The terriyaki egg sandwich is really good. They dice the chicken and stuff it into a thick cut bread. Service is a bit slow but doesnt seem to be many people ordering.
I've had Oh K-Dog many times but this is my first time trying the egg sandwich. The sandwich was good but not the best I've had. The Korean dog is definitely better than the sandwich. I was excited to see new toppings such as ramen crisps and hot cheeto dust! My daughters loved their dogs covered with cheeto crumbs. They prefer the hot dogs here because other restaurants will cover the dogs with sauces, whereas here they have all the sauces on the side and you can customize to your liking. There's not much seating in front of this shop but you can take your food to the food court
Fresh made to order! There's a few tables to eat and enjoy your food and the cashier was friendly. I love that you can put on your own sauces! The sweet potato had great flavor, and the egg toast was cooked perfectly.
So these Oh K Dogs have been popping up all over the place. While I was at H Mart in Niles I thought I would give it a try. I ordered a hot dog that had 2 types of melted cheese waited about 5 minutes for my hot dog. Mehhhhh nothing that would keep me going back. Just give me a good old fashioned Chicago style Vienna Beef hot dog. Anytime anyplace. Just saying
Oh K-Dog is located by the cash registers and right next to the ArtBox inside of H-Mart. We ordered the ham and cheese egg sandwich, the avocado egg sandwich, and the spicy rice noodle. It was nice to see that everything was freshly made. The egg sandwiches didn't fill up the entire container that it comes in, the avocado did fall off so just beware that you may need to do some extra tucking before it falls apart on you. The rice noodle was too spicy for me but my husband enjoyed it alot. Overall it was pretty good and a nice option when you are in the mood for it that's local for the area, rather than having to go all the way to the city. They also serve Tanghulu (candied chinese fruit) there, so definitely am going to want to try that the next time I'm there!
I have only ever seen this made online, and I wanted to try it for myself. I'll start by saying that I love eating eggs anyway, so I was pretty sold on the sandwich before trying it. The only problem with my sandwich was that the bread was not all the way cut down, and the placement of the ingredients was uneven. All of the bacon and cheese was at the bottom of the sandwich for the most part, and that made it rather lackluster because I couldn't get a full bite with all the flavors. One thing that did throw me off was the amount of sugar taste in the sauce. That kind of overpowered the flavor profile. I am glad that the egg was cooked well, but I feel that the sandwich would have been so much better if it had been put together better. The location is in the Niles H-Mart, and the service was pretty fast. I still think this is a great option to eat before shopping. I will probably eat here again in hopes that the sandwich composition is better next time.
Came here soon after it opened on a Saturday afternoon. The place was not busy yet, but soon was after arriving. This is located near the cash registers in the area right after checking out at HMart. They sell a variety of Korean corn dogs and also egg toast sandwiches. The egg toast comes with a variety of fillings as well from original-just egg to ham and cheese and even teriyaki chicken. On this visit I had the Original Egg Toast. The orders are made to order so it does take some time for the food to come out. The toast is thick and nicely toasted. The egg is fluffy and it seems like there are at least 2 eggs worth. The original comes with some kind of sauce on the bottom of the toast and then the egg on top with a white sweet flavor to it. It was pretty filling and for $6.49.

The decision on which of the two to visit came down to my familiarity of what Oh K-Dog has on their menu versus what 'What A Dumpling' has, but both were definitely bookmarked. Oh K-Dog is located inside of H-Mart, an American supermarket chain of Asian supermarkets. I had to read the reviews in order to find that out, but best believe a reviewer like me will share pictures as well. While in search of it, I just happened to stumble on 'What A Dumpling' which I had no idea was inside of H-Mart as well. By then I had already had my mind made up on Oh K-Dog which ended up being on the opposite side of the supermarket. Its location is in a food court-like space with enough tables and seats available for dine-in, in the sector of H-Mart. In spite of being inside of H-Mart, the vibe felt peaceful, even with the sporadic "beeping" sound of grocery items being rang up at the cash registers which sat off to the side. Atmosphere: 3 (Okay) After looking at the menu, the employee who assisted me patiently waited behind the counter until I was ready to order, then came over to take my order. I ended up ordering the Oh K Egg Classic Toast Sandwich because it was one of the few items a lacto ovo vegetarian like myself had an interest in. As much as I wanted to order a corn dog, I just did not have the interest in one with cheese or mozzarella at that moment. At the time, the employee was very informative of what the corn dogs consisted of once I mentioned that I was a vegetarian. Service: 5 (Great) Oh my God! The Oh K Egg Classic Toast Sandwich tasted very good! It was hot with a sloppy like appearance, and very delicious! I joked with another customer after he asked me how it was. One of my responses after I told him it was good was, "It would be over, if they added hash browns with it along with an orange juice.". "I'd definitely drive up from Chicago, if they did." After eating the Oh K Egg Classic Toast Sandwich, I spent minutes trying to figure out what gave it its sweet taste because it will be what keeps me yearning for more. I smirked while driving out of the parking lot because I know that I will return at some point. Food: 4 (Good) I would gladly order from Oh K-Dog again when in the Niles area, or if I get a craving for the Oh K Egg Classic Toast Sandwich which would result in a drive up from Chicago. Still more of a novelty item than an actual lunch, I should really eat before going to HMart. I succumbed to the siren call of the Oh K-Dog, located across the way from the checkout aisles. I ordered a half mozza half hotdog and it took about 7 minutes to prepare. It was hot, crisp and had a nice cheese pull. The Oh K-Dog is simply OK. Maybe a higher quality hot dog?
I guess some reviewers are unfamiliar with this type of snack because they said everything is expensive. The prices are in line with other places that sell these. Definitely within the normal price range. Service was good. It did not take that long to get what I ordered. Don't expect them to just microwave things and hand it over. No, they have to prepare them and serve them fresh. I got the mozza dog, squid ink half and half, bacon and cheese toast, and teriyaki egg toast. They were all delicious.
What a cool and unique little place! I definitely wasn't expecting to find little shops and restaurants around the inside of a grocery store. but a fried potato encrusted corn dog was just the thing I needed as a brunchy pre-shopping snack. The selection was s definitely different from standard fried fare, but not so much for a Korean centric shopping center. We tried the standard potato dog and the cheesy potato dog, both with sugar because you gotta. There's a really yummy cheeses mustard sauce that brings it all together for a perfect sweet and savory taste. I will say the cheese dog was more difficult to eat because the fried dough has nothing but lava hot cheese to hold onto, so the potatoes are really the only thing holding up the shape. Service was quick and efficient, and there's several tables to sit and eat at. Condiments are self serve and there's canned and bottled beverages to purchase. I'd love to give five stars but it wouldn't be fair since I have not yet tried their other main treat- egg toast. You'd better believe I'm trying that on my next visit!
Been waiting for a korean egg toast to pop up nearby in the Chicagoland area! The brioche bun is super soft, well toasted, and buttered. The egg is fluffy and cooked well. I do think the original scrambled egg was way better than the chicken as that came with a hardboiled egg instead. I think more avocado could've been given as it was an additional dollar compared to the classic egg toast as the only difference. I liked how they had a sauce bar section on the side with their napkins free of charge as you rarely see places do that nowadays. The price is standard for what you pay for any other sandwich somwhere else so I would come back to try a different option and that being the egg toast concept is still unique in the area. Overall a tasty meal!
So happy to see more Korean Hot Dogs poppin up in the Midwest. I always get a snack after a H-Mart shopping haul but this time I went for a meal and ordered 3 dogs. 1. Half Mozza & Half Hot Dog with suga suga 2. Squid Ink Half & Half 3. Sweet Potato Hot Dog. My favorite was probably the squid ink and then the classic half & half. I was disappointed they didn't have any fish cake varieties but maybe they will in the future (hint hint). Service was fast and plenty of little tables to sit at. I especially enjoyed the self service sauce bar. Gimmie alllllll the sauces! I'll definitely hit this spot up again on my next shopping trip. If you like corn dogs you will love k-dogs!
Very crispy Korean style corn dogs located inside H-Mart. I really enjoyed the sweet potato covered mozzarella option and the egg, cheese, and bacon sandwich. The mozzarella had a nice stretchy texture. The sweet potato crust was an excellent addition to the dish. Moreover, the egg sandwich was awesome. It had a ton of egg inside, and the bread was very soft. I really enjoyed my visit to this place and look forward to trying more things on the menu. read more
This is a nice spot after the cash registers at the H Mart. It is one of the few food stands outside the normal ring food court. There are a few seats outside the stall. The egg sandwich is fantastic - soft, delicate, umami, and, for some reason, super hot. The toast is buttery and crackling. I don't usually get K dogs, but I did this time... I got the potato dog. It's substantial. It seems bigger than what you normally see (but I don't usually get K dogs, so take that with a grain of salt). It was like eating a hot dog and fries and melded together. The food is made to order so it's a few minutes. Depending on the flow of customers, the wait is not bad for fresh sandwiches. read more
Located inside the Super H Mart food court, this spot serves up delicious egg toast with mouthwatering flavor. It was my first time trying it, and I wasn't disappointed! I got the Ham and Cheese option, which was highly recommended by my sister. The corn dog was good too, although if you had to choose 1 thing to eat it would be egg toast (it's really filling!) Couldn't resist taking a bite before taking a picture. This is located in hmart by the check out counters. We got their original and their ham and cheese. Both were sooo good! We didn't even get to eat it right away. We lightly reheated it in the air fryer before eating it for dinner. And it was still Amazingly fluffy and delicious! Idk how they get the egg so fluffy and sweet! The only thing that would make this better is a spicy version. We topped it off with some hot sauce at home and it was perfect! (If you like it spicy) Even just one sandwich was filling for a dinner meal. The whole family liked it! Definitely will be stopping by here again. Next time I plan to upgrade and try it with their garlic toast version. Sounds so good! read more
I was really craving a korean corn dog and so while my mom was checking out at HMart, I decided to grab one. Super convenient and fast. The total wait time was less than 10 mins. There were two options you can coat it with - regular sugar or cinnamon sugar. I chose the regular one. There's also a condiment station where you got dress your corn dog (or Egg Toast). Compared to the other korean corn dog place, I feel like this one isn't as crispy. However it is a bit cheaper than the other one too. I still enjoyed it though. read more

I know by now I should learn not to go grocery shopping when I'm hungry and like the rebel that I am, I did. Not only did I pick up a few items from the sushi stand, I also picked up some of the prepared food with my usual grocery items along the way. When I was at the cashier, I noticed a long line outside of this spot. Even though I already had a bunch of ready to eat food, with my rumbly tummy, I decided to give it a shot and joined the line. The menu had so many corn dog options as well as hot sandwich options that I got overwhelmed. I ended up asking what their popular item was and it was the cheese and potato. I'm normally not a big fan of fried potatoes but this was pleasant. It reminded me of chunks of fries distributed around a corn dog. They had a garlic sauce that I dipped it in and it really added to the flavor. Once you get to the cheesy middle, it turned into a mozzarella stick. I wish I was able to get a photo since it was definitely cheese-pull worthy! I've heard amazing things about their sandwiches from friends so I'll have to try that next time I'm there. read more
This establishment is located inside the Niles H-Mart. You can't miss it. It's by the registers. They also have tables and chairs set up to eat in that area. It looks clean and inviting. The employees all wore masks. In the time of COVID, I appreciate that. After we ordered, it took a real long time to get our food. They make it to order so we were patient about that. We also prepped our sauces. We were in the queue to pick up our food when one of the employees from the back came out with a dust pan and broom. She started to swept around everyone's feet then scold at everyone in line for blocking their advertisement. So rude. The establishment is located in this tiny corner. Between people with carts at the register, to the line waiting to order, the dining area, there was no where else to stand so we could hear our order. If I hadn't order yet, I would have just left. She left such a bad taste about the entire establishment. The egg sandwich was really good. It was savory and sweet. I could eat two and still disgustingly eat one more just because it's so tasty. The bread was soft but had the integrity to hold the filling from spilling into my hand. The potato wedge corn dog tastes exactly how it looks so there's no surprise there. I should have ordered the half cheese, half hot dog. But if there's a next time, I'll do that. read more

I got the sweet potato corn dog and the half mozzarella and half hot dog. My bf got the reg potato one and the cheddar cheese corn dog. He said he would come back again. I absolutely loved the sweet potato one! Super big and filling. I've been to a couple Korean corn dog places and this is probably one of my favorites at the moment (I've been to one in Texas prior to them making its way to Illinois, and one in Assi Plaza). Lots of people ordering the first time I went, but they got my order right. The lady giving me my food was super friendly too. Next time I want to try the toast because those look yummy! I like that they have a condiment station so I can pick whichever sauce(s) I want. Wish there were more tables but it's inside Hmart by the check out so not much seating area for them. Would return soon for more since I love going to Hmart in Niles anyway! read more
Went here for the first time and it was pretty good! My partner introduced it to me and it was filling. We had the toast, tteokbokki, and corn dog. The tteokbokki was ok. Not spicy at all. It had fish cake and tteok (rice cake). The corn dog was alright as well. I prefer the Korean corn dog place at Glenview though since they have more flavors. As for the toast, it was extremely filling. It wasn't spectacular since I felt like I could make this at home. However, the prices you can't beat! It was really cheap. I think all of this was only $20 which is pretty cheap in my opinion. Very convenient spot since it's inside Hmart right in front of the cash registers! If you're hunger and at Hmart, definitely check it out. read more
It's a small little shop with a few tables to sit at in the court area. It is inside of Super H Mart. Staff is friendly and everything I have tried is amazing. The pricing is reasonable for the size of the items you get. I recommend the cheese K-dog it's super cheesy, crunchy and some how sweat and savory. It's a great snack or meal. read more
Jumping on the bandwagon to try the new korean fad! They definitely know how to fry a good corn dog here and the outside batter tastes heavenly especially paired with all the different sauces they offer! One thing I was disappointed with was the actual quality of the hot dog meat itself. The meat looked anemic and didn't have much flavor. When I think hot dog I think juicy, salty and flavorful. This one really was a let down...is this the way korean corn dogs are supposed to be? If Costco beef dogs could somehow make their way into this...I think it could be the most perfect snack food ever...until then I shall keep dreaming... read more
Yummy Korean style hot dogs! Crispy crunchy and delicious. We were at Hmart and saw this new Korean inspired hotdog stand. We order the regular and mozzarella corn dog. It was delicious! They add a sprinkle of sugar to the mozzarella dog and then it's the regular it was recommend to try with their cheese mustard and ketchup! Great snack to go! So happy the Chicago area finally has Korean corn dogs!! I got the squid ink half & half (half mozzarella, half hot dog) and it was absolutely delicious!! I love that they have so many different options to choose from, as well as numerous sauces and toppings to add. I can't wait to come back and try more corn dogs and their egg toast which looks delicious too. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Conveniently located inside of Hmart so you can get your grocery shopping done before finishing here with a snack. Definitely recommend! read more

New food place inside H-Mart, Niles, located across from cash registers, nestled in between other small non-food shops. I will give this place a 2 star. My daughter ordered by the menu number. The TVs showing the menus are at an odd angle. You need to stand inside and to the far left just to read. You will be blocking the way to the small drink cooler and the small counter space that holds the different sauce bottles, napkins and straw holder. There are 2 TVs outside and above the entry way that show KPop music videos and the company's commercials. The menu should be shown there too in between the commercial. There was a family of 3 pressed up against the window, taking photos of the guy making the hot dogs and talking so loudly, I'm guessing that was the reason the cashier got the order TOTALLY wrong. Greatfully my kid wasn't charged for our TRUE order. How do you not hear " 1 #7, 1-#8 and 1#9" and up getting 3 -#1s?? And worse, you get called by your receipt number. She got charged for 3-#1s. Next time, we will go when it's not so busy and loud.. read more
