We are down visiting family and stopped by because we do not have any Island food at home in Northern Virginia and the kids needed to try something new after recently moving to the area. What we had. Medium oxtail, so tender and full of flavor. The sides were cabbage and mac and cheese both were great Curried goat....oh my! How tender can meat get? Again wonderful flavors all the way around, same cabbage and mac and cheese sides. Both of which were wonderful. Jerk chicken, is probably the meal with the most flavor, a little heat on the back end but 100% delicious. Cabbage and plantains for the side. Curry chicken, very tender wonderful flavors sides included plantains rice and red beans that were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. It was a great experience and someplace I would highly recommend trying. I did get a beef meat pie for breakfast the next day. I rarely give 5* and would have if they served their in something biodegradable or recyclable. I don't like styrofoam. I am even willing to pay .50 cents more per meal for a better container. Continue to support this business so they can continue to grow and get that 5th star.

I love the pot stickers! The only app I probably won't get again are the summer rolls. These were like a salad wrapped in rice paper. So much lettuce in every bite. Hardly any noodles. The Laab is some of the best I have ever had. I devoured it. I can't remember any entrees I've had. Next time I will probably get the Num Tok and a shrimp salad. Plus a bunch of apps and the Laab!

Sold once again in August and kept the name Saffron. The restaurant was empty except for one guest. It's in a large shopping center next to i95 on Gateway Blvd. Menu has changed to include more Indian cuisine dishes. However, due to the lack of customers, some items from the menu are not available, as explained by our waiter. The food is excellent. Well prepared and seasoned. We ordered two Chicken Tikka, vegetables samosas and garlic Naan. The beer Taj was cold and good. The samosas were delicious served with tamarind and mint sauces. They came in plastic containers. The Chicken Tikka came sizzling, large chunks of chicken breast, perfectly seasoned and juicy. This is what they need to improved and do better. Items should be available if it's listed on the menu, the sauces should have been served in ceramic or containers other than plastic take out. Basmati Rice is a staple in all Indian restaurants and served with the dishes. We had to ask for it, and only one small bowl was offered. Other than that the food is good. The service is fine too. Roan was our waiter and was attentive.

I love Mediterranean food, no matter where from, and know that every type is just a little different. We started with a shepherd's salad and server, without asking, had it split in the kitchen. So nice and thoughtful. The salad had great flavor and my husband and I loved it. We would have both preferred slab feta or even crumbled feta instead of shredded feta. Personal preference but we still loved it and we could taste the feta, so it wasn't a deal breaker. My husband has the lamb. He loved it. It wasn't a plate full of rice, which he also appreciated. The pricing was reasonable and the lamb was cooked perfect. I had the Falafal sandwich. I would have preferred tahini vs tzatziki but it was tasty. The Falafal was a little mushy for my palate but still good. They came with steak fries - my favorite kind of fry! We ended with the baklava. Every baklava we have ever had is different and we LOVED it. I was so full and was only going to have 1 bite, but that wasn't my story. Our server was amazing. She was friendly and helpful. She asked where we were from and recommended a few restaurants in South Florida for us to try. The restaurant can be fancy or casual - your choice. They made us feel welcomed and we enjoyed our meals. We would definitely go back next visit to Savannah - and there will be many more trips if our daughter ends up going to SCAD.

Service: We came on a weekday night so it wasn't super busy. There was only one waitress working and she did a good job servicing all the tables. She was very nice and attentive. Food: We really loved our food. It had great flavor and was nicely presented. The portions were a good size for the price. The Chicken Satay appetizer was very good. I loved the combination of the peanut sauce and fresh vegetables with it. I had their 'Pan Woonsen with Fried Tofu' and it was very good.
