So after trying a couple of things myself to get the heat and circ pump Going i had to call some experts. When I called to make an appt spoke to Mick who was nice and asked me to try some things first to see if I could get it running, which I thought was really nice to try and save A service call. I had already tried some so he came out to test. After checking all the voltages on circuit board he found that part of the board was bad. So he wired the circ pump in to be on all the time and the heater started working immediately. However a few hours later when spa reached set temp it gave me a flo error because circ pump was still running. So called back and he said he thought he could trick system into letting that pump run but instead it goes into safe mode thinking something is wrong. So I set up an appt after speaking with him he had a circuit board that will work with spa and installed and it has work great since. And I thought their service call fee was reasonable. Good company.

Mick quickly found the problem, fixed it, thawed out my frozen outside water faucet with a hair dryer! and refilled the tub, all within an hour! I highly recommend Northcoast Spa & Tub. This is the first time I've ever used them, and three other places I called would not help me because they did not sell me my tub. The charge was also extremely reasonable!

I researched Hot tubs for several months. I finally narrowed it down to a plug n play from-then…read morewent to a big box store-There are two of them in N East Ohio, you know who they are. Neither big box retailer could tell me much about their tubs except for price and obvious things such as 1yr warranty but they didn't know how that worked or the fine print details, or anything about their service after install etc. Notable was that they did disclose that they "neatly leave the packaging / trash for the consumer to discard"- What?! Then remembered The Place in Medina, Ohio. So glad I went this route. Rex Brown was very knowledgeable, he answered All of my questions and concerns (that no one else could and other info. that I couldn't get online). The Place has a large inventory of Hot tubs. Like most stores, big box or small retailers they have a limited amount of Plug n Play units but more than most that I went to, and they carry the BEST plug n play model on the market: The Dream Maker and at an affordable price too. The difference with The Place and Big box stores, is that The Place knows their products and stand behind them! It is a family-owned company-(buy local). They have a repair shop on sight, their own repair guys/employees (unlike big box- once you get it home - after warranty-it's on you to get it fixed). The Place also carries any accessories, like filters and chemicals that you may need for your hot tub. The transaction was GREAT from start to finish, (no gimmicks, no delays, no bait and switch). The delivery and set up was quick and very professional; they left no trace of packaging material aside from my beautiful hot tub you would never know they were there! I couldn't be happier- I highly recommend Rex Brown and The Place in Medina Oh.

It was drained and winterized per the manual. When I opened up the spa in spring it powered up one pump and the control panel was not functioning properly. LeisureTime was contacted and a technician was sent out. The technician reported that mice chewed through wires and both pumps, motherboard and topside control panel needed to be replaced and the warranty was voided because of mice damage. I was appalled and disgusted! I spent $9K for this tub the year before. The reason I bought this model was because the salesman told me the bottom was sealed against critters getting in. Well they got in and I set about to exterminate them. I didn't do anything about the spa last season due to COVID. I thought the explanation I was given was bogus so I contacted an independent technician this Spring. He thought the same of the explanation. Within a short period of time he found that wires to the topside control panel had been compromised and it was a quick and easy fix. No other wires were found compromised. The technician from Leisure Time did no more than a 10 minute inspection and pronounced catastrophic damage. Do not buy spas from this business!!

Leisuretime was supposed to come out the next day with the cover, lifter, and starter chemicals. They did a no call no show. I called them on Tuesday, they apologized and set up for Thursday. I called on Tuesday and nothing had shipped. I have since filed a dispute with my credit card company and asked leisuretime to pick up the tub a void the sale. No response as of yet. We were repeatedly told "you're next" and "within weeks," but dates slipped with no firm schedule. In June 2025--nearly a year after paying--they were still saying we were "next." Key facts: - Deposit (July 2024): Months of "paperwork is submitted" messages, yet we never received a permit number or proof of submittal/approval. In Jan 2025 we were told paperwork had been submitted "yesterday," contradicting prior assurances. - Permitting (Winter-Spring 2025): The City issued adjudication orders and the permit was not approved until May 2025--~10 months after signing. (We can provide documentation if needed.) - No on-site work (through July 2025): Despite promises of a March start, there was still no crew on site and no schedule we could rely on. - Shell left exposed: The fiberglass shell sat outside uncovered for months with no start date in sight. We ultimately had them drop the shell at our property while we hired another installer to complete the project. Bottom line: After 13 months, aside from dropping the shell at our home, no installation work was performed. Communication was pleasant at times, but pleasant texts don't build pools. We would not hire again and do not recommend.
