Oh my! Our new fave ice cream spot! Our old favorite went out of business in Anderson so now we're thrilled to drive another 10 minutes to cute downtown Pendleton for their awesome ice cream. They have some wonderful and unique flavors (Exhausted Parent, really? LOL) My only wish is that they can upgrade their two little outside cafe tables, kind of rickety, but there is a sturdy bench close by. There is plenty of inside seating if you go in inclement weather. read more

The most amazing and best ice cream shop! My best friend took me here a few years ago and I've been hooked ever since. My kids LOVE yummerful. The ice cream is always fantastic. There's so many choices for flavors, toppings, cones, etc. The waffle cones are made fresh right in front of you. They have other sweet treats, too. Cookies, pie, brownies, pudding, and many other things. The owners and staff are the nicest people. You'll get incredible service any time you go. It's such a cute little shop in a nice homely area. Our favorite thing to do is stop and get ice cream on the way home from the local park on those warm spring/summer evenings. read more

We love Yummerful! Great neighborhood ice cream shop in downtown Pendleton. They have hand dipped ice cream and the flavors rotate weekly. We love to get ours in waffle cones. They also offer shakes and sundaes. No public restroom though. read more

Yummerful certainly lived up to it's name. The owners were so sweet and so kind when I couldn't decide which of the two flavors I wanted, so they very happily offered me a sample of each and then suggested one more for me to try based off my interest in the first two and happily doled out another sample. The smell of their fresh waffle bowls when you walk in is incredibly inviting. They have new and unique flavors that change seasonally so it's not like your run of the mill chain/franchised ice cream shop. They have adequate tables for seating and the whole time I was in there the owners were chatting away with customers. Very positive experience and a perfect way to support local business. read more

This is the best ice cream place I have ever eaten at. I love love love all their ice cream choices. They have some regular flavors but they also have crazy ones like "Exhausted parent" and other yummy flavors. You can sit in doors or out side. Very clean and extremely friendly and fun staff. I travel back to Indianapolis once a month and sleep over near downtown Pendleton which is where the ice cream shop is located. Pendleton is small so unless you are nearby it would never be on your radar (yes, you'll be missing out). The name is a hit-Yummerful-what a great name for an ice cream shop! When you walk in the smell of the waffle cones immediately takes you over. I imagine there is a place in heaven that smells exactly like it. I think the samples are extremely important in an ice cream shop-they're a necessity; the employee was pleasant and generous with them. The ice cream is rich and creamy; it sticks together similarly to how melted marshmallows do. Once I learned it comes from a vendor in Madison, WI that seemed like an A-ha moment, as if it explained everything about how they get the rich creamy-ness. For how delicious it is, seriously a premium ice cream shop, the prices won't break the bank. We ordered a single scoop in a dish and a double scoop in a waffle cone-the servings were GENEROUS; probably the largest servings I've ever had from an ice cream shop and we only spent $8. We sampled at least 7 of the flavors and decided on Strawberry, Kitty Kitty Bang Bang, and Door Country Cherry. This will have to be my nephew and I's go to place for ice cream now. read more

With 32 flavors to choose from, you really can't go wrong! Great locally owned business that is just a hop, skip, and a jump off of I-69. We visited on their second day of business and were greeted with eager and friendly employees. After trying many samples, we settled on a scoop of Coconut almond chip, Kitty Kitty Bang Bang (delicious!!), and Mackinac Island Fudge. All were fantastic! You can definitely tell that they serve quality ice cream! The texture is so creamy and the choice of flavors cant be beat! I also noticed that they had some soy flavors as well. Prices are comparable with other ice cream shops. Definitely worth the stop if you are passing through... or even if you're not passing through, add it to your trip! read more
