Hands down awesome hair salon with reasonable pricing. I was looking for a salon that was nearby and saw that this salon had good reviews. I was a little skeptical because I left a voicemail and wasn't sure if anyone was going to call me back. But Gina came to the rescue and called me back to schedule an appointment within 48 hours. First of all just want to say I am not one to write a review, in fact this is the first I have ever written one.I felt that I waited long enough and I just had to write this. I decided to try Heather for hair color and what a big mistake that was. It has been 2yrs now and my hair is still not the same as it was before Heather over processed it. I had petty good hair before going to her, she has ruined it so bad that to this day I still have uneven pieces all over the place and my hair is all different lengths and cannot not be fixed by trimming because it has long and short pieces everywhere. It is a mess. I have tried everything treatments different shampoos trims even extensions and nothing worked. I can no longer color it because that would make it even worse. I have to let the gray show through. I have not felt good to really go out anywhere for 2yrs. I have missed events and being seen anywhere but work. We all make mistakes and I understand that but when I called Heather back to tell her about a week later when I washed it, it literally melted off on the round brush. I told her I need to come in and this needs to be fixed she charged me another 80.00 plus the 300.00 I paid her to have my hair fall out. I can not believe the way she handled the situation she never took responsibility for what she did. I have been coloring my hair for 30 plus years this has never happened to me. So unprofessional especially for a salon owner. I would beware of any chemical service with her. I think she damaged my cuticle. My hair will never be the same again. So just wanted to say beware, especially if you are a little older and your hair is starting to go gray. So sad I trusted her!!!! Too bad I can not rate this 0 stars. read more

Definitely a 5-star experience! Staff is very friendly and they always offer me a beverage or snack, especially for those long appointments (I've went blond and red at this salon!). This place was great! I walked in after going to the Downey Farmer's Market and I got great service. My hair came out so nice. I got a cut and some highlights. Not only was the staff really friendly and the atmosphere was fun, but they also provided pastries! Yum! I felt really comfortable with all the stylists, especially James. I consider myself a picky consumer and this is the only place I can literally "let my hair down" in more ways than one! I have thick, course and curly hair that is extremely hard to manage. Choosing a hair stylist for me is more like conducting a job interview on the corporate level! When I go to Jaymes I know he will listen to exactly what I want.
