I meant to share this review sooner, but I have to give the Ogden team a HUGE shout out. Back in April, I had finishing the final alterations for my wedding dress that I had sewed myself, I noticed some of my pen markings were visible on my dress and tried to remove them myself 2 nights before we had to leave for our wedding. I was devastated and so mad at myself. My family called around and Ogden's came highly recommended. They told my to bring my dress in as soon as they opened and they would do what they could. I came here with three pieces of clothing that had been sitting waiting for repairs for quite some time. They fixed them to good as new! All three basically need various versions of hemming and alterations and the prices were quite different for each. I don't know much about clothing alterations though. Either way, I'm very impressed by how they turned out and would totally go back again for dry cleaning or other alterations. Nightmare experienc! do not go here. this establishment employees AND owner treated my future wife horribly while we were asking for help with her wedding dress. Ogdens wrecked her wedding dress to where she had to get whatever Ogdens did fixed at another alterations place and Ogdens did not care and had no considerations for my future wife. I took a new pair of slacks into be altered on the 23 rd of August to be hemmed one turn of the hem. I went in to pick them up on the date they told me they would be ready, September 3rd. it took them about 10 minutes to find them. at one time the man helping me said they were ready but they couldn't find them. they finally found them and I took them home. the next weekend I went out of town for a party. I took the slacks for that party. when I put them on you could tell they had not been rehemmed. when I took them back to the cleaners they would not do anything about it and practically called me a liar. so I'm out $30.00 for NOTHING read more

I drop off dry cleaning every Saturday and the staff is always super friendly and helpful. My fiancé's work shirts always turn out great and the prices are fair. We get other things such as blankets and dresses done here and have had great experiences everytime. I feel like I can always depend on Ogdens to take care of my things and have them done in an appropriate amount of time. read more

I think 3 stars is a fair grade for this single experience, as opposed to 2 stars because the manager was friendly, professional and very willing to work with me and fix an "unequal" hem at no extra cost--very much appreciated and I think that was a good business gesture. I requested only one jean leg to be hemmed to be even and equal to the other leg--the jeans came back equal length, but unequal in appearance (see pics). In addition, hem on khakis was not well-performed. Jeans went back to the seamstress to be "repaired" and now look great, which tells me that they are capable of hemming to my original specifications, but lacked the foresight (or were just lazy the first time) that the pant legs should match in appearance. Additionally, the cost of this job (hem two pairs of pants, $23) was more expensive than I have paid at my former L.A. alternations shop ($7-8/pair) so it was disappointing that the quality did not exceed my expectations. There is a paucity of alterations businesses in Flagstaff--this may be the only one. For this store (and others) my recommendation is to make sure that your directions are crystal clear--bring in examples of what you're expectations are or provide pictures to help illustrate your needs. For the lack of options in town and the relatively high cost, consumers' expectations should be met the first time. read more

Don't go here. The problem is the owner, Dan doesn't train his people well enough. One of his employees messed up my Hugo boss jacket. I brought things here before , and thought, "everything went fine before, I'll ignore the previous comments." That was a mistake. I needed the jacket (I refrained from bringing in the pants in case something happened), it was 1400$, and blah blah same stuff everyone is complaining about. The ironing job on the lining was so terribly botched, I wasn't able to wear it to a jacket and tie event. Afterward, I had to take it to someone who knew what they were doing. What I really think is happening here is some employees know what they're doing and some don't. So, go ahead and gamble, if you really need to, but I won't be coming here anymore. I think some more training is in order for some of the crew. If Ogden's didn't have a monopoly, Dan would be out of business. Good luck, buyer beware. You've been warned, I suggest you heed the prior advice, I wish I would've. read more

When 2/3 pieces you send come back with clear issues, it's obvious that this place is just not worth using anymore. My orange blouse looked perfect on the front, but has dark scorch/dirt marks on the back that are rubbing off. Hopefully with another soak and dry, it'll be good to go. However, my cream colored jumpsuit has been completely re-dyed to light pink, which has pretty much rendered it unwearable because pink's just not my color. Based on the dark red thread sitting on the lapel (that wasn't there when I sent it originally), they must have washed it with another RED item that bled onto mine. Despite the ticket on the bag reading "White -- solid" to confirm the original color, they refused to refund me for the damage. Why am I paying you $14.50 to destroy a $200+ jumpsuit? It makes absolutely no sense. So disappointing and will not be coming back. read more

I had to take my comforter in for cleaning awhile ago. It still irritates me beyond belief. They ruined it. It came back to me clean, yes, but some of the material was all bunched up like it got too hot and almost "melted." Some of the fabrics came back piled. I'd rather send it to another town than use Ogden again. Do not recommend at all. read more

ONLY GO TO THE EAST LOCATION. The West has the worst service ever. Very rude people and lack of care for customers. I was told I would get a call when my items were ready, never recieved that call. They lied about the pricing. I left a comforter set to find a rip it it when I got home. I called them immediately and they "didn't know what I was talking about." That I could bring in the comforter but they don't know how long it'll take to fix. The seamstress is rude, the manager Tammy not helpful whatsoever. Lack of ownership of mistakes, little organization, will never come here again. The owner Dan is amazing, works at the other location in town, is the only one listening to my concerns and fixing what this location did. Will only go to the East location. read more

This establishment is horrid on all accounts. The counter help is unfriendly, they do not provide prices up front, so you never quite know how much your cleaning will cost, and when you go to pick up your clothes, they do not actually pay attention to tickets. I was given four garments one afternoon when I had dropped off EIGHT! Then there is the tailor who doesn't measure hems. I dropped off about 7 pairs of pants to be hemmed and one hole repaired. The first time I picked everything up, two of the pants had different length hems, and one pair was still dragging on the floor. The hole? It hadn't been touched. I took the repair back and she did such an awful job fixing it, I would have preferred if she had said it couldn't be fixed, save your five dollars. read more

The problem is the owner as another dissatisfied customer has said. They ruined two good sweaters by putting them on hangers and stretching them out. The owner didn't care and doesn't properly train his employ There is a reason he has 15 one star reviews. My one sweater was old. The other one was a new Neiman Marcus cashmere. I told the owner he needed to make it right and that no competent dry cleaner hangs sweaters. He considers that "hurling insults". They have hung good sweaters numerous times. My story would be long but for those future brides seeking their gowns to be dry cleaned, please take time to read. You would know the reason for my poor rating. Hope this will help you before heading to this store. After my wedding, i decided to do dry clean on my wedding gown since it was kinda dirty at the bottom because we had an outdoor ceremony. Knew this dry cleaning store due to recommendation by my two friends who had a good experience with their service (dry clean but their gown was simple). Went there Sept 22, 2021, after my wedding. The lady who catered us was very pleasant and accommodating. She told us to come back after a week. Then there was this woman who suddenly looked at my wedding gown and told us immediately to come back after a month and to pay $100ish upon claiming. I clarified the time frame since I was first told a week then suddenly a month. She told me it's because of the belt on my dress. So I agreed with her since she had a good reason. First week of November, I went to the store expecting to get my gown since it was already OVER A MONTH, At first, employees were not able to find it. Then this man came to me and told me that my gown was just hung at the side and it was not cleaned yet because they still have to ask permission from me for them to remove the belt . IT TOOK THEM MORE THAN A MONTH FOR THAT TO ASK ME. He then said that THEY FORGOT TO CALL ME. HOW DISAPPOINTING So I asked him would it be a month still? He said to only give them a week. After a week, I dropped at the store to get my gown. Upon checking, I noticed that the belt wasn't tucked properly both sides (which is not a really a big deal). I continue checking then I FOUND A GAP BETWEEN MY BELT So I ask the same man I spoke week before. I asked him what happened to the belt???? He was telling me that he didn't know and it was like that already. I told him NO IT WASN'T LIKE THAT. IT WAS PERFECTLY FINE THE FIRST TIME I CAME TO THEIR STORE. You know what's disappointing and made me really upset and mad? HE KEEP ON INSISTING THAT IT WAS ALREADY LIKE THAT. He was not even the one who received my gown on Sept 22). So I showed him my wedding pictures and told him it wasn't like that. More to my disappointment, he said "MAYBE THE MANUFACTURING" (Hello? Am i dumb to buy a damaged belt which cost me almost $400???) He wasn't apologetic instead he keeps on insisting with his own theories to the point he asked me what really happen with the belt (duh? MY GOWN WAS IN YOUR STROE MORE THAN A MONTH. I SHOULD BE THE ONE ASKING YOUR QUESTION). After the long debate, he told me that they can tuck the belt again and try to fix the gap (HE COULD HAVE SAID THAT AWHILE AGO RATHER THAN INSISTING WITH HIS EXCUSES!!!) So he said to give them a day and he will update me with the gown. Day after, I received a call from this guy. He was like, SO WE TUCKED THE BELT AND FIX THE GAP. YOU CAN DROP BY TO CHECK IT AND I THINK YOU WILL BE HAPPY WITH THE RESULT, HE DID APOLOGIZE WITH HIS BEHAVIOR AND TOLD ME HE WOULD NOT CHARGE ME ANYTHING FOR THE INCONVENIENCE AND THAT THEY JUST WANT THEIR CUSTOMER TO BE HAPPY. With that being said, I was really expecting that the belt was fixed. I did appreciate the offer but I would rather pay for the service and have my gown fixed. Following day, dropped by to their store. This man wasn't there. The woman I spoke didn't know anything of the story. So I checked the gown, tucked was good. They were able to tucked the belt again but WTH??? THE GAP WAS STILL THERE (it wasn't that bad) but STILL THE BELT WAS STILL DAMAGED!!!! I got my gown and left. I AM PREGNANT AND THEY GAVE ME A LOT OF UNNECESSARY STRESS! FOR THOSE BRIDE OUT THERE WHO WANTS TO PRESERVE THEIR WEDDING FOR A GOOD REASON, PLEASE DON'T HAVE YOUR GOWN DRY CLEANED IN THIS STORE. 100% I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE FOR YOU, TO MY CO-WORKERS AND TO MY FRIENDS. I took my coat in to be dry cleaned, when I got it back the zipper was broken. Portions of the zipper teeth were missing. Last time I use them even if I have a discount card. I received a call from Dan the manager and he had my zipper replaced. I can now wear my coat again I am satisfied. Thank you Dan for the wonderful service. read more

I dropped off an oversized baseball jersey hoping to get it fitted for me. I wanted the sides of the jersey tapered as well as the shoulders and arm holes brought-in. After dropping my shirt off I read some reviews about Ogdens and became a little nervous about being over charged or having my clothing ruined.. I went to pick up my jersey today and its exactly what I asked for. (I guess this is a lesson in how people are often quick to report misfortune or poor service even if those experiences outweigh the good ones 10:1.) Anyways, My boxy, boyish and unflattering jersey is now streamlined and tailored to me nicely. Also, for what it's worth everyone was very pleasant to me from when I first stopped by to when I left with my item. Took 2 pairs of pants here, one pair of gray jeans to be tailored and one pair of pink jeans to have a hole fixed, where the fabric had thinned out. Both were done in about a week and it cost less than $10 per pant! I was very happy with the prices. The quality of work by the seamstress, Shirley, is fabulous as well. The tailored ones fit perfectly and you can't even tell where the seam was opened and closed up again. The pink jeans looks great where the hole was fixed, and Shirley patched it up in the exact color of the pants! You can hardly even tell from a distance, and even up close it looks great! I don't mind the criss-cross stitching to fix the hole, so the work done is perfect to me! I'm so thrilled that it was at such an amazing price too. Couldn't be happier! read more

BEWARE!! Ogden Cleaners recently bought Holmes Cleaners on Cedar Ave. The store was closed on Saturday, although the sign stated they opened at 9:00AM. When I called and spoke to the manager- MATTHEW- he told me and I quote " HEY DUDE, I AIN'T GOT TIME FOR YOUR BULLSHIT", then hung up. When I did pick up my shirts they were wrinkled. I dropped off two suits to be dry cleaned. Picked them up a week later and put them in my closet. When I went to get my black suit out, I realized my black mens slacks had been replaced with a pair of womens slacks with a fin pinstripe. I returned the womens pants and 5 weeks later they still cant find mine nor have they agreed to replace them. They never returned phone calls when I stopped by or called to check on the status of my pants. Avoid at all cost. read more

EDIT: The owner, Dan, actually saw this review and immediately reached out to correct the situation. He is very nice, and really cares about his business. I had a chance to look over my wedding dress thanks to my fiance driving it down to me, and while the alteration left the shoulders a bit large still, the steam and press that accompanies all alterations was done well,leaving my dress without a single wrinkle and looking very nice on the hanger. When passing through Flagstaff, I would use their dry cleaning services for sure. Due to the unexpected, yet prompt response, and the quality of the clean after the alteration (and despite my disappointment with the alteration itself), I have restored a few stars. ORIGINAL: I dropped my wedding dress off to be altered, late February or early march, I can't even remember now. Tammy seemed nice enough, and the original consult was quick. She let me know that prom was looming, and since my event wasn't until May, she would put it off a week or two. Fine. I let her know I was moving to Phoenix soon, and would need time to try it on, etc. I was quoted $35 since I didn't need hemming, and just a shoulder adjustment. The weeks tick on with zero communication. I call in late April to inquire about my dress, and am told that it is still not finished, but that they would have Tammy get in touch with me. A few days later, April 28th, I receive a phonecall assuring me that the dress will be finished within a week, and prom season has just been "so crazy," not that it should matter since my dress has been there for a month and a half at least, but whatever. I hear nothing else. Yesterday, May 8th, I call again. She is rude, and tersely says that the dress is finished, and says nothing about any complications or anything, explaining that it will be available for pick up in the evening. Being in Phoenix, I send my fiance who is still in Flagstaff to pick up my dress, so that I actually have it for my event. And they charge him $60, quite a bit more than the original quoted price on the receipt. I won't even have time to try on my dress before I have to wear it, so hopefully it actually fits. I take my shirts to Ogden Dry Cleaners in Flagstaff, Arizona to be pressed. Normally, I am happy with the results but, when I went to pick up my shirts today they couldn't find the ticket. After searching for the ticket and not finding it, I recommended that they just looking for the shirts. One of the three employees did, which I thanked her for. She said there wouldn't be a charge and ,Dan, the owner will call me Monday morning. We will see if the go from 1 star to 5 star. These are clothes I wear to work so Monday I am in a jam. So I called Ogden Dry Cleaners at 9:30, Dan wasn't in but a very helpful woman said my shirts were found and the would be pressed and ready for pick up today, no charge. I checked my shirts and the looked good. The clerk behind the corrected me, telling me they weren't lost, they just had the wrong tag. I thanked them and left. I think I will look for another dry cleaner. read more

I can't comment on their competence as cleaners. I can say that their seamstress service is absolutely horrid. I had two jackets with zippers that came apart under stress. I took both in *three times* to have the zipper replaced. Each time, I said, "Replace the zipper." Seriously. How hard is that to understand. I got one replaced after the third try. The other one, I just gave up because of the run-around I was getting. Jobs were not done on time, and were costly. I think one of the employees I dealt with was a meth head, judging by the telltale marks on his face. If you need a seamstress, go to Saff Fashions, 416 N Kendrick, Flagstaff, 774-4860.
