We OVERpaid for a project because Sarah sold us on the length of time in business and lied stating they don't use outside contractors. We had a kitchen demo/remodel. First week was great. Communication was wonderful. Week 2, went downhill fast. No communication. Drywaller showed up hours late. Difficult when I had to keep dogs locked in a bedroom. Got drywall all over my floors and hallway walls. Next day showed up 1 hour, again late and no communication. 3rd day the painter. Week 3 (which we were verbally promised 3, no more than 3-1/2 weeks by Sarah) I noticed that the countertops on the blueprints I happened to see left out, were NOT what we wanted. No one EVER went over designs or confirmed anything with us the entire time. Due to medical reasons, we asked for rounded edges and they were bringing in squared edges. We're able to correct that. However, the quartz was NOT grey/white as Sarah stated. Which I brought up at the time of signing, that sample had NO grey or white to which she claimed to have seen the slab and assured us it was indeed grey/white. Now counters installed. NOT what we asked for. Do not match cabinets at all. Then came the backsplash. Informed days before countertops were laid, that our choice was not available. Sent over 3 samples to select from (no countertop to match it with other than the grey/white in my mind we had supposedly ordered. Now, backsplash is too dark. When we told them it doesn't match, they continued the project, completing it with existing backsplash AFTER I asked them to complete the job as completion date grew closer. To finish, they installed the sink, you can clearly see wood through the sink! The bay window does not drain and water rolls down into the caulking. Then the owner decides to leave town on completion, NEVER coming out to address any of the issues. They accepted final payment but refused to sign a letter stating I accepted my contractual responsibility, but I do NOT accept this job as being performed satisfactory. The first night it was completed, we ran the dishwasher, which flooded our kitchen. Again, reaching out, they blamed us for a faulty dishwasher. They sent in a private plumber (as we refused to allow the original back for faulty work) who pulled out building materials from the drains of the dishwasher. Their fault again! They cashed the final payment, and refused to respond to me. The project is nothing like the photo we were shown. We got wrong countertops, wrong backsplash, cabinet doors, day 1, chipping paint and one won't close at all. They charged us for drawers/cabinets and due to mismeasuring, gave us cheap space-filler cabinets to which Sarah glorified them, calling the "cookie sheet cabinets". We are now approaching week 3 of completion and still nothing from the owner. In one photo you see the grey/white choices we were NOT given but told the piece on the far left (beige/cream) was grey/white. They've taken no accountability at all. At our expense, we will need to have another company come in and demo everything to have it done correctly. I've recently filed a complaint on their contractors license, and will filing a complaint on their business license as well as a complaint with the better business bureau. It is also looking like we will be going to court as weeks are passing and no resolution has been made. This project was just shy of $40,000. Now I have a dark, unmatched kitchen that looks hideous with less space than I started with and chipped cabinets, crooked counters, and unsymmetrical recessed lights. AND, they didn't even put in the light switch on the end of the kitchen. Everyday we are discovering more and more faulty work, so it's beyond just cosmetic. This companies lies, cheats and steals your money to get you to sign. Not 1 day in the past month and a half has ANYONE come in along the way or for final inspection, to even address our concerns. Please don't fall for their lies! If I can save one other person their life savings, wasting my time posting this will be worth it! Please note, ALL 5 star reviews are a long time ago! Mine is current! This company is not what they claim to once be.

Carlos recommended polishing and sealing the floors as well as replacing the bad planks under the fridge and some others through the kitchen. On the day for the work to be done, Carlos and his crew arrived on time and got right to work on the repairs. Day 2 was sealing day and I have to say the end result looks great. About 1200 sqft and 60 linear feet of baseboard extension for the sunken bedroom. Carlos came to our house with a sample sheet. Then measured and made an estimate that evening. Everything was above-board, in writing, licensed, and insured. The work done was beautiful, timely, and efficient! There was no materials markup: he put me in contact with his supplier, and I bought directly from them through his business account or cash if I preferred. That was good because we changed our mind about the color when we could see the large samples at the showroom. When the flooring arrived, he advised us to acclimate it for 24 hours, what a pro, then he installed it all over the weekend! We wanted to keep the existing wood laminate, you know, save $600, but he and we knew it would look much better if we replaced it all. Just look at the photos. I feel lucky to have been able to hire O'valley painting. My husband and I just bought our first home which was built in the 60's and we needed someone to skim coat our ceiling (had popcorn ceiling removed by another company) and paint pretty much our whole interior before we moved in. We worked with quite a few contractors for new roof, plumbing, electrical, popcorn ceiling removal and kitchen remodel before I met with Marco and his professionalism and knowledge definitely stood out. Marco has 30 years of painting experience ( he was a painter apprentice becoming a foreman before starting his own company) and it showed - when I first walked through the house with him. He looked closely at all the walls and touched the textures of the walls and talked about what the issues were and how he was gonna fix it then he stopped at one of the bedroom walls and could tell there was wallpaper underneath the layers of paint that no one knew about! (Turned out there were 3 different patterns of 60's wallpaper in that room.) The other painting company had just looked at the walls and did not care to touch the walls. Because of what Marco discovered, my husband and I removed layers of old paint, 3 types of wallpaper and wallpaper glue ( Marco's company can also remove wallpaper but my husband wanted to tackle the task) and with Marco and Josh's paint job that bedroom is now glowing. Marco is like a Dad that looks out for you. He saw our ceiling after popcorn ceiling removal and told us the job was not finished (we had no clue) so we had the company return and fix it. Then he saw a closet that was just constructed that was done subpar so he said the builder needed to come back to fix it before Marco touched it. LOL. So we did and Im grateful to him for that. He is no nonsense and expects greatness from others because he aims to deliver great work himself. Marco and Josh worked tirelessly over 12 days including Saturdays to make the interior of our house look brand new literally from floor to ceiling. They were always on time, treated our house as if it was theirs, worked hard throughout their entire working hours, listened and collaborated with us on what we needed to get done, and cleaned up everything everyday before they left. For any painting needs in the future I highly recommend this company. Thank you so much Marco and Josh! We love our house because you guys did such an amazing job!

We also needed someone to paint the entire house, including the eaves, wood windows, trim, and exterior doors. As the project progressed, we also added on removing a window, re-siding the back of our house (a long wall without stucco), installing a new back door, and replacing our old garage door with a brand new one. Through all these changes, Daniel and sons rolled with the punches and delivered an absolutely gorgeous end product. They even consulted on paint colors, and I could not be more satisfied with the results. As a bonus, Daniel and his sons are just the nicest people you'll meet (and you will meet ALL four sons). I'm originally from the Midwest, and they reminded me of everyone I know from back home - friendly, honest, and always up for a chat. They stopped by the house every day to check on progress, and I feel like I really got to know them. A++ communication. Don't hesitate to call these guys! It had a tendency to collect dust in the grooves, and it gave the house a dingy, run-down appearance. Some parts of the house also needed paint. We were not totally sure how to go about improving the house's appearance, but we knew we wanted that texture gone, plus we needed some of the eaves and windows painted. We started speaking with a few different contractors. We decided to work with AHI because of the positive reviews, and because they gave us a very detailed estimate, which seemed like a fair price. We primarily worked with a project manager named Eli Shemer, who was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. He made sure we understood the steps and timeline, and helped us decide on a direction for improvements to the house's appearance. He was proactive about checking in with us and making sure there were no issues, and always returned any calls/texts quickly. In the past, we had negative experiences with other contractors taking a very long time to even begin a job. But Eli and his team were very quick to start the job, and they maintained a very good speed of work to complete it. Now that we see the finished result, we can't believe that we didn't decide to do it all sooner. The exterior looks vastly improved with a smooth stucco look and an impeccable paint job on all the wood details. Curb appeal achieved! We definitely recommend working with them.

He patiently talked us through our options for resurfacing the outside walls, and had some great ideas about the best ways to execute. We eventually settled on removing the textured surface entirely, and applying new, smooth stucco. Eli and his team created a beautiful, smooth exterior stucco surface, and painted details that have given the house new life, while preserving its historic charm.
