I'm not usually the type of person who leaves a review for things but after the experience I had with Ohana Construction I had to make sure that the outstanding level of service provided did not go unnoted. The service representative I worked with was Kendal who made the entire process as painless as possible. I was hesistant to do the repair work on my house because I was afraid it may cost more than I was prepared to pay at the time. Kendal walked me through all of the steps for filing a claim with my insurance and personally worked as a liason between me and the insurance company. At every point Kendal communicated frequently and thoroughly, I had no doubt that Kendal was working for my best interest throughout the whole experience which is much more than I can say about other companies I have worked with in the past. A couple hiccups occurred where a small area needed to be readressed after the initial work was done but Kendal personally made sure it was handled promptly and that I was taken care of. Beyond ecstatic about my new roof. Currently writing this as I sit under a location in my house that would leak everytime it rains. Not a single drop of water in site. Working with Chris deserves a 5 star its self. I had to leave for a trip for an extended period of time, chris was able to provide me the quote before leaving and maintain the same cost when I returned. Other companies increased the price by as much as 9%. As an engineer I enjoy looking at the details from material, craftsmanship, cost and customer service. Was never disappointed. The crew that did the work was extraordinary, with the amount of work required, other companies were estimating 5 days +, managed to get the work done in 2 days with superb craftmanship. They even assisted me with making sure the interior of my house did not have excessive debris during the ongoing work. Ohana Construction really came through for our family. I had 7 companies come out to do quotes. Salesman AJ came to quote for Ohana. He was on time, and courteous. Due to cost, I actually decided to go with another company, when AJ and Dave Pozzi, his manager, called to discuss their initial quote. After we spoke, they made cost adjustments and worked with my budget. For the install, they had a large crew that did a good job. Our roof was a little more involved than they originally thought (more angles and cuts due to the roof lines), so they came back with additional materials to finish the job. AJ came out to check progress, and he walked the job when it was done. We chose an aluminum shake shingle, and we're VERY happy with the results. The roof looks really great, as it was replacing a Monier tile that had a lot of damages due to termite tenting. It's already been raining this season, and I'm so relieved to have a great roof that I won't have to replace again in my lifetime. Me and my wife chose Ohana from an ad that we saw through FB and was interested in making a claim towards our roof damages through our insurance. Although our insurance company Dongbu was super squirrelly and denied our claim we chose to proceed with cash. Tanden Hayes was the estimator and he gave us a fair and decent price. It took them almost 3 days to complete the roof and we were pleased with the outcome. In my opinion I hear other people's roof getting completed faster but why rush the process if you know they're taking their time to do a good and thorough job. They staged their materials on the roof prior to the start date so that we could have complete access without tripping over anything. I'd definitely recommend Ohana to anyone with roofing issues just because I was able to see the process of the whole thing from beginning to end and the quality of workmanship performed. Tanden was flexible with a payment plan and answered all our questions fast (even on Sundays). I probably could've gotten a better deal someplace else but I might've gotten what I paid for and wouldn't have sat well with it. After all it is a roof and trust me it ain't cheap. Called because it appears we have a leak and at the same time considered a new roof. Elton related that our roof is still in remarkably good condition and should not be replaced. We contacted Ohana Construction for an estimate for a new roof on our home. We actually had 7 different companies come out and present their bids. My husband being an engineer by trade and is now retired devoted an entire month to choosing the right company to replace our roof. You are probably wondering why 7 different companies. The reason is that our roof was not an easy job and we knew it was complicated and would require the right company to do the job right and to my husbands approval. We had a tile roof that was not in good shape and part of the roof had wood under the tile and part of it did not. We had skylights to contend with and attic fans also. It was our good fortune that Ohana Construction sent Dave Pozzi to look at our roof and give an estimate. Out of the 7 different companies, Ohana was in the running regarding the price.
