And when I asked if it was okay to bring my daughter later on in the day they said of course and took us in without any issues. When we raised concerns, Mary--the stylist--claimed that unless your hair is "virgin" (i.e., never dyed), there's no guarantee for good results. That's a ridiculous excuse for botched work. If your stylist can't work with previously dyed hair, they shouldn't be offering color services at all. If you value your hair, your money, or even just basic respect--go somewhere else. I asked how much it would cost to have them installed, and I was given a price. When I arrived, however, I was told that the extensions were not considered "bundles" and that I would therefore be charged significantly more for the installation. I asked what she meant by "bundles," because I understood a bundle to mean the amount of hair contained in a package/box. I explained that I had approximately 100 grams of hair. Despite the change in price, I decided to stay and proceed with the appointment. Before starting, I also asked whether the amount of hair I had would be enough for my entire head. I was told that it would be. Once the installation began, it became clear that I did not have enough hair. I was then told that I would need to purchase additional hair and pay an additional installation fee. At that point, the total cost was going beyond my budget, so I decided that I could no longer continue with the service. Since the service was not completed, I was very surprised to be told that I would still have to pay a $175 cancellation fee. I understand that stylists need to be compensated for their time, but in my situation, I feel the experience was unfair because the original quote had changed after I arrived, I was initially told that I had enough hair, and then I was informed that I needed to spend significantly more money to complete the service. I also felt uncomfortable because pictures were taken of me without my permission. I didn't say anything at the time because I was already frustrated and simply wanted the focus to remain on my hair, but afterward I realized how uncomfortable that made me feel. To make matters worse, the tape extensions that had already been installed were very visible around the crown of my head, which I was not happy with at all. I understand that pricing can depend on the amount of hair and the work involved, and I respect that hairstylists deserve to be paid fairly for their work. However, I believe these details should have been clearly explained before the appointment, especially since I specifically called beforehand to discuss my hair and the expected cost. Overall, I left feeling very disappointed and frustrated with the experience. I regret not walking away when the price changed upon arrival, and unfortunately, this is not a salon I will be returning to.
