Every time we head back home to Philly we always make a point of hitting Reading Terminal Market for lunch, and for our beverages of choice, we both enjoyed iced vanilla lattes from Old City Coffee! We've enjoyed various caffeinated beverages here before, this is just the first time Yelping them, and the coffee was just as delicious as we remembered it the first time! The service was relatively quick, despite Reading Terminal typically being pretty crowded, and the prices were on the higher end. But overall, there's plenty of options to choose from, and we very much enjoyed heading back home. See y'all next time!

They are a cute coffee shop at reading terminal. They are pretty quick with service and had the options I needed to stay keto. I got iced latte with half and half and sf syrup, and the latte was perfect .

Coffee shop inside reading terminal market. Employees are nice and fast. Ordered a latte and americano. The espresso is tasty, not biter, and strong. Enough to give you a bolt of energy. The prices are good too. Definitely recommend grabbing a quick coffee here.

At the front entrance of Philadelphia's legendary Reading Terminal Market, Old City Coffee has been a go-to spot for coffee since its inception in 1985. It does small-batch roasting right on-site. The shop prides itself on offering fresh, high-quality coffee made from beans sourced directly from sustainable farms. The location is unbeatable--right at the entrance of Reading Terminal--so quick to grab a cup before exploring the bustling stalls inside. Despite always having a line, the staff operates like a well-oiled machine. Grab a coffee and walk through the chaos.

Decent! They make home made syrups so thats what drew me in. The vanilla syrup was delicious really flavorful and not artificial tasting. The latte itself was good but could have been a bit stronger espresso. I agree with one of the other reviews stating the coffee is on a lighter side when it comes to flavor.

My first stop at the Reading Terminal - Old City Coffee. This is by far the best iced americano I've had in life. The smell of the espresso, that first sip - I was instantly blown away. It was bitter but just the right enough bitter for me and definitely the best pick me up before I hit the road.

Okay, lavender latte half oat half almond milk meh. Looking for that fine line between bitter and sweet. Can't smell nor taste the lavender.

Coffee stall is located in the Reading Market which always seems to have a steady stream if customers. Coffee is OK and on this visit I ordered an ice tea. Wish I could say this was amazing but really did not care for tea. Reading Market is close to my son's apartment so is convenient wish makes it a great place to go and get a cup of Joe.

This coffee stand is tucked inside a busy market, but the line wasn't long at all. Service was quick and efficient. Lately, I've been ordering a caramel latte with almond milk, half sweetened, and a sprinkle of cinnamon; and the one they made here was delicious.

Fast service, it's a quick grab and go. I got the chai tea and it tastes like fall - delicious!

There's two locations in Reading Market, we went to the smaller one. Both had decent lines. The iced vanilla latte was excellent. We also had an iced coffee with cream. No seating, but to be expected at the market.

We purchased hot chocolate and coffee here this past weekend on the way to the Christmas Village. The staff was very friendly and made our orders quickly! The mint hot chocolate was tasty and a good size for a small. The hot latte was great as well. Their prices were very reasonable and slightly cheaper than other coffee shops. We would come back again!

I came here 3 mornings in a row so you could say I'm a fan! I needed caffeine early in the neighborhood (especially at Reading Terminal Market!) and didn't want to support the Dunkin conglomerate. Old City Coffee did not disappoint! You order at a kiosk, but service is still friendly. The Chocolate croissant was thick and warm. I liked their gingerbread latte (it was September, but I'm a sucker for Fall specials.)

I don't think I've ever visited an an hour where I've seen it not. Often a line going from the counter, down the stairs, all the way to the bathroom. If you're looking for a quick coffee stop, don't expect to be in and out of here. That being said, they've got some kinds of seating not typical of coffee shops, including this nice long U-shaped couch seating. You'll be around with other folks reading or enjoying their joe, but it's a nice change of pace. Working-wise, wi-fi is solid. Outlets are sparse. Hard to stay a long time here. Music is at least at a tolerable level to tune out and is not usually too bumping. Staff here are quick, but won't be the friendliest. They won't be rude either. They're just trying to get through the line so don't take it personally Overall: would much prefer other places like Capital One Cafe for the reasons I visit cafes, but I can see this being a nice place for other more leisurely-natured visits!

It is a very small shop, so there are only a few tables inside, along with a few outside depending on the weather. Although small, the interior is clean and cozy. A single restroom is available. Parking is on the street. Mild noise level. They have a good amount of drink options, including rotating specials, as well as pastries, bread, and misc items like granola and coffee beans. The drinks are delicious - definitely recommend their matcha. The pastries are huge, flavorful, and filling. Slightly dry but I did go right before closing. They have a nice variety of flavors (both sweet and savory), so most palettes will be satisfied. Prices are definitely fair. If I weren't just a traveler passing through, this would easily become a regular spot for me. It's at least on the "must return to" list! 10/10 recommend.

We braved negative degree weather for the roughly 10 minute walk from our hotel. We walked in at a good time. This is the type of place where a reservation for breakfast would be required. We were sat immediately. The dining area is tight. A green velvet bench, marble tables, metal chairs, all packed into a small area. You could very well have your butt brush over the table of the patrons next to you if you have to get up for any reason. It's tight. Our server was around quickly. He was super friendly and kept things conversational, light and sophisticated. My wife ordered an iced latte, I had their hot drip coffee. For a starter, we had to try the cinnamon knot bread. While it wasn't what we were expecting, it was good. Although, we wouldn't order again. The bread is presented as a small loaf, room temperature with a cold cream cheese icing drizzled over top. The bread had a mild cinnamon flavor and was dry. It lacked the sweet, moist dough you expect from a cinnamon bread. My wife ordered the French style omelet. This had gruyere cheese and chives. Beautifully plated, perfectly cooked and the taste was spot on. It was good enough to forget that she paid $21 for just an omelet, no meat, no sides. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Pretty standard here. The eggs had bright orange yolks which is common for farm fresh eggs. The "coffee" hollandaise didn't come across with a coffee flavor but it was rich and went well with the ham and English muffins. One thing that stuck with me was their drip coffee. Not sure if it has been a while since I had a light roast but the Rival Bros. Revolver coffee was so good, I got a bag of whole beans to bring back home with me. I may even order it again online. Enswell succeeded on all fronts. The ambiance and service was great. The decor, impeccable. The food, thoughtful and tasty. The details from the silverware to the plates added to the experience. We would come back.

Didn't love the copper sharp cheese that was a bit messy and tangy. I kept thinking they must have added some type of sauce on it. I'd much rather come back for a simple fried egg combo and chedda cheese. I was also offered sparkling water, but I do wish it had more fizz. The service start to finish was superb in friendly and fast service. I'd come back for mimosa/bar for sure.
