Opening weekend in their restaurant! Staff is very attentive and did a good job. Got the chicken karaage and the flavor was so yummy! I wish I took a photo of that. I added corn to my miso ramen. The ramen noodles were good, the pork belly was amazing! The broth was a tiny bit too salty for me but definitely not turning away from this place. So delicious!

Mom said it was a soup kind of day so we went to a ramen place that we wanted to try and I'm glad we did. Broth was perfect pork belly basically melted in my mouth. They have a nice mocktail menu, extremely chill environment it's going on our normal restaurant rotation

So we had to wait a bit while they fixed a mess up in the kitchen on a previous order. But when the food came it was good. I got pork belly and curry. The decode is a bit weird. Repurposed fence scraps made into wall decorations. It gave us something to talk about while we waited.

FOOD WAS AMAZING!!! Everyone was so welcoming and it was such a pleasant experience. Beautiful layout at this location, outdoor and indoor space gives a welcoming atmosphere. The interior is also well designed, giving fancy.

I ate here at Oakshire. Ordering was easy (I ordered from my table) and my food came out fairly quickly and was fresh and warm. I got the miso ramen and an order of gyoza. Both were tasty. The ramen was solid--not the best I've ever had, but fresh and flavorful and the noodles were really good. I liked the soft boiled egg. The gyoza were also tasty. This was a great meal on a rainy and cold day.

Ate again here while at Oakshire and tried the miso ramen this time. Pretty good flavor, a bit too heavy on the green onion for me. Honestly, enjoyed the chicken katsu bowl more!

Super clean and cute stationary food truck.

UPDATED POST: I'm sad to say that this guy pulled up stakes in the middle of the night and left the property owner high-n-dry. Not a business I can support. Bummer. ORIGINAL POST: I'm going to have to edit this post later because we're planning to go back for dinner tonight. So I decided to try the chicken Katsu for lunch. I'll tell you more about the Ramen tomorrow But if the tantalizing aroma that was coming from this food truck when I walked up is any indication of their beautifully crafted Ramen broth I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be looking for a sixth star to add to this. The Katsu is insanely crispy, not at all a hint of greasiness, super fresh with the option to have brown or white rice, an egg, green onions to make it a bowl or just by itself. They also have karage chicken and agadasji tofu so if Ramen isn't your jam you have lots of options They have four types of Ramen, miso, shoyu, spicy and a vegetable vegetarian. With plenty of things you can add to it like corn, or extra egg. There's a beautifully shaded seating area with a big picnic table if you want to stay and eat

The best thing (in my opinion) is the Chicken Katsu. It is just amazing and you can never go wrong with it.

Ramen broth oddly bitter, pork unflavored, noodles sub-par. Service good but ramen very unappetizing and not worth price :(

Stopped by on a Wednesday evening after a full day of work. Had a few more things to do but wanted…read morea quick bite and a good drink. Ordered the Ikura onigiri and the Japanese Sweet Potato and the Agadashi Tofu. (I asked for miso butter on the side for me because I have found it overwhelms the potato which is seasoned really wonderfully). The Ikura Onirigi was simple and excellent. My favorite wishes that they would create an regular Onirigi Happy Hour where they are on discount so that those of us who just want to have half a dozen of those and a few drinks can come in and experience our heart's delight. My drink of choice here is the Painkiller -- which is really well balanced and so delicious it's hard not to have a second. Wednesdays are when they have two dollars off the ginger-based drinks and I didn't try it this time but I am keen to the next time because they appear to crush the ginger in house and make their own ginger concoction magic. The bar was thankfully not crowded. As an introvert it was nice to be finishing up and heading out just as more people were coming in.

There are no reservations at this restaurant, so it's first come first serve. Street parking was…read moreeasy to find, and we arrived around 7. The place was packed, but thankfully we were seated quite quickly with a 5-10 minute wait. The interior is cozy and welcoming. It's dimly lit with mood lighting on the tables. It felt lively since the tables were packed. We started by ordering the sake and shoyu flights and some fries with wasabi mayo while we explored the rest of their menu. We received the flights quickly. Both flights had 3 flavors and were tasty and fun to try. Each flight comes with a menu describing the flavor profile and how the drinks were made. The flavors of each flight were distinct and matched their descriptions. The fries with wasabi mayo were pretty basic fries. They were well seasoned, had a nice crunch, and the mayo had a subtle wasabi flavor without it being spicy. For our next round we ordered the salmon misoyaki, butternut squash, tofu kushiyaki, and steak kushiyaki. Unfortunately, our server forgot to bring our butternut squash, but we ended up being full with the rest of the food we ordered and just took it off our order. The salmon misoyaki was delicious - perfectly cooked, tender, and well seasoned. The mustard greens on the side added a nice sourness. The tofu kushiyaki was tender and flavorful. The steak kushiyaki was well-seasoned, but more well done than I preferred and a little tough. Next, we ordered the spinach goma ae and umeboshi unigiri. The spinach goma ae was such a pleasant surprise! It's a chilled spinach dish with a tamari/black sesame sauce that was refreshing mid-meal. Really good umami flavor! The umeboshi onigiri had the expected sharp salty/sour flavor that balanced well with the ratio of rice. Ended up dipping the umeboshi onigiri in the goma ae sauce to get every last drop. For dessert we ordered the basque cheesecake and créme brûlée. The cheesecake was just okay. The menu said there was sake and black sesame flavors, but apart from some black sesame dust on the plate we couldn't taste the sake/sesame. The texture was thick and not super smooth. It was a pretty heavy dessert and not very sweet. The créme brûlée was yummy. The custard was smooth and the crunchy caramelized sugar on top was a nice contrast in texture and flavor. The service itself was slow. We were waiting around 15 minutes between orders. Given, it was a busy night. However, we felt a bit forgotten as our server did forget to bring one of our dishes, we had to ask for our dessert menus twice, and we were accidentally served two basque cheesecakes instead of our order of cheesecake and créme brûlée. The staff were friendly, and quickly brought out the correct desserts at the end. I'd recommend ordering more dishes at once so you can enjoy more food in between orders. Would definitely come back again to try the rest of their menu. We wanted to try the Japanese sweet potato but they had sold out that night. The oysters, sashimi, and udon also looked quite good!

Definitely better than expected, we walked in and it didn't seem like any tables were available, but there was seating near the back. Service was quick, after placing our order, the food was brought pretty fast. We ordered sushi, katsu curry, poke bowl & gyudon. Everything was delicious, I enjoyed the flavor of my gyudon and the katsu curry was tasty too. My only complaint was the poke bowl--it seemed deceptively big, but the bowl was mostly filler, with rice and greens and some tuna poke on top. Nonetheless our meal was filling, but I'm not sure if I would order the poke bowl again. Overall, our dining experience was good--I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Definitely order the grilled shishito peppers. They were excellent as was the takoyaki! The chicken karaage was also very tasty. I loved their take on a jalapeño popper. They call it the jalapeño bomb and it has spicy tuna in it. I'd definitely recommend and it's great for sharing. We also ordered various sashimi and rolls and all were excellent! The Angry Mom was particularly good we thought! I highly recommend this place. Please go here if you haven't been!
