I got a poppyseed pastry for myself and it was good but a bit too sweet- and I NEVER say that about pastries because I have a wicked sweet tooth. But the texture and freshness were great. They had several savory items and the girl behind the counter told me that a batch of quiches were just about to come out of the oven so I got an egg, cheese, spinach and bacon one for my husband to eat after his procedure. He said it was great. It was $12 and change for those two items to go, which seemed a bit high but it was fine for a special treat. Local bakery which is often overlooked. Recently renovated which adds a nice cafe touch. Try the chocolate croissant, or a pistachio muffins. I'm not surprised that this bakery has five stars. But I am surprised that there are only 14 (now 15) reviews. Are the people frequenting this place not on Yelp? Or maybe they're trying to keep it a local secret? I love just about everything in this bakery. It primarily offers desserts, but there are some savory items as well. (The vegetable quiche was quite tasty...and hearty.) We also had the lemon honey and cocoa honey balls...in addition to a discounted chocolate muffin. All of it was very satisfying.
