In Rim country for photo shooting, as soon as I got cell signal back, searched on Yelp for late lunch. I saw craft beer and pizza here and sounded good. It was past lunch time but they were busy. Took the table inside. They have outdoor seating available and looked very nice with cooler weather. Their craft beer rotate every four days. Prickly pear kind was smooth. They have good wine selection too. Pizza was very good. They make their dough in house, I watched them cook pizza in the oven, chef makes sure it cooked properly. Really great pizza! My husband ordered a sausage pizza, and thinking that the pizzas were individual sized, I decided to try something new and ordered the East Coast Clam pizza. When we saw the pizzas coming out we realized we over ordered but boy were we glad we had! This original east coaster had never had a clam pizza and it was unbelievably good. Why does this place get good reviews? Like others (the ones who have been honest) have said, it's mediocre pizza with slow service. Took 30 minutes for a pizza during the week. The pizza was undercooked yet the crust looked charred. Doughy, cheese separated from the sauce because it wasn't done, and worst of all there was a piece of wood in my pizza. Wood!!!!! How on earth does that happen? It was a choking hazard. The pizza was no better than Dominos, the wood ruined it for me and the service is slow. My first time in Strawberry, AZ. It's a small town with lots of character. This place was the top place on yelp, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered wood fired calamari, Italian chopped salad and a meat pie Pizza. This was plenty of food for 2! My favorite thing was the dough used for the breadsticks and the pizza. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They do have a problem with flies, but it's tough to keep them out when the front door is constantly open. Cheers! read more

this place was SO GREAT. my friend and i are from phx and just did a short day trip up in payson and asked a local where a good place to get lunch was and she recommended this one. so happy we got the chance to try this place - seriously some of the best pizza i've ever had and all the employees were extremely nice. my friend and i got a cider on tap (which was delicious) and we got a simple pizza with added pepperoni and some veggies (they put the toppings on the side in a cast iron for you to do on your own). i will definitely be coming back to this place soon. support the local places in town here - they are all so sweet!! read more

That was okay because Sarah was behind the bar slinging drinks and she was really cool. We ordered the Meat Pie and it did not disappoint. Excellant crust with plenty of sausage and pepperoni. Wood Fired pies are so good! Strongly recommend you give this place a try if you are near Pine. You wont be sorry. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars was the wait. This was one of the best original pizzas we have had in a long time. Yah, Pizza factory makes a great pepperoni and cheese, but these folks take the prize for original and creative. The Pancho was so much better than I expected it to be. You could taste the rich roasted flavor of the pork. The roasted green chiles and cilantro serene pepper pesto was the bomb! I wish I could give zero stars!! Absolute worst place to get pizza!!! Get ready to wait over an hour for a burnt pizza. Dominos is even better than this place. They fired all of their good staff, and the bartender/"manager" Lindsay Love is always drinking on the job, you can smell it on her breath. And the GM is a host at best!
