I love finding a bit of Hawaii in this small town setting. Ohanalulu offers Dole Whips, Hawaiian style donuts and beverages. We stopped in for donuts. The clerk is friendly and helpful. The donuts are served hot fresh and topped with your choice of topping and served in an adorable blue box. I had the Iced Cinnamon which melted in my mouth. My husband had the Bacon Maple which was generously topped with bits of bacon and a melted maple icing. The topping was ultra sweet and warm. The donuts disappeared quickly. The dining area is trendy and cute with a surf board and donut theme. There is plenty of seating. Unfortunately, most of the tables were sticky, covered with crumbs and frosting. The restroom was also in need of attention. It was 9:00 in the morning, so not sure why the facility was in this state. There is free street parking. I'd return but get my donuts to go. read more

Very disappointed recently. We went on a Friday around noon for some icecream. Upon walking in, we were the only customers and the employee was on her phone at the register (not a huge deal, as it appeared to be a slow morning). We ate our ice cream inside, but the trash was overflowing to the point where gnats were coming out and you couldn't put anything else in, not one table was wiped down, the floor was disgusting and had crumbs/fruity pebbles all over. My niece had to use the restroom and the large trashcan was overflowing with paper towels and toilet paper rolls. There were no paper towels left and no soap. When we came out, I had to have her dry her hands off on her shorts, saying it pretty loudly so the employee could maybe step in, but the employee didn't even try to refill the paper towels (we were still the only ones in-it had been at least 30 minutes at that point). You could tell nothing had been cleaned or touched in days. I love having Ohanalulu in Pendleton, but it really grossed me out being that they make and serve food. The employee was on their phone the whole time, instead of taking care of any of the issues listed above. The cleanliness of the facility seems like it needs some managing. read more

Such a quirky little shop located in downtown Pendleton. Whatever your whimsy for something sweet, they have. Cake donuts that you can then choose an icing, drizzle and candy flavoring on top of. They also have hard, scooped ice cream, a drink, case full of great root beer and other beverages and it's a deluxe coffee menu. No matter the time of day, this could definitely be somewhere special to have a meeting or just treat yourself. read more

Delighted with this place for a midday respite. Indiana PotHole chocolate ice cream was terrific! Just the right combination of chocolate chunks, and outrageously chocolate flavor. The service was very friendly and that young man stayed busy cleaning the whole time we visited! Excellent work ethic! While it wasn't busy that day, it was nice and quiet. Service was fast the couple of times I've popped in. The first time was to satisfy my sweet tooth with some ice cream. I got the lemon cheesecake and my friend got the puppy chow flavor. I did get a little bit of food envy with her choice! I also tried a donut and iced latte early one morning. The pumpkins spice latte hit the spot and I loved that they put topping on your donut after you order it. I got the s'more flavor. The only thing I wanted was more marshmallows. The donuts were hot and delicious and the topping combinations are endless. My kids fell on the lucky charms and cocoa pebbles donuts like a pack of wolves. I managed to get a nibble of the monthly special "blackout" donut before it disappeared into my son's gullet and it was a standout. Week of their grand opening. Owner was rude, entitled, and disrespectful to multiple customers. When I placed my order instead of saying what I wanted and the staffer taking my order I had to "write it down." I waited 45 minutes for 6 donuts and ended up having to order it a second time because I guess it was lost in their system. Tables were dirty, and they sent an employee that was off the clock to come in and help. We were so excited when we found out Ohanalulu would be opening a second location In our hometown of Pendleton! We visit the one in Fishers often and have tried almost everything on their menu! You can't go wrong! Their Dole Whip is identical to Disney's, strawberry shortcake is to die for, coffee, ice cream and donuts are always fresh and delicious!
