Best gelato place in Rome! They have an open window where you can see people making fresh baked goods. They even had the gelato machines running making fresh batches of gelato. They had a good and interesting selection of gelato (a lot were very much written in Italian which meant it was super authentic). I had a scoop of the Croccante Di Amarena. It was delicious. It contained black cherry jam and candied almonds. Highly recommend visiting this gelato shop when in Rome if you want an authentic experience. Also it is really close to Vatican City so you have no excuse to miss it!

Good service, variety of cookies, juices and coffee. Trendy decor, roomy cafeteria compare to the other in town. Free WiFi . Highly recommended

This place was classic Italian. There were so many good options. I loved the dark chocolate and biscotti flavors so much! I would recommend it to anyone. There were tourists and Italian locals in there, so it felt not too touristy.

Average Gelato, cafe and more place. Lots of flavors to choose from. We had dark chocolate Gelato & milk chocolate on a cone & a strawberry crepe. They even have a few pastries and pancakes. Sweet spot (no pun intended).

Great quality and super nice and helpful staff. Loved my stracciatella and would go back, bht this wasn't my personal fav gelateria (I went to many lol).

Delicious gelato! Out of the tourist area and very affordable. No more words necessary!

Know what you want and where to stand in line before you get here (hint: I still don't know) or the employees will be rude.

Not much to say other than, it's delicious, not gimmicky and close enough to all main attractions. I do love that they have the chocolate fountain and add to your cone with no up charge. Did I say it's affordable too? Small cone, 2 flavors for under 3 EU.

As far as gelato goes, Cremilla is as good as anything you'll find. The dark chocolate is decadent and adds a great richness to any cup or cone. The strachitella has a good ratio of vanilla to chocolate shavings. Prices are reasonable and servings are generous. The downside is the pastry options - especially the brownie. They're dry, flakey, and pretty bad. So stick to the gelato and avoid any baked goods. The inside is chic and inviting making it a great interior to escape the Roman heat in summer. Staff is nice and does speak English.

Probably the best gelato I've had in Rome! It's super soft and rich in flavor and for a good price too! Definitely recommend!

We absolutely loved the gelato here. Our favorite we had while in Rome and visited several times during our 3 days in the city.

A quaint tiny gelato joint just outside the Vatican hoard…read more It's small enough for roughly 3 folks at once, has many different options to choose from, the service is prompt, kind, mindful, and it's relatively cheap. My "medium" sized cone was a tad larger than a small but not American sized which I appreciated, it was just enough to fill a moderately hungry stomach, and gave me a taste of the gelato I'd been missing. Lovely little spot, stop in!

As we were walking down some random Rome street, we decided to get a quick sweet treat from…read moreGelateria Del Monte. We saw a gentleman sitting outside, enjoying a gelato and it peaked our interest. The young lady working the establishment was not very friendly, but we weren't there to make friends. However, great customer service really does go a long way, especially when you're a tourist away from the comfort of home. I ordered a cone of the pistachio gelato and my best friend ordered a cone of the banana gelato. Gelato is not as sweet as ice cream so don't expect to be overwhelmed by this dessert. The pistachio gave a hint of the taste of pistachio, but could've used a little more pistachio nuts to really bring this scoop to life. I tried the banana and it was overwhelming with banana flavor... Real bananas by the way. You really have to be a banana lover to partake in this cone. I have had better gelato in the states, but wanted to try this regionally specific treat.
