Foxtail Coffee is conveniently located in the same parking lot as our hotel for a quick, weekend getaway to escape the New England winters and we hit up Foxtail after our run this morning. The spot is clean and has a cool vibe to it. A couple business people are having a coffee and working on their laptops and music is gently playing in the background. Definitely a nice spot to bang out some emails or get a little bit of work done! I ordered a hot coffee with a splash of cream and went for the dark roast that was brewed. The coffee was good, nothing incredible. It was hot and had an okay flavor to it but just wasn't anything remarkable that would make me seek it out again. Later today, I also stopped in for an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and similar to the hot coffee from this morning it was just okay but not anything to knock your socks off. The convenience of the spot is a huge selling point and the coffee is certainly decent but we'll probably be looking for a different coffee shop tomorrow morning. read more

Last weekend we discovered Foxtail Coffee next to UTC Mall in Sarasota, and it was a welcome find. On a busy Sunday afternoon, the café was full of people enjoying their coffee inside and on the shaded patio, creating a lively and upbeat vibe. Guests were engaged in various activities-from using devices and working on laptops to playing board games. There were several baristas on duty. I ordered a cappuccino served in a ceramic cup. It was perfectly crafted, bold and rich taste, with perfectly textured milk. Foxtail takes pride in sourcing high-quality beans and roasts them in-house right here in Florida, which gives them great control over the coffee's flavor. We also found out they have a customer loyalty program and offer discounts through their website and app. We will definitely be returning. Christmas time, it's chilly as we visit the UTC mall area to view the Christmas lights and festivity's. Foxtail comes to the rescue with a super variety of hot coffees, Chai and a menu of delicious pastries and snack foods. We purchase coffee and continue our visit by taking a horse and buggy ride around the mall area. Lots of fun. read more

I am a coffee junky and I will drive a very long distance for coffee, if it's worth it. This drip coffee just didn't do it for me. A super nice place to study, chat with friends, and catch up on work. I tried their caramel latte and it was so good! You can taste the roast and it paired perfectly with the caramel. I do like my coffee on the sweeter side so please get something else if you do not like your coffee sweetened. They also offer pastries and they have a small ice cream area. On a Sunday morning, my friend and I enjoyed a coffee catch-up in 2 very comfy leather chairs here. Service was prompt and friendly. The area in the " creation" area could have been a bit more tidy- perhaps it will become a priority. I enjoyed a vanilla cold brew and my friend sipped on her iced coffee. Plenty of seating spaced apart for privacy which allows it to be quiet. Restrooms are very clean which also very important. There is also a shelf with stools that are ideal for working on your laptop or tablet. There were some breakfast items and other snack items. Cute fox sugar cookies- of course! Outside seating if you want to bring a furry friend and sit under their covered patio. Free parking was easily found either on the street, in the Homewood Suites parking lot, or in front of Dick's sporting goods. Oh, I signed up for texts and they sent me a 50% coupon for next time. Foxtail has been my go to spot! The coffee is great and the peppermint hot chocolate is one of my favorites from there! I've been several times and have never had an issue. It would be neat if they made breakfast sandwiches or offered something made in house. People stay there for tons of hours so i think that would be awesome so that they don't have to go somewhere else for a substantial meal. read more

Something is really wrong with this Foxtail. The customer service is consistently bad and the staff always seem irritated or confused. It's one of the most expensive coffee shops in the area, yet the service, food, and drinks feel like the lowest effort possible. I've been coming here since it opened and it's gotten worse over time. They rotate staff constantly, and no one seems trained. The food used to be good and the drinks used to be made with care. Now everything is overpriced and poorly done. For example, I ordered a butter croissant and asked for it toasted. I waited about 15 minutes before the barista decide she was wanted to toast it. She then handed it to me, after toasting it inside a paper to-go bag, so it was still soft and not toasted at all. When I asked for it to be toasted again, she had a horrible attitude and put the entire cardboard box in the toaster and said, "This is how we toast our food." Of course, it still came out floppy and gross. This is absolutely unexpected and horrible service overall, especially for the price. read more

going to rate this place five stars thanks to the positive times I've had here in the past - just learned it will be closing at 9pm and has been since January 1st...the 10pm closing time was the main reason I would go here over Starbucks, which closes at nine, and is much closer to me...not sure I'll be coming back here for coffee/tea, I might get an ice cream from time to time. By the way, I should mention the girl told me they do not use the ice cream register most of time, you pay at the coffee register. PSA. To say these baristas are rude is a HUGE understatement. I could get better conversation out of a brick wall. You stand up at the register for minutes before they even look up from their phone to acknowledge your presence, and even then they act like it's a bother to serve you. All while making hateful comments about various groups loud enough for anyone within close proximity to hear. Unfortunately this isn't a one time thing as this is a continuous occurrence within this location. Great coffee but not worth feeling like a bother every time you step into the store. read more

Just left this establishment and will not be back. While we were ordering we watched as one of the baristas took a pair of scissors out of a wooden box that is beside the register (had a bunch of pens and markers in it that I assume multiple people have used). She then used these unwashed scissors to poke a whole through the seal of a carton of what I think was almond or oat milk. She did this right next to the register so I saw the whole thing. She pushed the scissors in so far that when she pulled them out there was liquid dripping off them. She then put them back in the wooden box. Thank God that ingredient wasn't used in my drink. Completely disgusting! While I waited for my drink I watched as the baristas were doing more talking and joking around instead of getting orders out. A friend of one of the baristas showed up and started talking to her which slowed down the orders even more. Her friend asked the barista what she was drinking and she showed her a green colored drink. The barista then said, "ooo let me make you one"....literally stopped making the drink she was working on to make her friend a drink that she didn't order. Meanwhile customers are waiting for their drinks to be made. Then I watched two other baristas who were taking orders whispering and making fun of customers after they ordered, and making snide comments about them. When I finally got my what was supposed to be hot drink it was barely warm. I am usually a very patient and understanding person, but this was very unsatisfactory. I am all for having fun at work and enjoying your job, but this whole thing was ridiculous. When you have multiple customers waiting for their orders then get them their orders promptly. There will be plenty of time for goofing off when it's not so busy. read more

Horrid customer service. After we ordered, they then tell us it's going to be a long wait. In a time crunch, we can't wait. So we asked to cancel and refund. Manager said they can't issue refunds for anything, even if nothing has been made. What? What happens if you make a mistake and charge $200 instead of $20? Just stuck? I drove 25 min to go to Foxtails for coffee for my husband and me. After placing the order for the 2 beverages I was advised, "Just so you know we don't have lids." (Un, what, you are a coffee shop). I said maybe lead with that before ringing it up - and having to void it. I am not driving with hot beverages with no lids over speed bumps and traffic to only have to clean my car. Two owner/manager sitting having coffee- and one said "Well Cisco has been out of lids for 2 weeks." Um , how about lead with honesty and put on instagram we only have coffee for in shop, we have no lids to take it." The other manager went to the truck to see if he could find a sleeve of lids- he never returned, so I guess that was the answer. Although I like their coffee- its not worth 25 min of my time to drive there and then have to drive someplace else to get coffee I can take in my car and take home to my husband who is working. This is my second experience with them not being transparent- prior they were out of mocha for many weeks. Seems like they should start working with vendors who actually have items needed to run their business. read more

Plenty of seats and a nice atmosphere. Coffee is pretty good, but not amazing. We are picky though. I was hesitant because of the review about it being slow because we were in a hurry, but there were two people in front of us and we all got our drinks pretty quickly.
