    Scallion Pancake

Solid and fast casual Chinese food. The pork buns were the best, and the pork cabbage dumplings and scallion pancakes were good too. The sesame noodles were a bit bland in my opinion, but still good. Limited counter seating (like four seats), of which we were able to snag two Saturday ~7 PM. Fast service.

    Dumpling sampler

Went late on a Sunday night - it's tucked around a corner. You could order the dumplings steamed or fried. We waited about 10 min for the dumplings (even though they told us 15) and the sampler came with dipping sauce and spicy sauce (if you wanted). There's not much room to eat inside the restaurant, but people seemed to be moving in and out pretty quickly. Most importantly - the dumplings were delicious. My favorite of the sampler was probably the pork!

Horrible gross disgusting messy presentation. Literally delivered slop to me. Wonton soup was wonton shreds with pork meatballs, scallion pancake was filled with lettuce and thrown together. Very displeased.

    Brown Sugar Bubble Tea

Oh yeah, pork dumplings, pork belly buns and the brown sugar bubble tea to wash it down with. It is a little expensive for what it is, but it's more because of the area it's in. The food and drink were all good and all had flavoring. Not a bad spot if you want some Chinese food.

    Sweet Pork Mo

Strolled outside for some sunshine the other day and was drawn to get dumplings from @oh_dumplings FG. I've been struggling to get good 'dumps since I moved from the LES and was so close to Chinatown. These aren't as good as what I was use to but are definitely a decent option for this area. I do really love that they offered a 'rainbow' dumpling selection which was their variety pack. It's nice to have multiple options in one to-go container. I did REALLY love their chili oil, a great blend that wasn't overly five-spice flavored. I also was intrigued to try their 'Sweet Pork Mo'. The bread was an interesting texture with being slightly crunchy. I've never tried something like this so I can't compare. I did enjoy it but not sure if I'd pick this over a scallion pancake wrap. I definitely want to try a few more menu items in the future.

Brown Sugar Bubble Milk (No Tea)

I ordered a bun with chicken, Cong You vegan noodles, and a brown sugar bubble milk (no tea) from Oh! Dumplings at Fort Greene in Brooklyn, NYC. My favorite menu item was definitely the bun! The softness of the bun itself was like a cloud, paired with a flavorful sauce. My head was definitely in the clouds eating it. The portion size of the Vegan Cong You noodles was generous and they were cooked well. The only thing I'd change is adding more flavor to them. They tasted pretty plain, so had to add some hot sauce to give some extra zest to the dish. The brown sugar bubble milk (no tea) was average. Could've been a bit sweeter, but overall was ok. The lid design was so cute! I'd definitely order the bun from here again (so delicious!) and try other items on the menu!

Best fried pork and chive dumplings I've ever had! I also love the dumpling sauce - it has an amazing vinegary taste.

The food was very fairly priced and the portions were huge. We got the pork soup dumplings, pork fried rice, szechuan chicken (which came with white rice), and pad see ew (which though not listed comes with pork, chicken, and shrimp). Everything was solid, but our favorite was the fried rice which had a ton of flavor. I liked the veggies that were in the chicken dish but there were just way too many of them compared to the chicken and I wasn't crazy about the sauce. The pad see ew wasn't made the traditional way I've had it with soy sauce and oyster sauce. It had some sort of orange sauce that tasted closer to a sweet and sour. It wasn't bad it was just not what I was hoping for. The soup dumplings were solid, no complaints there. And the fried rice was great, lots of flavor. Overall, I liked this place especially for the price but I'd probably order different things if I went back.

I found parking down the block and walked over to the restaurant. It seems like more of a delivery spot because there was no one inside sitting at any of the 5 tables. It's a fairly good size space, very simply decorated, mixed with a cool wall resembling a curio cabinet of treasures. I chose a spot in the middle and went to the restroom which was clean and simple. I noticed there were a lot of takeout orders, from delivery services to local folks picking up their regular dinner. I looked over the menu and decided on salt and pepper wings and an order of shrimp. Fried Rice came out first and it was delicious. I even tasted a hint of salted egg yolk mixed into the egg mixture friefried up with the rice that signature crispiness with the little saltiness.... fantastic. The salt and pepper wings were different than the ones i'm accustomed to though the flavor was amazing. It didn't have the fried garlic, peppers, chilis, and onions that i'm accustomed to being in the dish. They were still flavorful, juicy and crisp and I could tell they cooked them fresh. That was much appreciated. I ended up taking half of my food home because I was stuffed.Thank you Msm Ellen and the Crown Garden crew for a tasty solo dinner.

The pork with garlic sauce was absolutely delicious. This one isn't spicy so it didn't numb the mouth. The mapo tofu was also delicious and a little spicier but still not numbing the mouth. Def better to have it with rice though. The green pepper fish was mouth numbing and honestly I couldn't taste much of the flavor because the combination of spice and the hot temperature of the food was overbearing for me. So if you're like me and can tolerate some spicy but not numbing spicy then I would recommend telling them less spicy. Portions were perfect for 5 people (3 males and 2 females) as we ordered 2 of the pork with garlic sauce, 2 mapo tofus, and 1 big green pepper fish dish. We went on a Saturday at 5:30pm so it wasn't too crowded. Overall delicious and the staff were all friendly and very attentive in filling up our water for our spicy meal. There was nothing that I ordered that needed ketchup. Nothing. There wasn't even soy sauce in the bag. Then had the unmitigated gall to charge $22 for the salt baked shrimp and told me I had to pay $5 extra to substitute the lo mein for white rice. Who is eating white rice with shrimp? Girl bye. I'm not paying almost $30 for one meal from a hood Chinese spot. If there's no heat in your establishment, your prices need to be in lowercase. If it looks like you might catch staph in your establishment, your prices need not to be so loud. I also believe they overcharged me. They did have a sign saying that the prices went up, but I think they may have been too cheap to print out a new menu if that was the case. I was going off of what they had on the wall for the general public. So as I stated, I ordered crab Rangoon ($7, allegedly), honey wings ($7, allegedly), a shrimp egg roll ($2, allegedly), spare rib tips with fried rice ($12, allegedly). My total was $31. My assumption is they probably charged me extra for pork fried rice, which I didn't ask him for. I know for a fact they are not charging tax because there's no way that you're forcing people to pay in cash while also charging them for taxes that you don't pay. The crab Rangoon was actually pretty decent even though I didn't have the sauce that comes with it. The honey wings were OK. They actually taste more like honey BBQ. I prefer C&Y honey wings. It's real honey and stay hot for an hour due to the way honey maintains heat. I also don't appreciate when these spots chop up a wing and call it two wings. 1 wing is the entire thing. STINGY. The spare rib tips I don't like and neither do I like their pork fried rice. The rice is a bit bland and I don't like those large spare rib tips. I prefer the boneless spare rib tips that C&Y has. A shrimp roll is a shrimp roll is a shrimp roll. It wasn't too bad and it was actually pretty happy. The shrimp was a little bit larger than those baby shrimp that they normally stuff in shrimp rolls. Their pricing is on par with C&Y yet I don't have no issues paying what they ask and their food is good aside from their lo mein. They are not stingy and have pretty decent customer service unlike the guy who took my order here who paused my order to take another order over the phone and tend to the person behind me. This is what I get for cheating on my spot and being lazy when they both were far af.
