I came three weeks ago for my very first time & fell in love with here ! The stylists were so welcoming & heart warming , it was pier positivity in the room ! Ivette worked on my hair & omg lemme tell you she's amazing ! I had black hair before i came in & she recommended highlights but with a very low volume bc i had told her ive been wanting to get rid of my black hair & am trying to go somewhat blonde , if i wouldn't have came here they would've fs messed up my hair somewhere else bc most places don't even care it's all abt the money for them & what the client wants even if it means burning a clients hair without even worrying abt the clients hair just bc most places like i said are just mainly focused about the money so therefore they do anything the client wants unlike here it's very different , the stylists do care ! they care about the clients ! they tell you the truth & are super super honest ! they give us clients the best recommendations of what to do with our hair , why ? because they genuinely care ! im here again my second time ! ima continue to come here because i love it ! this has been the best hair salon ive ever been to throughout my whole life ! what are you doing going to other hair salons ?? make an appt now here ! you won't be disappointed ! just you wait your going to fall in love with this salon ! read more

I was looking around for a place to get my hair some high lights, small cut and style while my normal girl who has been doing my hair for a few years now went on PG leave. Walking by OhEmGee the new owner, Ivett ,was passing our her business cards. I called her when i got home, she was so convincing that she would do a good job and gave me a discount I couldn't say no. I gave her an idea what I wanted and she took it from there. My husband thought it looks very sexy . I have curly hair but she blew dried it straight. Love the color too, not too many lights, just enough like I wanted. She asked me to yelp my comments so i signed in to Yelp for the first time and did so because I feel she does a good job and others should giv e her a try. I read the other comments and I guess i'm not the only one. The bad part is NOW , who am i going to next time? New or old ? They are both good and good prices. Word of advice, Ivett, you need to sound more friendly when on the phone. In person much better. On the phone , not so much. It you are that busy, have someone else answer the phone for you. She's the new owner but not new to styling hair. Give her a try. You might have the same hard decision to make as me. Hummm OMG! read more

Ivett has been my stylist for 20 years. Until I met her, my hair was damaged and wouldn't grow from years of coloring by other stylists. She is an expert in color and restoring damaged hair. I would recommend her highly, my family all goes to her. The other day I was in her salon and a woman came in with extremely dry, damaged hair and was insisting on highlights. I observed as Ivett tried to reassure her and talk her through the entire process. The woman was highly anxious and kept approaching Ivett to open her highlight papers to check for overprocessing. This went on for almost an hour yet Ivett continued to reassure her calmly and professionally. The woman was increasingly agitated and it is no surprise to read her negative review. While she wouldn't allow the highlights to be developed by her continued pulling the foil open, the picture she attached shows beautiful and healthy hair. This is a 100% improvement to the visibly dry, fried hair she walked in with! My hats off to Ivett for showing extreme patience and class while working with a visibly unstable client. I'm a psychiatric RN and she handled the situation with utmost sensitivity. read more

For context, I probably have closest to a 2C wavy type hair, no color treatment, hair near my waist & my last haircut was maybe 6 months ago. I have very dry hair & want to keep my hair long while making it stronger & healthier. I booked a haircut & K18 treatment. I am writing this review 2 days after my visit & drove from the Costa Mesa area. Service- Tawnya asked a lot of specific questions to make sure we were on the same page for what I wanted. It was surprising how detailed some of the questions were, some were things I never thought about. She told me exactly how much she'd be cutting off & it was exactly that. We also did a leave in treatment which my hair desperately needed. I could instantly feel the difference in my hair. The ends were completely soft and my hair had an extra shine to it. People around me noticed too, two days after my visit & I'm still getting compliments about how great my hair looks. I will absolutely be coming back. Location - Look for Sola Salons when you pull up to the parking area. That is the entrance you'll want to take. Tawnya has her own private studio inside. Part of the reason I hate going to a traditional salon is the combined noise from all the stylists. It is overstimulating & I walk away feeling exhausted. I had heard she had her own space but didn't realize how much of a huge difference it would make. I walked away from this appointment feeling re-energized & went out with friends.
