Why would one take the time to review a gas station on Yelp? Well, when the gas station is as…read moreawesome as this, one would have to! It's actually California law that gas stations are required to provide free gas and water when you buy gasoline. On the rare occasions I've tried to ask for either in the LA area, the gas station attendant acts like I might as well be asking for the earth and the moon. Then midway through they'll shut it off, so I'll have to go back, they'll begrudgingly turn it on again, and I'll have to go back to my car and so on and so forth... With the employees here, it's completely the opposite! Because I wanted to use Apple Pay inside they let me fill up my tank first and then allowed me to pay for it later. Imagine doing that in LA! When I asked about air, one of the mechanics actually checked each of my tires for me and even went underneath the car to grab a valve-cap that I had dropped. And they waved us goodbye and thanked us for coming! No, thank YOU!! This station deserves ALL the Mobil awards! PS. The gas was cheaper than the other stations in the area!

I found out where customer service went to die. So the premise is that someone walks up to you and…read moregives you a QR code to scan so you can check yourself in. Cuz, heaven forbid the staff would have to actually do the task. While I am not yet victimized by the digital divide, I really didn't want to spend my time figuring out their POS system. Each service is nickel and dime. At my last oil change, ( different location) I was able to order a 'high mileage vehicle synthetic oil". Here, nah but you can buy a synthetic oil and add on a high mileage pour-over for a fee. In the olden days, they would show you the parts they recommend to be replaced and offer the chance to repair. Now this location states there is a problem on the invoice but by the time you see it, your car is already pulled out of the bay. Once upon a time, all windows would be cleaned and the floor mats vacuumed. Here, they proudly tell you the front window was washed and offer you a moist towelette to do your own dashboard. Whee; such a treat. I know everywhere is doing less and charging more, but I will remember what good service was like until my dying day. (Hint: it's not at this location.) Long story longer: I will not be back.

Jiffy Lube in Paso Robles is my "go to" if I need an Oil Change. Curb appeal is better than normal…read more This particular location is not on a main thoroughfare...it has greenery surrounding it. Two outside sitting areas and the normal waiting room inside. The customer service here has always been very good. Today was no different. An associate named Andrew was top notch...from receiving (writing up service needed/requested) vehicles as they came in, to working hard in the "garage". Then of course was the Manager (Jose) who has helped me several times in previous visits and is also extremely Customer Service centric . Normally, when I need an Oil Change , the Crew at this location get me "in, done and out" within an hour...which really isn't bad. At the register, they "run down" the services and "checks of the vehicle" that were provided before they present you with the bill...which also seems pretty reasonable. Personally, getting an Oil Changed done is about as thrilling as going to the dentist, but the Jiffy Lube in Paso Robles makes the experience more than tolerable. In this Yelper's opinion, and on this occasion (as many times before) the Jiffy Lube in Paso Robles truly earned this "highly recommend" 5 Star review! Thank-you Jose and Andrew!

Trish at Walmart Auto Care is a rockstar. She has the knowledge and took great care of us when we arrived - as did the tire cats. They were friendly, took time to explain things (the AAA dude stripped my lug nuts when putting on my donut - that was fun) and made sure we were GOOD before sending us back on the road. Their prices are noticeably lower than the other tire chains. If that matters, then you should bring your car here for tires and save a few bucks. Most of all, though, you'll be TAKEN CARE OF. And that's what it's really all about. Comfortable little waiting room was available and, of course, about ninety zillion items in the main store. If that ain't enough to kill time...you got too much time on your hands.

My $52.88 oil change became $65 real quick because they didn't have my filter in the service area so they had to get one off the floor. They are required to call and get a verbal consent, but that didn't happen. Even if they had called, the answer is No. The price I agreed to pay included a filter. You not having one in the service area has nothing to do with me. And the cashier that decided that it was ok to give me attitude because I didn't want to just pay it because that's how they do it was ridiculous. The auto manager ended up cancelling the original invoice and rang up a new one for the correct price. But that only happened because I held my ground. Wonder how many times this has happened. Is it really Walmart policy? If it is, someone should reconsider it.
