Sunday Brunch

Wow what a beautiful resort with exceptional service. We had a wonderful time staying Valentine's weekend. The place was huge and there's so much to do. They have golf, tennis, yoga, spa, great restaurants, a gym, pools, jacuzzi & lots of activities. You can easily stay at the resort the whole time but there's also things to do outside the resort. Nearby there's museums, balsamic vinegar & olive oil tasting, honey tasting, restaurants & shops. They have shuttles that constantly run to take you around the resort since it's so big. House keeping checked in on us 3x a day. And they helped bring our bags into our room while we were at the spa. And they helped pick up our luggages & put them in our car the day we checked out. If you have Amex, they have early check-in, late check-out, $100 credit & daily $35 breakfast credit per person. This resort is kid friendly and dog friendly. It's pricey but luxurious, beautiful & relaxing.

Beekeeping amazing & fun experience! Birthday girl had a blast!

My sisters, niece, & I recently stayed at the gorgeous Ojai Valley Inn and we had the best time. Chelsey & Khloe were amazing and fun with the Beekeeping activity & honey tasting! Javi greeted us with a huge smile and drove us to the restaurant via a golf cart ( the property is huge & beautiful). We also, want to thank Marissa for the wonderful hospitality, excellent customer service, & for making our sister Birthday so memorable and special! We will definitely recommend Ojai Valley Inn to our family, Friend's, & colleagues. Thank you, Rosie

Private firepit patio for our room!

It's a BEAUTIFUL hotel with golf, tennis and swimming, so five stars for the location, but ultimately really wanted a peaceful night's rest and a hot shower and got neither. Our room was right below a noisy family with little kids, so lots of running, jumping, and crying from upstairs. Not the best atmosphere for a romantic anniversary get-away. The shower was also disappointing as the water was lukewarm at best. I DID speak to the manager who was nice enough to take a few bucks off the bill due to the noise, but that's not the point. I can't get my anniversary back. I shouldn't be at a high end resort yet anxious to return home to the peace and quiet of downtown L.A. where the sirens and yelling from the street let me sleep better than I did at the Ojai Valley Inn.

My wife and I spent a magical few days at Ojai Valley Inn to celebrate her birthday, and it exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we arrived Sunday afternoon until we departed late Tuesday, everything--from the personalized service to the luxurious amenities--was perfect. We stayed in the Spa Penthouse Suite, and it was truly something special. The suite featured soaring ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and an expansive layout that made it feel like our own private retreat. We had sweeping views of the resort and one of the serene spa pools, and the atmosphere was quiet, peaceful, and exactly what we needed to unwind. Every detail--from the plush bedding to the curated in-room amenities--reflected the Inn's commitment to luxury and comfort. On Sunday, we kicked off the celebration with The Oak's Bluegrass Brunch. This is not your typical brunch--live bluegrass music, fresh California-inspired cuisine, and the most relaxing setting under the oak trees. It was a beautiful and vibrant way to start the trip. That evening, we celebrated my wife's birthday at Olivella, the Inn's signature fine dining restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make the night special. The service was impeccable, warm, and personalized, and the food was truly world-class--thoughtfully plated and bursting with flavor. They even added thoughtful birthday touches that made the evening unforgettable for my wife. It was elegant, romantic, and a memory we'll both cherish for years to come. On Monday night, we returned to The Oak and shared their massive 40oz Tomahawk Ribeye--hands down one of the best steaks we've had. It came with incredible sides like roasted mushrooms, potatoes, and grilled asparagus. Every bite was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. We also indulged in room service, which was consistently fast, courteous, and delicious--ideal for enjoying a quiet breakfast or snack in our suite. During the day, we explored some of the many activities the resort has to offer. We booked horseback riding through the concierge at Oso Ranch, just a short drive from the property. It was a peaceful ride through beautiful terrain and added a fun, adventurous touch to the trip. We also enjoyed time at the Ojai Spa, where we both had incredible massages in a calm, nurturing setting. The spa grounds themselves were just as impressive--tranquil, beautifully designed, and ideal for relaxing. The adult pool was a favorite spot for us to unwind, and the poolside service was prompt and friendly. Fitness is important to both of us, so it was great to have access to their 24-hour gym, which was fully equipped and spotless. We even spent some time at the driving range and admired the 18-hole championship golf course--lush, scenic, and incredibly well-kept. It's easy to see why it's one of the top courses in California. Every single staff member we encountered--from the concierge to housekeeping to the valet team--was kind, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. The valets were especially attentive and even took the initiative to charge our EV while we were out enjoying the property. There's something truly special about Ojai Valley Inn--an effortless blend of luxury, relaxation, natural beauty, and elevated service. Whether you're there for a romantic escape, a celebration, or a rejuvenating wellness retreat, they have everything you need for an unforgettable experience. This was the perfect birthday getaway, and we're already looking forward to our next visit.

The property is amazing. If you haven't been before, it's a must whenever you're in Ojai. Even for a drink or a meal. The beautiful drive to the front of the property, and then greeted by the valet. Or if you choose to self park. Everything about this property is amazing. There's loads of spots that you can lounge and just enjoy the moment. Seating throughout the property, along the course, near a fire pit and so on. Drinks and food is great wherever you choose to grab a bite. And not the miss the sunset, pink hour I believe they call it. Grab a drink and just enjoy the sunset. And they're pet friendly, which is a plus.

Absolutely love Ojai Valley Inn and visit every year. Gorgeous setting with spacious tasteful rooms plus staff who take good care of everything you need. Lovely, peaceful, private and gorgeous. Great Olivella restaurant with delicious food. Nothing for them to improve upon, although it is pricey, it's worth it. Enjoy!

I booked a room in October of 2025 for a wedding in May 2026 (May 21-May 23). I just received an email this morning letting me know I did not have a room due to construction going on in my particular room which began in January and will not be complete by the time I check in. Not only did Julia not give me any suggestions of where to go, she actually had a room available at a higher cost which she a) did not offer to me for the inconvenience b) did not offer it to me at a discount. Before she emailed me this should have taken care of. Julia's bad planning basically caused me to have to spend a lot more money or cancel the much anticipated wedding of a very close friend. Julia kept silent after apologizing (not profusely btw) for the "inconvenience" she caused. I should have not even heard from her until check in with a "i'm sorry but your original room is under construction so we gave you this better room" I gave the name of this hotel to 2 other people and booked so so far in advance. She did refund my money but it is Memorial day weekend and prices have skyrocketed and nothing is available. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be treated fairly. She had the nerve to tell me the room that was available was a lot more money with no discount nothing. This woman has ZERO business acumen and I can not say enough bad things about her in this one post. It was such an "Oh Well" attitude ...She had so many options to give a) offer me the room b) offer me the room at a discounted rate c) find me a room during the most crowded weekend and offer to pay the difference d) offer me a coupon to come back with a free night ........awful awful awful .....I hope the other people in the party cancel and find something else but they are probably stuck here because nothing is available.

It is very clean and the renovations were clearly very intentional with design in mind. It is an incredibly cohesive property. The rooms themselves are comfortable and I loved that the temperature was very adjustable. The bathroom was a bit bizarre. I will never understand the appeal to the shower design. It's the kind of shower that is only separated from the rest of the bathroom by half of a glass wall. Which just means, no matter how careful you are, the entire bathroom will be soaked. In terms of property amenities, the ample free parking was a huge plus. And the complementary bikes seemed great, thought we didn't get a chance to take advantage of them. There is a nice large field in the back which would be a great place to stargaze at night. We did check out the hot tub on the last morning, and I was very disappointed that it was hardly warm. The rooms come with a unique selection of snacks for purchase, but I was shocked to see they were charging $4 for the packet of instant coffee next to the kettle. I'm glad I noticed they were charging for that, because I would've assumed it was free. No chance that's worth it. There was decent coffee available in the lobby for free. When looking at a map, it showed it was only a 10-15 minute walk into the main stretch of town, so we planned to walk daily. Unfortunately, there is just enough distance on the road between the hotel and the downtown where there is no sidewalk, to a point where we felt it would be unsafe to walk at night. So we had to drive 2 minutes down the road instead. If they were able to create a path with a street lamp or two, that would make a huge difference! The staff was incredibly nice and I was glad they were able to help out with anything we needed! I did find it a bit odd that the hotel is only staffed 8AM-10PM. It's not small enough to justify such limited staff hours in my opinion, and I had never encountered that before.

To begin this place is very charming my husband arrived first then I came shortly after. The first evening I noticed I woke up with itching but didn't think much of it. After the next morning we woke up to major yard work cutting of the palm trees and a whole lot of noise without notice just a knock on the door that if our car was parked near by we need to move it. The final day I woke up to being bit by a bed bug I jumped out of bed and noticed I had one crawling on my night gown and panicked I went thru all of our luggage and woke him up to get up and on the bed we seen another 2 crawling on the bed. I was dumbfounded trying to figure out what it was since the office doesn't open until I don't know because I had to leave for work at 7am and Noone was there so I let my husband take care of the situation. By this time we still didn't know what those were. Once my husband decided to check out he said he went to the office and spoke to an office manager/owner and he showed her the bugs and her response was she had no idea what they were with surprise on her face so my husband being as kind as he is believed it. Now we come here and see this is not the first time this cause for concern of bed bugs is brought to their attention and it's clear there isn't anything being done about it. It hardens my heart to leave a review in this manner as we really loved this place but to find out this is an issue never addressed is cause for concern their return policy didn't take care of all the belongings we had to throw away because we are not sure we didn't bring any home with us. !!!PLEASE TAKE CARE OF THIS YOU HAVE SUCH A BEAUTIFUL PLACE THERE IT WOULD BE A SHAME IT'S NEGLIGENCE WILL CAUSE FOR IT TO CLOSE DOWN. The room was initially filled with a harsh bleach smell that made us feel sick while trying to sleep. Although staff said the bed was "new" it was stiff and uncomfortable. A loud refrigerator was right next to the bed, which would have kept us awake even without the light and strong chemical odor. In the middle of the night, I got up and stepped barefoot in a cold puddle. The refrigerator had leaked water onto the floor. We had to turn on the lights and mop it up with towels. Apart from offering an equally bad room the next day (after the smell had started to wane), removing the refrigerator and replacing our towels, there was essentially no effort to make this right. Staff explained door keys often fail if they're placed near a cell phone -- as though that is normal! I know things can go wrong (Murphy's law), but it's the attitude of indifference that really sets this property apart. We didn't get the restful stay we paid for and expected. Worse, this trip was for my wife's birthday. (My fault for not reading the reviews.) Nonetheless, there appeared to be little concern for our experience or even the business' poor reputation. We ended up leaving a day early -- despite the no refund policy -- just to get away. A few photos of the "clean and well-appointed room" are attached.

I booked a month ahead, and I want to stress that this was with the front desk, not with an outside travel agency. Confirmation of the price was sent to me via email. In April, I checked in and paid at the price they gave me and confirmed in writing. When I got home from my trip, there was an extra $50 dollars charged to my card. When I inquired as to the added charge, they simply said that I was undercharged for the room, that they had mistakenly given me the wrong price. However, I stressed that the price I paid was the price that they had agreed to. Also, they never mentioned anything about undercharging me when I paid for the room; it was only after I returned home that they took the liberty of charging me extra. This didn't matter to manager Jennifer. This is very unprofessional, and simply put, just a stupid and unethical thing to do from a business point of view. It appears that they have financial problems: the sink in my room was plugged and the mattress is old; also oddly, there is no one on the premises until 3pm and no one there in the early morning, so does that mean that they have no night clerk? They cut corners and overcharge customers that are not regulars. This is low-class, third world treatment in an upscale town. In my opinion, new management is in order if they want to stay in business. There are plenty of other hotels and B&Bs in town that don't feel free to mess with your credit card when you're not looking.
