This is a MUST ! The Gelato is AMAZING!!! you can get it in a cup or various sized cones. You also can stack your flavors. I had the Pistachio (the normal green pistachio) and Nutella. They are famous for their nutella. Together those flavors were out of this world! It is very tight and small inside and there are no tables to sit and enjoy. So make sure you can eat it on the go. The location is perfect! Just a short walk from St. Peter's Basilica

Perfect gelato spot near the Vatican. We saw the nuns in line and knew it was gonna be good. I tried the mango, lemon, melon, stracciatella and hazelnut flavors, and everything was incredible. Also super reasonably priced at €2,50 each! No seating - it's basically a window. Hope to go back someday!!

So So So good!! We walked 2 miles out of the way to come get a second round!! The favors are amazing. It's fresh, creamy, flavorful, and not too sweet. You get 3 flavors for the small, which is only 2 euro, and it's plenty enough! I absolutely love the pistachio and Nutella- it's truly incredible. The passion fruit, coconut, caramel, and ricotta flavors are also amazing! The cones are outstanding as well. If you want the gelato of your dreams, this is the spot!

My favorite Gelato in all of Italy Ok so when you go to Rome you have to eat the Gelato. And no I don't mean once I mean at least once a day. The gelato shops are everywhere and honestly I don't think we had a bad gelato out of any of them. But there are levels and Old Bridge is the Top Level the taste elevator goes to. Seriously amazing creamy, rich and fantastic flavor. When your in Rome and looking for Gelato this should be your 1st and last stop. We had a lot of gelatos but this is the only one we went to more than once and definitely the one we will hit when we return.

It was SO Yummy ! I'm trying out all Geletaria's around Rome during my stay ! While walking to Vatican City I came across this tiny place and decided to try it . Just 3 Euro's - comes with 3 assortment of flavors of choice !!! A very tasty treat !! Smooth , creamy and extremely delicious tasting Gelato!! Must try if you are visiting Rome. Highly recommend!

Ricotta/pistachio, amaretto/something else, and biscotti. Only 2 euro for all this gelato!

Super creamy gelato with a great assortment of flavors! Not only do they have your standard flavors like pistachio, cream, stracciatelle, but they also have some creative mixes and flavors, like hazelnut crunch and vanilla passion fruit, lime (yes that's one flavor). You also get to choose 3 flavors which is super unusual. The prices are excellent, the small, which is a good size (3 flavors!) is 2 euro. You can get whipped cream on top too. Beware, you will likely wait in line for this scrumptious treat, but it moves fairly quickly. When it's your turn, return the favor and know what you want ahead of time!

Best gelato in Rome, hands down. We had some nearly everyday! We went to the one near the Vatican. Our Roman Tour guide told us it was the best and he did NOT steer us wrong. The amoretto is to die for!

Excellent fruit flavors from mango to coconut. Banana was not my favorite due to the icy flavorless taste. The prices are average for gelato with a convenient spot near a bus stop.

    Yummy

I come here at least once every time I visit Rome, sometime multiple times on the same trip. My friend who lives there introduced me to this place. It's one of my top 3 in Rome. It's right by the Vatican so its popular with tourists but it is some of the best.

Very tasty, good gelato flavors - black cherry and chocolate combo was great. Enjoyed this gelateria on our trip to Rome in January.

Expecting it to be there one year, I walked over to Piazza Navona and Gelateria Navona had evidently closed. I would then get gelato here and there. I then learned that Giolitti is a long standing gelateria and it's also in the historic center. I filed the name away in my head. Then, one day, I happened to walk right in front of it without even looking for it, so I went in. Giolitti is popular and it can be crowded. I'm going to say that I waited about 10 to 15 minutes. You pay at a counter first, deciding on what you want and how much of it, such as scoops and whether it will be in a cup or a cone. Once up at the counter, they don't rush you, which surprised me. I don't take that much time since I don't experiment much, but I still appreciate the courtesy. The price is roughly what everyone else in the historic center is charging. I always opt for the gelato it in a cup so you can "control" the dripping. The gelato - a mix of dark chocolate and two citrus flavors - was "molto buono." That said, just because it's so popular, I'm not going to downgrade Giolitti for it and complain about the crowds. You downgrade gourmet donut places in the U.S. where their fame has gone to their heads. There is also a spacious salon with nicer decor in which you can eat inside. At this point, Giolitti is really the only gelateria in Rome whose name I remember. I would gladly go back and I recommend it.

Our guide said this is his favorite gelato spot, owing to the creativity of flavors and rotating menu offerings. We liked it so much we went back once on our own. They were busy both times, with a line out the door, but the people working were friendly and patient (which was especially noticeable on our first visit, when a group of 10 tourists wandered in after a few hours drinking, eating and drinking our way through the town.) The did have some interesting flavor combos lined up for us to try, but I went with the flavors I craved. Everything was tasty and creamy, and the serving sizes were generous. They offered whipped cream on top of each portion as well, which we passed on, the gelato was yummy and creamy enough without the added cream. The shop is tiny (explains the line) but clean, and they do a good job of labeling each of the vats of gelato they have on display. Definitely a winner, and seemed to be quite popular with locals.
