I'm a firm believer of you get what you pay for. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case…read morehere. We thought buying a pool through a retailer and dealing with a salesman and professional installers would make our first pool buying experience hassle free. I was wrong. The salesman sold us the completely wrong heater (gas) after we clearly stated we needed electric and even discussed the hookup we would need. Once we saw the wrong heater was delivered we were told we'd have to pay an additional $800. Mind you this pool package was bought in October and has been paid in full. Fast forward to install. Had to call them numerous times to get delivery scheduled. Was told they tried to reach us. No calls were ever received. Now delivery day #1. Installers arrived late. Dug out everything then stated ground was too wet to install. Okay, no problem. That's Ohio weather and not their fault. Was told they'd get ahold of us first thing in the morning to reschedule. Waited until noon the next day never got a call. Finally CALLED THEM and was told install would be today. Delivery day #2. Was told the installers would be here between 8-9am. Then was told it would be closer to 11am due to a "mechanical issue." Here we are at noon with no installers, no phone call, and unable to get ahold of anyone. DO BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. Would've been easier to buy a pool online and install it ourselves for FAR cheaper.

Since 2021, we have worked with them for regular maintenance, service calls, questions about balancing chemicals, purchasing supplies and more. They are knowledgeable, kind, patient and accommodating. They offer a free service for you to bring in a sample of your hot tub water and they analyze it in the store and tell you exactly what chemicals to add. That was immensely helpful when I was getting the hang of the new hot tub. I highly recommend this business. They stand by their product and provide support to the customer for years.

Everything was great when I purchased my hot tub, but unfortunately, the advice I received…read moresubsequently primarily benefitted Ohio Pools and Spas at my great expense. After several years of use, I inquired about having the tub drained as I was then not using. I was discouraged from doing that and was told that it didn't cost that much in electricity to keep it running, so I followed that advice. I just had the hot tub hauled away as both the controller pad and manual jet controller broke and the cost to replace/fix was too expensive. I received my electric bill after the hot tub removal and my electricity usage dropped substantially. The cost of the chemicals to maintain, replacement of the hot tub cover, electricity to run and eventual removal of the hot tub were all expenses that could have been avoided had the tub been drained and left for future use. Sharing this experience to save others from falling into this pitfall.

You know how you go to the gym and you wanna get pumped up for a high energy workout? ? Well that's kind of hard to do when they have soft jazz or old slow country music blasting. The worst music ever! I mean, I'll put in my earbuds and that sleepy sleepy music is still blaring. There are other people complaining about it every time I go in. Somebody's gotta get a better DJ than the manager that they have that's picking out the music.

I'm going to give it a chance but Mentor doesn't have a good reputation for making things better. Anyway, I like the club b/c it isn't usually crowded. I attribute that to it being expensive, which is okay. Unlike other posted reviews, I've had no issues with the staff. They're young but other than saying hello and "have a good one" when I leave, I've had no reason to interact with them. I like the variety of machines although many are pretty dated, think Nautilus. But there are literally tons of free weights. The clientele slants older, not a lot of goons staring at themselves in the mirror, like so many other gyms. Many of the cardio machines need replacing. There are five racquetball courts and six indoor tennis. Full court basketball. Small indoor running track. Indoor pool is nice. The hot tub is usually nice and hot, the steam room is nice and the sauna is real hot. I've never used the outdoor pool. Also, the hours are 5am-9pm and they close early on weekends, so it has to work with your schedule. I like the included classes, especially boot camp. Cleanliness is acceptable but room for some minor improvement here and there.
