Hidden gem inside a strip mall serving up delicate European pastries and coffee. Pros: - Service: As soon as we walked in we were greeted and any questions we had answered. - Coffee: very good. Right about of espresso, milk, and ice blended into a delicious concoction. - Tart: heavenly. Not to sweet with the right amount of lemon. - Atmosphere: great vibe. Lots of room for sitting and a large sofa which makes you feel right at home. There are also two small tables outside, perfect for outdoor coffee dates. I've got no cons. Support local and stop by!

Local bakery which is often overlooked. Recently renovated which adds a nice cafe touch. Try the chocolate croissant, or a pistachio muffins. I take home the fresh rye for my roast beef sandwich, but make sure you check the freshness. Customer service is ok. I'm gonna give it a four because I have no other bakery but Publix.

Ordered quiche, and it wasn't good. I wouldn't come back. I should have probably opted for the pastries or crepes.

Everything I have had from here is great. The quiches are amazing and I would highly recommend! Not pictured but all of their cheesecakes are fresh and very flavorful as well.

Apple strudel. FYI - their cherry croissant is more like a danish. Not flaky buttery croissant style.

Yay, another bakery to add to our local list. Their downtown location on Main St is just too busy and so service can be slow. This location is a nicely kept secret to get the same delicious pastries and a quieter cafe to eat at. Cherry croissants, apple strudels, all their croissants actually Need to try their poppyseed Euro bread one day.

    Amazing desert selection!

Great little coffee and pastry shop in downtown Sarasota. Very friendly staff and comfortable decor. We ordered 2 deserts and were more than happy with them. The coffees were fantastic as well. We will definitely return for the after dinner desert in a very relaxing environment. Thank you

The bread is really good...soft in the inside, crusty on the outside. I will be going back.

The chocolate honey cake was pretty good, the tiramisu was a little strong and the crème brûlée was very good (best of the three)

8.5/10 good stuff…read more ive had these donuts a few times. they're quite large so there's a lot to chew on. the flavors they have on display are also great but a lot of the time i do feel they are overly sweet (biggest recipient of this hinderance would be the cookie monster flavor, the icing is just too much) but it's not that bad a lot of the time as well. the service is good and the ambiance is also good. i do feel the timing of this association is quite rough though; only being open from 7:00am-2:00pm for a snoozer like me isn't great but i understand why that is.

This morning (January 30th, 2026) we arrived to pick up a box of pastries. The employee on duty was loudly taking a personal call, and refused to acknowledge us in any way. Not even eye contact or a gesture to say "one minute!" We stood there awkwardly waiting for her to finish, as she spoke of things we were not meant to hear. (Finances, payments, bills, etc). Only after concluding her call did she grudgingly acknowledge us, but it was with a bad attitude. She was immediately snappy, offered no greeting, apology or explanation, and rushed through our order. By the time she finally spoke to us (rudely no less), I was ready to walk out due to time constraints. I didn't appreciate the lack of professionalism from a place I frequent often and enjoy eating at. Sadly, it'll be back to Gold Star Donuts for us until the customer service team can improve on this. The donuts are great, but not good enough to wait 10 minutes for such poor treatment from staff.

Actually, just get there early anyway because the pastry items are fresher/better. There's indoor and outdoor seating. I typically skip trying to park next to it and just go to the garage and walk over. The service is more attentive than a typical French cafe overseas but not as on top of you as a typical place in the US. You can definitely order at the counter in French if you want to and I've had a waiter there flip between English, French, Spanish, and another language (maybe Romanian?) in one order. The sandwiches I've had were all lovely, and had a little side salad that could benefit from a better dressing (they serve an okay vinaigrette though). I've yet to encounter a single bad pastry - the elcairs, mousse cakes, and flaky pastries like chausson pommes are on par with the typical boulangerie/pattisserie in France and don't make me think US adaptation at all. Prices are reasonable.

It's a small, quaint spot with an amazing atmosphere, but definitely be prepared to wait if you're coming for brunch it's very popular for a reason! The wait was absolutely worth it, though. I started with a cappuccino, and it was perfection rich, smooth, and exactly what you need to wake up. For food, the savory crepe was outstanding. It had that perfect authentic texture slightly crisp on the edges and soft in the middle. I also tried the cauliflower soup, which was a surprising highlight. It was incredibly creamy and flavorful honestly, one of the best soups I've had in a long time. Highly recommend this gem if you're in the area!
