheese bread, and meatballs. Cheese bread was soft and fluffy, covered and stuffed with gooey cheese and sided with marinara. The meatballs, three to an order, were oversized meatballs served in a skillet with homemade sauce and topped with that same gooey cheese as the bread. Both apps were excellent and a great lead into the main dishes...the pizza! We went with two pies, the classic pepperoni with a hot honey twist, and the prosciutto arugula. The pizzas are 16", cooked from scratch and delicious. The pizzas are reminiscent of NY style pies, thin and crispy, but still foldable and sturdy enough to hold the toppings. Toppings are well placed and spread evenly, with just enough on each slice. The sauce is light, and the cheese is perfectly scattered. Crust to topping ratio is stellar. In addition to the pizza, they have a full bar. Menu has curated cocktails, as well as beer and wine. A few of us went with the house cocktails, and I went with a classic gin & tonic. All were tasty and a great pairing with the pizzas. Service was solid from entry to exit. Our server, Coco, was friendly, helpful and fun! The space is fairly small, featuring a good sized bar in the center of the room and the walls outfitted with booths and tables, and one random couch near the entry. They have an open kitchen in the back corner near the neon signs, which is a really great add to the overall vibe. Loved our trip in, but just a few things to note for the newly opened restaurant...turn the music down a tad and remove that couch. Overall, really enjoyed our experience. Pizza was solid and vibes were just right. read more

Decided to checkout a new spot, hard to find if you're not familiar with the area cause the door is on the side of the building. But the space is large and opened, loved that. Theres a large bar too. Music playing, great vibes. There were 7 of us. We started off with some appetizers, not pictured meatballs weren't a favorite, but the oysters were good. We ended up getting 3 pastas and an oxtail and pepperoni pizza which we all really enjoyed. Pizza was cooked perfectly. It was a lot of food. We still had a bit to take home. I'll definitely be back for some pizza and our server was great she took care all of us. read more

Came back and tried the oxtal pizza and it did not disappoint! So glad i got to try this during pizza week. The small is normally $28 which is pricey, however, the flavor is incredible! Mostly savory but has some sweetness. The collard greens compliment the oxtail well and it doesn't taste like you are necessarily eating veggies. read more

I went to happy hour (5 to 7). The service was great. The Margaritas were delicious. They were generous with the liquor and you can't beat the price of 6. It was worth double that. SADIE the bartender was awesome. Appetizer...the Rockefeller oysters. They were good but I felt like they heated them right before coming to the table because they didn't have that Sizzle that you would expect. The oxtail pizza was good but it wasn't great. I did love the thin crust. It was so hyped up that I expected more and I would have appreciated more meat. The Pepperoni pizza was good but didn't look like the pizza I saw online that was covered in pepperonis. Overall I gave it a 3.5 out of 5. read more

Oh my, a few people we met here in Nashville told us about this place. In a city known for chicken, chicken & chicken, I wanted some good pizza. Went with 2 of my girlfriends and boy this place did not disappoint. Our waitress(Coco) was very pleasant & friendly. The decor is nice and they had ATL(the movie) playing on the wall. No sound but there was music playing as well. Now to the PIZZA. I had the infamous Oxtail pizza, and my friends had shrimp pizza & pepperoni and they were all "DelicioSo" . I would definitely get the Ox & shrimp again. The pep was just pep but had a nice flavor and crust was perfect. O and the Oyster Rockefeller was good too! Check em out! read more

This experience here was less than subpar. My girlfriend and I were the only white people in here, I don't think that matters but it seemed like we weren't greeted for that reason. It is designed nicely, it looks very well kept together it's just in a bad area and again, wasn't greeted, served or anything which makes me have to leave this review. We sat down and stayed for 15 minutes or so before deciding to leave. Unfortunately we didn't get any pizza and I don't see us returning. read more

They answered the phone unprofessionally saying "they're just going to order and not get it anyway." I'm not sure why the lady yelled that in the background. Ordered two 12 inch pizzas- lemon pepper and the corn one. Both were pretty good. I appreciated the unique flavor combinations.
