I went to the Clovis, CA location today and had a bad experience. I just wanted to be in and out and they usually do a phenomenal job. In 2008, I got defrauded by a guy named Alfredo claiming to be a mechanic. Oh your alternator is out, i need $900, your radiator is out, I need 400...to the point where he defrauded me out of $3000 so I only go to certified mechanics now. However, I am still apprehensive with my trust in car places and my experience here today triggered me. I gave my card and the guy charged me $94.02. He was still in the middle of my oil change and was going back and forth and said, oh, I am going to charge your card while I am doing the oil change. I thought he was doing too many things at a time and decided to look up my Wells Fargo app and the transaction of $94.02 went through  Then, he told me my coolant was low and said it was only $4 extra. I said sure why not, let's top it off. It's only $4. I thought he was taking awhile to run my card, but saw that the 94.02 was charged to my account. I even showed the store manager my account with the 94.02. They pull me forward and have me wait 15 minutes while they figured things out. I thought they were going to charge my card an just the $4, I did not agree to a whole second transaction of 98.38 but they charged an extra $98.38 on top of the 94.02. I even showed the store manager my bank account  with these two transactions. I told the store manager they double charged me and he basically told me he spoke to hr and hr told him to charge my card again and void the other transaction, but that it won't get voided until Monday, but they were able to take almost $200 from me right away, but can't give back my $100 right away. I was also frustrated because I saw other customers pay with no problem and leave. I had bills to pay and things to do today and this was very taxing. I'll be fine until Monday, but if I was someone who all they had was the $192.40, I would feel totally taken advantage of and helpless.  Just an FYI, I think I know what happened. Oil Changers usually doesn't charge until all services are performed. The mechanic completed the transaction for 94.02 in the middle of my oil change. After he completed the oil change and transaction, he upsold me the coolant and added the 94.02 and $4 to get the $98.38 total. Next time, I just will just wait until service is done to approve transactions and say no to any upsells. Then, they reply to my Instagram comment, they're happy my refund is processing? I'm not happy that my refund is not coming until Monday. The store manager said it was a glitch, but I was referred to them by my friend's husband. He informed me that they don't charge him until his entire service is completed. I don't think it was a glitch. The mechanic was in the middle of my oil change, told me he was putting the transaction through, charged me. Then, when everything was completed, he upsold me the coolant and instead of charging me the $4 for the coolant, he did another $94 service charge and added the $4. I calculate and budget what I'm going to spend every month. I had the grizzlies baseball game today and knew I was going to need money for the food. My car note was due today, this paycheck is for my car insurance and my life insurance. I have my grandmother's birthday tomorrow, we're going to get dim sum and I was going to get her cash for her birthday and I'm buying stuff on Amazon for my sister's gender reveal and just ordered sugar cookies for her gender reveal. The fact that they had a *glitch* in their system or the fact that store manager and mechanic and hr authorized a charge that I didn't approve completely inconvenienced me and doesn't sit well with me on how they conduct business. Update: My money was refunded. read more

Had my oil changed here twice, both times went well and everyone was nice, later on after the second time going here my engine started knocking with 86k miles, took it to ford and the connecting rod bearings are bad, the engine oil was overfilled by two quarts, honestly oil changers should be paying for a new engine, if you don't know overfilling the engine oil causes the crank to hit the oil over and over in the pan causing it to foam and airate making it into a milkshake that can't get to certain areas of the engine. read more

Live 2 blocks from here and after reading the reviews I decided to drive over there. INCREDIBLE SERVICE! I was in and out in 25 minutes on a Saturday morning. They pulled my cabin filter and engine air filter and they were both FILTHY so I agreed to have them changed. No pressure whatsoever for other services but they do offer them. They show you everything they're doing for verbal confirmation (new filters and dipstick after oil change) and even do a brakelight/headlight/blinker check before you leave. I've found my new quick service place and I'll definitely be back. Whoever runs the place you should be proud of the team you have there. Professionalism at its best and no over the top up selling. Since moving to the Valley, I've been using only Oil Changers for my oil changes. Oil Changers is off of Clovis Avenue - you pull in, head to the back, and wait in line (if there is one) - if there's a line, no worries, it moves fast - promise! Oil Changers is a bit on the expensive side, however, the service definitely makes up for it. You pull up, and stay in your car the whole time, while people work on your car. On top of the oil change, they check your tire pressure, clean your windshield, check your carbon air filters, your lights, etc - they do a very thorough inspection! I've had numerous of service, oil changes done and I just had a transmission flush done as well. Came for a fuel filter change, came home with a leak, went back they replaced filter. Still leaked. Went back a third time they said a bolt was loose and tightened. Still leaked. Had ford fix it for $1100 dollars and filed a claim with oil changers at their suggestion! They denied claim. Don't trust this place. They definitely are shady. We'll this is going to NOT be a good review....went in to the Oil Changers on Clovis Ave (next to Beacon Gas) and was in the far lane with three cars in front of me. The inside lane was same condition. When one car came out of that inside lane I motioned to move over. This was in the first 10 minuets...fine....now suddenly is 50 minutes later...and no movement in front of me...the other lane the two cars that were there previously in front of me are long gone...another BIG truck come up behind those cars...these dirty sons of guns serviced that truck...then TWO more care that came in about an hour and a half after me....and they were starting to service a FORTH when my little Yaris finally was pulled in. IM HOT!!!!!!!!!! That is the last time I will EVER go into oil changers and I recommend that no one else do business there EVER again!!!!! read more

The cost is great but unfortunately cheap cost is equal to cheap labor here. Have been here many times the first 3 times were fine then I took it in a fourth time they put the wrong oil! I didn't don't put until I took it a fifth time that it was wrong! On top of that the cross threaded my oil plug into the pan resulting in a leak, that cost hundreds of dollars to fix since it's a German car!! read more

I went in July to change my transmission oil and when they finished they never mentioned to me that you needed to come back a week later so they can "top you off" AGAIN! Well here we are October and my transmission blew out because I legit didn't have any transmission fluid in my car.... my husband then added some in it so when I took it back to tell them they said there was no leaks and I should have a mechanic look at my car... they knew my transmission was done for but they won't take responsibility... here I am wirh out a car having ti pay out of pocket for a NEW transmission... my car is a 2012 I know its not old enough to blow the transmission.... still waiting on corporate to call me back.... but I definitely do not recommend them I will never take my car there... read more

This is two times in a row going here and having issues. This time it seemed so rushed I asked for them to make sure they check all my fluids since I had zero windshield washer fluid. They were done within 10 minutes. I didn't see them check any of the fluids and they didn't even give me a sticker for the new service. When I got home and checked they didn't put any fluid and now I'm concerned about the oil. The time prior the did the fuel system and my truck was running rough. After dealing with this for a week and them saying it's normal I went back to find that they didn't put some hoses back on correctly. I would just be aware of the service here. read more

Clovis Location I always take my autos to this location for our oil changes. I always receive great customer service. I appreciate that I can remain seated within my vehicle while they perform needed services. I appreciate that the employees here go above and beyond to be of assistance. For example: my tire pressure light would not go off. After a week of driving around, I returned to Oil Changers and requested my tires to be rechecked. The employees lowered my spare tire from under my truck (which to everyones surprise, had a sensor) and filled it. My tire pressure light turned off. Not many places nor employees would take the extra time to do this. I appreciate the consistant smiles and helpfulness I get every time I take one of our vehicles in for service. After trying many shops to get oil changed at I've finally found THE ONE!! I've found it very difficult to find an honest, reasonably priced oil change here in fresno/Clovis. After being recommended this place by 2 different people I finally gave um a shot. The service was phenomenal and everyone was SO nice!
