Chopsticks had included a fork, napkins and the small packets of sauces without being asked. When I arrived at my hotel room and opened the weighted take-out bag, I was surprised to see a large bowl instead of the usual cardboard box for my Szechuan chicken. The accompanying rice was in a box though. The Szechuan chicken was super-hot in temperature and extra spicy as ordered. Normally, when you ask for extra spicy the restaurants are fearful to actually make it so. Maybe it was the double extra, extra that clued them in. But it normally does not work for others. The Szechuan chicken had a lot of vegetables (green/red peppers, mushrooms, broccoli, baby corn cobs) that make me feel better about eating Chinese food. The vegetables were not only abundant but fresh looking and cooked thoroughly. There was also plenty of white strips of chicken to enjoy with all those vegetables. My only negative was that for it to be that piping hot, it had to be microwaved. Not sure if it was done in a wok earlier and then reheated, but that is my assumption. I am in search of good egg rolls. I travel frequently and like to try different Chinese restaurants in different cities across the U.S. Good egg rolls are very difficult to find. They are either too greasy, insufficient filling, or just lacking flavor. These were not greasy at all. So not greasy I found myself wondering if they used a convection oven/ air fry oven. A+ for that, but C grade for the filling. The filling did not have much flavor overall and with the shell being dry, the filling needed moisture. Oh well, the search continues. They do have seating for around 50 people and it appeared clean from my brief exposure to the restaurant. The woman at the counter was friendly and spoke perfect English. The price for the food was fine, not too expensive and not cheap. I would return to Chopsticks to try out other items next time I am in Rochester.

Place is small, so it is not ideal for a huge group of people. *It has an open style kitchen, so do not wear anything expensive clothing to prevent them from absorbing the smell. Food Quality: 5/5 I ordered stir-fried noodle w/ beef and sliced pork w/ garlic sauce. They freshly make your food and have them ready within a timely manner. The food was not greasy and they did not over salt it which is great. Food Quantity: 5/5 There were more than enough amount of food offered where I had to pack home at least half of both dishes I ordered. Food Presentation: 5/5 The food were presented nicely on plates that are consistent in style. No chips on plate. Customer Service: 5/5 Constantly checking if you need more water. Made sure you like their dish. Very friendly and helpful with dish selective when you're indecisive.

Just don't stray too deep into their menu of Chinese take-out standards, and you'll be happy, well-fed, and none too poorer. I love their stir-fried noodles, they're somehow perfectly toasted. Other selections like the egg drop soup or the ma-po tofu are good but somewhat bland and lackluster. The dim sum and apps are above average - crispy, zesty, savory, mwah! But the noodles steal the show on flavor and options. If you want, you can eat right there in the shop, it's no-frills but cozy.

Went for dinner tonight because of the high recommendations. Was not impressed except for one dish…read more The moo shu pork was excellent. Honestly it was excellent. We also ordered bourbon chicken which was not like bourbon chicken it was basically big chunks of chicken not Reddit or deep fried with a whole bunch of vegetables - they have it under the sweet and sour section which is completely misleading because it should be under the regular vegetable and meat section. Also the amount of pepper on it was Ludacris like you could see black specks everywhere it was so peppery. It's supposed to be sweet and sticky and that was not it. I ordered the Sah cha shrimp and again it was three shrimp with a whole bunch of big vegetables. The Ho Fun was a glob of stuck together overcook noodles. No sauce as far as we could tell unless it's just soaked right in and made everything sticky although we only were eating 10 minutes after we picked it up. Spring rolls and egg rolls nothing to write home about - may have been purchased at a restaurant warehouse. Subgum wonton soup had good wontons but only a couple tiny shrimp a few minor strips of pork and I mean like shaving strips and a whole bunch of broccoli and other stuff vegetables which is not typically subgum wonton. But the moo shu pork was really good. The only thing I'll ever go back for potentially is the Moo shu pork

The beef udon noodles were tasty. I did not care for the spring rolls. The filling was a little too wet, so there was kind of a creamy texture. Will definitely go back to try a few more things. You order at a kiosk for takeout. Edit: it seems that I reviewed this restaurant twice accidentally. I've only visited once. I'm trying to get the duplicate removed. Sorry, JBC!
