I just learned that in medical abbreviations that q means daily. So if I were to prescribe bb.qqd, then you should eat delicious Korean fried chicken daily. Suppose I were to prescribe bb.qq2h, well then you should eat fried chicken every two hours. And just imagine, bb.qqh, you should be eating delicious golden crispy chicken every hour. I think that might be impossible because the golden crispy fried chicken is served very hot and it takes a long time to cool down, but it is delicious nonetheless. Ordered Secret Sauce 1/2 chicken and Gangjeong Wings (8 pcs) for take out. Wings are double fried, same as Bonchon, however I could not get a good gangjeong flavor profile. I actually preferred the whole chicken, it was perfectly fried, juicy and moist. The secret sauce was bit on the sweet side. Stick to the wings if you prefer the double fried option, but if you have large group, order mixture of the wings and whole chicken. The pickled radish was ok, I like it more on the sour side, but it wasn't bad. However, they don't give too much. Was sad that they did not have coleslaw, sounds like they got rid of them. Bb.q chicken has been featured in the shows enough for one to put it on their "Food Bucket List." There are several flavors you may choose from but I selected the secret sauce. Which is sweet and tangy; gochujang base. This sauce is not overpowering nor overly sauced. Oh, you can't just buy a few wings. This chicken is so addicting, you must buy the whole chicken. That's what we did for two persons. Rice and pickled radish Korean radish came with our order. I believe you may choose other sides if you wish. First off, they fry the chicken fresh so it's not sitting around. Plus, it's fried twice. Yes, twice to make it extra crispy. This process does not dry out the meat. They paint on the sauce so it's not drenched. The chicken stays crispy even after our half an hour drive to the hotel. We even brought some home the following day and it heats well in the air fryer. So crunchy, tender, and exploding with flavors. I loved and savored each bite. So good! It's not overly salted like KFC or Popeyes. When we walked inside, we weren't immediately greeted but the woman behind the counter was willing to assist. There was a K-pop video on the TV, piles of trash on two tables, and used napkins on the floor. Another woman joined the dining area but looked bored and uninterested in cleaning. Whether you like it "dry" (Original, Spicy original, Cheeseling) or "saucy" they've got something for you. Honestly every flavor I've tried has been delicious, from the Soy garlic, Cheeseling, Galbi, Gangnam style, secret sauce. IT'S ALL GOOD. Don't think you can go wrong. The radish and coleslaw are also a good way to balance the heaviness of everything else. Also really enjoyed the Rose Ddeok-Bokki, unique and delicious, still with some kick. This place is pretty unassuming on the outside, but once you go in it has vibrant hip vibe. We got seated pretty quickly. They used to have an arcade console and board games in the back for customers to play while waiting for food, but those are no longer there unfortunately. The music was vibing with Korean songs. The manager was super friendly and nice for our 1st time experience. I'm a very indecisive person and I don't do well with many choices. Some people love having many options, so if that's you, their menu is for you. There are so many flavors of Korean chicken wings to choose from. I'm a saucy type of girl, and I wanted Korean gochujang sauce chicken wings. With the choices there were on the menu, I had a hard time narrowing down, but thanks to the manager, he helped me pick which one I wanted. My friend went with the combo of whole chicken (half original and half secret spicy). I didn't try the original but I did try secret spicy sauce. It was very similar to Toreore's sauce, which I didn't enjoy very much. I got the honey garlic M wings- high recommend. It was good with flavor and perfect crispness. I also ordered M spicy galbi wings. These 2 combo were very good, one spicy and one non-spicy. I loved the spicy galbi wings more than the honey garlic. I brought my leftovers for my family to try and surprisingly, it was still crispy even at home! Somehow leftovers tasted better than when I was there. Last, but most importantly, we went because they have rosé tteokbokki (Korean rice cake). Rosé sauce consists of tomato sauce & heavy cream that makes it a creamy tomato sauce. I've never tried a pasta version, but for me, tteokbokki was on the chewier side and didn't match well with the sauce. I think i would've been ok with the soft version. The Secret Spicy wasn't spicy and it was drenched in sauce. If you want spicy, I'd try the "spicy" one not the "secret spicy." Our order was ready within 25 minutes. We ordered the cheeseling wings and kalbi wings. We also shared a kimchi fried rice with cheese on top. The difference between the medium and large wings is that the medium comes with 10 wings while the large comes with 20 wings. The wings were super crispy but the chicken was a little bit dry. Hubby liked both flavors but I didn't care for the kalbi wings. The cheesling was an interesting flavor but it is definitely enjoyable and worth a try. The kalbi was sweet and didn't really taste like kalbi to me. The kimchi fried rice was also good and the cheese was a nice addition. This was a good amount of food and then some for leftovers. Honestly I would have given this place 5 stars without question as this was my 2nd time coming back as the food truly is delicious, but the service has completely gone downhill, and truth be told, it's not always just about the food. We were the only patrons in the restaurant, yet it took a while for us to place our order as the server was on her phone. I am digging this Korean chicken movement. bb.q is probably the closest to me and thankfully turns out to be really good! Galbi is my favorite flavor; it's so savory and well balanced. This joint is worth five stars for the galbi chicken alone! It's so good that I can't see myself ordering anything else, now that I've sampled most other flavors. Soy garlic is solid; secret spicy is good but it is not spicy at all and has a strong fruity flavor, too sweet for my taste. I usually get boneless because I am lazy and just want to chomp chomp chomp. It's all high-quality white meat, but can sometimes be a bit dry. We tried a carryout of their whole fried chicken and picked their combo of half Golden Original and half Secret Spicy for $24.95.  The order also comes with a couple small containers of radish cubes.  It was nice to try a couple flavors and overall it was about 4 stars good. The Golden Original was fine but it was a nice boost to have some sauce on the other half.  The Secret Spicy is a tasty sweet sauce and mild and not spicy at all FYI.  If you want a bit of spicy I would suggest the Hot Spicy even though we didn't try it, but just betting that it's not very hot.  A couple of knocks kept the chicken offering from being in the 5 star category.  First, it is a little pricey.  Secondly, the white meat was slightly dryish, but the dark meat was moist and fine.  Thirdly, on the Secret Spicy, the battering was also a little on the heavy side.  The Golden Original did have a nice crunchy skin. I was told that this spot was better than chongman chicken but I would have to disagree.. I did although enjoy the spicy wings, they were tender but had a light crisp to them. The sauce was not as spicy as I expected and was a little sweet but I did like them. The fries however are a different story. I did not like them at all.
