Lasagna
Jessica L.

Let me start off by saying I went here when it first opened and I was blown away. I recently went and I was a little disappointed. They must have changed the menu because they did not have my favorite dish, spaghetti with white clams. I recently ordered the lasagna and it was insanely dry and over cooked. It was the Monday special and it seems at 7pm to be sitting out all day. The potato and zucchini chips had way too much Gorgonzola that it took away from the chip flavor and texture making them soggy. The service was great! Friendly waiters, however, it was odd the waitress tried to up sell us on everything we ordered. The ambiance was nice. Sadly given the amount of Italian restaurants in Nashville I don't think I will be going back.

Overall vibes, decor, and service were all impeccable. The appetizers we ordered were all phenomenal. The meatball appetizer is easily one of the best meatballs I've ever had. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the seasoning of the entrees. The rigatoni bolognese and the chicken piccata were pretty bland. The short rib was tender but a bit too salty. Overall it was a lovely dinner out, but we won't be rushing to make plans to come back to Luogo in the near future.

Authentic Italian! Recommendations from our server, Hunter, were all on point. Four ladies in our party, all with very different dishes we were debating between. Hunter helped us settle between gnocchi and Fritto Misto, chicken Marsala and meatballs, Tiramisu and cheesecake, the list goes on and on. Each and every thing we had was delicious - Arancini and Burrata to start. Arancini is normally 3 Risotto balls, somehow we got lucky and it came with 4. Burrata with prosciutto was delicious and creamy, also worth noting there is something very special about the flavor of the balsamic vinegar on the arugula. We actually ate all of the arugula because it was so good. My duck ragu was excellent, full of fresh tomato flavor that complemented the duck. Fresh pasta was cooked perfectly, and tableside topped with fresh grated cheese. Service was very attentive, and we were visited by the Manager as well as the Sommelier. With such different tastes, we opted out of ordering a bottle of wine on this visit but they had a great selection on offer. Portions were plentiful and none of us finished our entrees. The backwaiter was very kind in boxing and individually bagging each of our entrees, and later, the unfinished desserts we had to have. Our table for four was in the middle of the dining area. It was a bit loud for an intimate conversation, but after a cocktail, we no longer noticed. Restrooms were cleaned and well stocked, but I admit to missing hand towels as they had hand dryers only.

We went to Luogo with friends to celebrate my birthday. My husband made a reservation and when we got there we were seated right away! The decor and layout was so chic and I loved all the lemon painted walls. Our server was great and very knowledgeable, gave us great recommendations and helpful with everything! The manager came to our table and introduced himself, the rest of the wait staff was great also, very attentive! We got 4 appetizers; large Meatball, zucchini chips, fritto misto, and ceasar salad. My favorite out of the 4 was the meatball a the zucchini chips. For my main dish I got the rigatoni bolognese. It was good but I wish there was a bit more flavor. Over all it was a great experience and wouldn't mind going back!!

Pulled up to Luogo to take the wife and fam out for her birthday, so you know I had to roll in with a little style. Valet was fifteen bucks. Yeah, I know there's parking across the street, but sometimes you gotta flex a bit lol especially when it's wifey's birthday. Inside, the vibe was coo. Every table full, people talking loud, forks clanking, everyone staring at their menu with the look of excitement but can't decide lol. Every time I took a sip of water, the glass got refilled instantly. I swear one homie had to be hiding behind a plant watching me like, "Go ahead bruh, sip it. I dare you." I was dying lol. We kicked things off with the Grilled Caesar and the Arancini. Caesar was coo, nothing wild, but those arancini balls were smackin for real. Crispy, cheesy, fried perfectly. I could have eaten a whole bucket.I started the night with a Basil Hayden, then ran through a couple Brooklyn East IPAs because it's a birthday dinner. Treat yourself, don't cheat yourself. For my plates I had the Frito Misto which was crispy salty seafood goodness and straight up delish. The Wagyu Beef Carpaccio was good and I would not have been mad at a couple more slices. The Beef Meatball alla Toscana was basically a whole meal in itself. All it needed was some toasted Italian bread and room temp butter. The Creamy Polenta was an ok side but I would choose a different one next time. Just personal preference don't hate : ) I did do the Pasta Tax tho and tried everyone's food lol. All smackin, all worth stealing a forkful. Closed out with the Ricotta Cheesecake and a Limoncello on the rocks. Cheesecake was bomb, fluffy and creamy. Limoncello tasted like Italian sunshine in a glass it was a good finish. Only thing is the place is loud. Be ready to yell your conversation or just text the person across the table like, "You good" but honestly that's part of the vibe. Service and staff was exceptional! They do take care of you without any hesitation. I was very impressed. Much respect : ) Would definitely come back and try more from the menu. Just a date night without the fam lol

Bolognese. The best !!

Don't pass this by. Real Italian food in Nashville ? Yes !! Anthony Scotto brings a fantastic menu to town and everything is great. Seriously we have been here at least 8 times and not a single fail. Service, staff, food and drinks.

Arancini -- yum!
Jen S.

Top notch service by hostess/booking and servers! Connor took our order for the entire meal & then "coursed" out items for a good dining flow. Food was all goooooood and not nearly as expensive as I'd heard. Portions were generous, too. We had 9 people (including an infant!) and tried many dishes with no disappointments. Breadsticks on table were interestingly spicy, & came with olives. We also ordered the focaccia which was great. Recommend this hip spot, stylish but not pretentious. A bit loud during prime time, with a distinct private room that can be closed off. Valet parking on site or plenty of spot hero parking options or street parking (free after 6?).

Great dinner for date night. Healthy serving of pastas and great cocktails. Will be back!

Jessica G.

The service was great, the drinks were good, the food was a mix. I really loved the meatballs and the tiramisu was good, the gnocchi was not for me. The sauce was weird and I didn't enjoy it.

Gnocchi Pomodorini

The food and service here were phenomenal. We started with the meatball, arancini, and salmon crudo. The crudo is a small portion but it was easily my favorite of the starters. I had the gnocchi and loved it. My boyfriend had the chicken Marsala and we all thought the sauce was excellent. They have a nice wine and cocktail list available as well. Emma was wonderful as our server and made helpful recommendations. I would absolutely come back here next time I'm in Nashville!

This place is one of the best Italian restaurant in Nashville. Some of their is pretty close to authentic Italian food. This place will exceed all your expectations as it did for me. Try their Thursday Veal dish. It's amazing !!!! Your meal will start with yummy complimentary breadsticks and olives on to the flavorful meals. Some of their dish I recommend are Pappardelle with Duck Ragu, Rigatoni Bolognese, Whole milk burrata, grilled pizza margherita and Veal dish. Dinner gets more enjoyable with outgoing friendly servers with full of energy. The lemon tree deco will definitely give you the feeling of Italy.

Cannolis inside a giant cannoli!!

I was at Luogo on a Thursday night and it was packed. This didn't affect the food or the service. Get all the apps if you can! Every last one. We had the meatballs which were great. They have a chips Gorgonzola thing that is also tremendous Because Thursday, they had veal special which was tender and giant. While incredibly full, we did get the cannoli dessert. It's basically a whole bunch of to tiny cannolis in a giant one! Who says no Server was excellent but definitely giving us the upsell. It's fine. Who can blame him If you find yourself in Nashville and want great nyc Italian, definitely check this place out Also the owner was there and came by a number of times. Funny, interesting and definitely passionate about his spot.

Review from a Professional eater. If you are in Nashville, this is the spot to eat 1st, Our server Mateo was great; this place is lucky have him as an employee. You can tell he loves his job. Now the food, OMG. I live in Long Island, NY, seafood is a regular for me, yet LUOGO's Red snapper w/ tomatoes is the best I have tried. And that is just my food. Everybody at my table enjoyed!!! I HIGHLY recommend LUOGO's and ask for Mateo

Both were delicious, the Gnocchi was light, exactly how it should be and the Gorgonzola-Pecorino creme sauce was was smooth and perfectly made. We couldn't resist a good finish, so we split a Tiramisu - Mascarpone cream & Coffee lady finger cookies topped with cocoa powder. I had an espresso & my wife opted for a cappuccino (even though it was after 11am... shh, don't tell anyone). The server was attentive & helpful and we enjoyed the food. We were actually between the normal lunch & dinner shift, so the restaurant was not too busy. We opted to sit outside which was a little noisy from the road traffic at that hour, I did take a look inside and at the kitchen area. On our next trip here, we will be sitting inside and try some of their wine, and other offerings. Both the Gnocchi and the Pizza were very good, and we look forward to our next visit.

The areas for improvement: 1) for new customers to the restaurant it would be helpful if the waitress even asked the patron if they had any questions, were able to navigate the full menu in the app. Our waitress merely said use your phone to see the menu & order. 2) they provide each table with a "call" button but it is useless. We pressed it many times & twice I had to leave the table to go find a waitress to ask a quick or get assistance. 3) we were provided a bottle of water when we first sat down but had to track down our waitress to request a refill 4) it would be grand if all of the plates for the same table are served relatively close together 5) consistency between plates could use improvement. 2 plates were ordered the same at our table but one had significantly more pesto than the other. 5) if you want a waitress to actually do their job, well maybe dine at a different establishment. Where they had an absolute FAIL: I expressed my severe food allergy to the waitress. Her nonchalant response was "they should change gloves between dishes". I had to ask her to double check with the kitchen because I wasn't looking to die today. A food allergy can be life threatening & should be taken seriously! Overall I don't think we would return. The menu was a bit difficult to find everything the restaurants had to offer. The waitress was terrible. If I was her employer I would be looking for a replacement hire.

We sat outside with the heaters on, and it felt cozy and intimate. We started the night with the Meatballs and the Whipped Ricotta with chili honey...I'm still thinking about them. Both were incredible. We also ordered Espresso Martinis, which were good, although definitely on the stronger, coffee-forward side. If you like spinach, you MUST try the Rotolo Alla Vodka. I've never had anything like it-- the sauce was unreal. We also shared the Ophelia's Lasagna, which was almost just as good... almost. For dessert, we split the Tiramisu, and it did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was a solid 10/10. Every plate was gone before I even thought to take out my phone for pictures. Our server, Gavin, really elevated the experience. He was extremely welcoming and gave the best recommendations! It was packed on a Saturday night, so definitely make a reservation. We saw a mix of large groups and couples.
