As previously mentioned, Gio's Chicago Pizza is located in Citizen Kitchens and is for takeout only. The front door was hard to find as there were several large food trucks parked out front, but it is the red double door entrance. Having recently been to Chicago, and I would say their deep dish is good for Nashville standards, but not as great as what you can get Chicago. We got a supreme deep diThe crust could be more buttery and flakey, and the vegetables could be fresher. The sauce had a great flavor and the cheese was very good quality lending to a nice cheese pull. Overall, it was cooked very well too. Their staff was friendly, even though we came a few minutes earlier than our pizza was ready. It's worth a try, especially if you're craving deep dish in Nashville. Just don't expect it to be identical to the deep dish in Chicago.

Let me set the stage here, so you're not surprised when you order Gio"s. It is not a restaurant. It is a place that has set up in the community kitchen on Alabama. You enter in the 47th street side and walk into the kitchen. In short, no place to eat. Take out only. The good is awesome, however. Think crusty droopy dish with a great mozzarella cheese. Layers of toppings and a nice homemade sauce on top. When i brought this into Bold Patriot to eat, my friend said "how much do I owe you?" His jaw does when I mentioned what it cost, he had a shocked look until he held the box and felt the weight of the pie. I plan on visiting them Wednesdsy for their pop up at Harding House. I need to try the tavern style and Italian beef sandwich.

Ordered delivery tonight...it's soooo soooo soo good! Tried the wings - nice work. Appreciate having y'all as an option. Thank you

What I ordered vs what I got

Gave this place another try. Pictures on website definitely don't match the product. Terrible pizza. I don't know what part of Chicago they are from but it's definitely not the same one I'm from. So disappointed

Awesome pizza!!! Can't say enough about this place. This has become our go-to pizza place. Pizza tastes like Rosati's if you're a Chicago tavern pizza lover. Wings have a great flavor too. Tried their deep dish and really liked that too. It's a communal kitchen so it's to-go only but don't let that stop you from trying this place!!

Cicero Combo Deep Dish Pizza (Looks thin in this pic... is was not. The sausage is super thick and was really well spiced!)

Great place! Pickup only. Worth the trip if you're into deep dish. Got it packaged for a longer trip home (Italian Beef deconstructed and pizza uncut). When we got home, it was still hot enough to eat though. The sausage was spectacular. Really well spiced. Good texture. They've got their own thing going. It was good. For Nashville it's the best I've had. And it's better than some I've had in Chicago. Italian beef was great too. Unique roll. Giardiniera was standard, but they have some home made they are making that I'm looking forward to trying. Cool people for sure. Worth supporting. They took good care of me.

We ended up finding a spot in the upstairs seat-yourself section within 10 minutes and had excellent service from the bartenders up there. Great TVs and fun atmosphere to watch a game. The food was excellent overall. The hot honey pepperoni pizza with feta was phenomenal, so delicious. The pesto chicken sandwich was also great. We had 2 hot chicken sandwiches which were good. Everything was hot and fresh. Reasonably priced & good quantity of food for the prices. I would definitely come back, and will make a reservation next time to make everyone's life easier!

I sat alone at the bar and had a lovely time chatting with several team members in the background. They all were so welcoming and pleasant. They also had a great playlist going in the background. Since I wasn't about to hop on a plane with leftovers and because it was too delicious to let go to waste, I finished every last bite. The restaurant area and bathroom were pristine. The pizza dips add an extra layer of flavor, although the pizzas themselves are so delicious that they honestly don't need much help. Where I do find some inconsistency is with the wine selection. There have been quite a few times when the bottles we like aren't in stock. The other is the pizza toppings--sometimes the pizzas come loaded with toppings, while other times they're noticeably lighter. Overall, though, the pizza is very good. Frankie's -- Our New Go-To Italian Restaurant!…read more Frankie's is definitely not a restaurant you want to judge by its cover. Walking in, we honestly didn't have the highest expectations--but our perspective changed very quickly! The service was friendly, kind, and incredibly thoughtful. Our waitress walked my wife through the cocktail options, while the sommelier offered to take our bottle of wine and chill it in their cellar. Those little touches made a great first impression. And the food? An absolute 10! As our waitress highlighted the menu, I asked if they had bruschetta. They didn't, but she suggested combining two dishes to create our own--and we did! Their Heirloom Tomato Salad was fantastic, especially paired with their olive oil. The flavor was terrific. For our main courses, my wife ordered the Tennessee Corn Ravioli with Crispy Prosciutto, and I had the Cavatelli with Hot Sausage and Browned Sage Butter. Both were absolutely fantastic. Since moving here, we've been looking for our "go-to" Italian restaurant--and we found it! Overall, we couldn't have been happier. The food was a 10/10, and the service and care from our waitress and the management were excellent. We'll be back over and over and over! Our only suggestion: as the sun sets, several tables get hit with direct sunlight. A little shade would make the experience even better and keep guests from getting blinded during dinner. But that's a very small issue compared with how great everything else was. Frankie's is a winner!
