He ground the coffee, and handed the bag to my daughter. She said it felt like more than a quarter pound. he owner said it was a pound. I said we only ordered a quarter pound, and he said they only sold it by the pound. So I asked why he didn't tell us that when I ordered a quarter pound, and his terse reply was "you didn't ask". I ordered an iced mocha that was absolutely delicious - you can really taste the coffee through the chocolate instead of it being overly sweet, which I loved. The coconut macaroon I got on the side was phenomenal and paired perfectly with the drink. They're roasting beans less than 20 feet from where I was sitting, and even before we walked in, you could smell the coffee from the parking lot. It adds so much to the atmosphere knowing everything is that fresh. Service was top notch: super friendly, accurate with the order, and genuinely down to earth and inviting. This place feels like a true local gem, and I will definitely be returning.
