8/9/21, delicious club sammies on croissant. Ogi Deli
Carla C.

Didn't want to cook the day before turkey day, so we ordered sammies to go. Everyone was happy with their order. Lamb sando (Bilotza), Reuben, Tuscan chicken and deli club sando. Pleasant counter staff and quick preparation of the order. All very smooth and pleasant. We'll be back. == Ogi Deli offers online ordering. Re: online ordering: the website requires an automatic 20% tip, so we decided to just go in and make an old-school in-person to-go order. Just can't get my head around doing all the work online, being required to pre-pay a 20% tip and picking up order at the counter. Hard pass.

Jamón gazta and lemon orzo soup

Traveling through Elko for work and found this place based off if top ratings. We couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised by such a quality lunch spot in a small town in remote e Nevada. The food was fresh and quick to come out. The staff was friendly and even spoke to the owner for a few minutes. The jamón gazta sandwich was grilled perfectly and I enjoyed the light lemon orzo soup. The sheep herders sandwich was HUGE - you didn't need a side. Don't sleep on the cowboy cookie - such a delicious treat.

Lovely interior.

We drove from Reno to stay overnight in Elko. Arrived early afternoon, so of course we wanted a quick lunch before going off exploring. What did we want? Fresh salad. Ogi Deli's got them! We ordered two different kind of salad bowl. Both are fresh, plentiful, flavorful, and satisfying. No wilted anything there! Also I dislike too much dressing on my salad, but it was on the light side, and was perfect. The decor is clean and lovely. Clean. Comfortable. I can tell the many diners/take-outers are repeat customers. Staff is kind and upbeat. Wonderful all around. Definitely a great find. Will be back!

The Ogi Deli was a great place to stop for lunch. The person I went with absolutely loved it and thought it was their favorite place to eat in Elko Nevada. My sandwich had Basque cheese, which was really delicious. The sandwiches were good and prepared quickly.

It's been a year or so since I've visited Ogi Deli. The last time I was there I tried the avocado toast, so I wanted to go back and try a sandwich. Boy, I've been missing out! On this trip, I tried the Nevada tri-tip sandwich, and it comes with an aujus dip, with broccoli salad. The sandwich was super flavorful, and the Aujus was really good! The broccoli salad was super fresh, and I loved the contrast of the sweet dressing and cranberries with the smoky bacon. I saw a few other sandwiches on the menu I really want to try and will definitely be going back to get them. Including the basque chorizo sandwich, the one with the pork loin, the lamb grinder and the big Dagwood one! I love that they use basque ingredients, seeing as how Elko is so rich in basque history. If you make a trip to Elko, Ogi Deli is a must try for lunch!

I got the Italian and the Greek with chicken added, both where good, I did take out but the interior looked nice for a small shop and the service was great. Because I did takeout started to get a bit soggy by the time I ate it at the park. That's not why I dropped a star, I did so because I think if the bread was toasted a bit more I would have liked it more. And for a grilled sando it is maybe a bit pricy. Overall great taste, eat quickly and over toast bread, especially if it is sourdough. Still recommend as a try for sure.

Fresh food and great service. Pretty tasty... especially if you don't want the standard greasy fast food.

In reading reviews from others, one needs to know the style and intent of the place. People looking for sophisticated, fancy meal will be disappointed. People looking for a family style meal, with the warm and engaging people, with honest, real, good food, will be thrilled. We were there for a late lunch. Our server was extremely kind and explained the menu, process, and local favorites The Pico Punch had a touch of Vicks 44, but that's exactly what it should taste like. The quantities are huge. Cabbage soup broth was delicious. Italian bread would be better if warmed, but still good. The salad was robustly tossed and the dressing had a nice touch of garlic. The steak sandwich was tender and had an excellent marinade/flavor. Fries: very greasy and not their finest moment. We have family in Iowa and this all felt similar: Midwest friendliness, warmth, and good food. We were leaving at 445 and the line had grown to 20 for dinner! Appeared to be locals/regulars. As another noted, yes, there are brothels just down the street. Hey, it adds to the local charm!

Elko, NV May 2026…read more We entered the restaurant and the hostess told us to seat ourselves. It is a very uninviting dining room. Concrete floors and about 15 tables. There are many framed pictures along the wall, and some baskets hung as well. The restaurant and bathroom are exceptionally clean. The waitress is very kind and full of personality. Told her I had some food allergies and she seemed to know the menu very well and told me what to stay clear of. I ordered the SHISH TAWOOK and my husband ordered the chicken rolls. After 15 minutes, they came back to the table to tell us that they were out of chicken rolls. So he ordered the same thing as me. The food came out on a wooden board similar to a charcuterie board. There were six small pieces of chicken, and the sides of hummus, rice, and tabbouleh . I ordered a side of pita as well. The chicken was flavored perfectly. However, the chicken was overcooked and dry. The rest of the plate was delicious. The pita was very good as well. We both really enjoyed this meal. The only thing that brings my score down was the overcooked chicken. Otherwise it would have been perfect. This place gets 4.7 stars. I would definitely come back
