I booked Event Planners Of Houston about two weeks out due to all the Covid-19 restrictions and not knowing If I would be able to have my special day. When I tell you this lady and her team are a life saver, I mean it. They were on top of their stuff. She came up with the timeline within a few days, confirmed all vendors and got clarification on any issues that may have been in their contracts. Communication was out of this world, They made sure everything was to my liking, spotted issues and came up with solutions without me having to tell them. I couldn't have imagined my day without them. Sharon went above and beyond to make sure that my day was stress free and more. She coordinated the rehearsal start to finish making sure I was satisfied, She made sure my family was there for photos, and assisted where needed from helping with setting up to bringing us food and drinks. She stayed in communication with the vendors to make sure they were doing what they were suppose to and on time. I ran into an issue with the venue not providing chair pads as originally included and Sharon fought for me to get what was originally promised and even reached out to all her contacts to try to get me some. So if your looking for a company that is going to make sure your event is everything you dreamed of and more Event Planners of Houston is the company for you. Event Planners of Houston was the main source of stress on my wedding day. I was hesitant to write…read morea review because they generously donated our coordination package for a Hurricane Harvey fundraiser, but I still should have received the same level of service as a full paying bride. Communication prior to the wedding was mediocre at best, and did not feel like a "month of" planning package. A week before the wedding, they were supposed to send me the wedding day timeline to approve. They did not send it to me and sent it to all my vendors with the incorrect start times causing all the vendors to contact me, and then I had to follow up with everyone and correct the time. The rehearsal was rushed and I felt like we were inconveniencing them. Everyone was excited for the wedding and EPOH made it seem like they had somewhere to be exactly an hour after our start time, even though we were the only event that day and they traveled specifically to coordinate our event. The day of the wedding, communication was horrible, I had to reach out several times to find out what was going on. I saw the coordinators one time before the wedding- We were all on site at the same location and I had to text to find out what was going on. The candy buffet was sad looking, and instead of leaving the extra candy for us as the contract stated, they packed it all up and took it home, including the candy we brought ourselves. Despite my bridesmaids saying they were lined up wrong, they were sent down the isle incorrectly and my maid of honor was first down the isle. Due to rain we started late, and the caterer said they were scheduled to leave before anyone was fed. EPOH coordinators came up and told me this while I was getting ready to be introduced. Again, this is an issue that they should have rectified before it even got to me. Luckily I had friends and family that was able to pick up the slack and deal with the issue. Finally, they took off at some point in the night, I'm not even really sure when. They did not say goodbye, didn't notify anyone they were leaving, and left for the night. I would not recommend EPOH for anyone's event.

The venue was beautiful and well kept parking in the parking garage was simple and had very easy instructions on how to get there. Morning pastries, coffee, tea and water was provided as well and a delicious salad, chicken parm with a chocolate cake for desert. The staff and West Houston Chamber of Commerce were extremely welcoming. Highly recommend this place for any event/venue needs. I was blessed to have gained ton of knowledge and great network connections in the process.

The front desk is manned by a friendly gentleman, and there is plenty of parking in the garage or outside for visitors. There's really not a smoking area, but I sneak off to the parking garage and smoke right next to the no smoking sign. I'm a rebel.

In the years that I've worked for HCDE, we've used KBC about 2 or 3 times now. While it is in a far location of Houston, the facility is large and clean. We use the separate room and hallways for the food that's served and to create a large donut wall prop, photo op backdrops, or like this year, arcades to celebrate the 80s. The gym is used to hold the actual gathering and can fit hundreds of people. We have 900+ employees at HCDE. Round tables with chairs or rows of chairs can be placed to fill up the gym, and there's extra seating on the bleachers. There are 2 large TV screens on each side of the stage for you to show videos/presentations or the speaker on stage. The parking lot is also large and broken up into different areas. It's enough to provide everyone with a parking spot. I know we will use this facility for years to come. Thank you, KBC for opening your facility to us!

In all honesty just get the general admission because I feel the VIP is just a money grab I saw little difference between VIP/General admission other than a $5 headband/sash and a little bah that had a couple brochures, a gift card for wedding bands from semi questionable company, and a stress ball. We did get to go in 30 minutes early this only gave us time to talk to 2 people after running into issues with the bridal scan app from the get go. Also, I only saw 1 VIP giveaway when websitea mentioned multiple. When I asked the staff I was just pointed towards the same giveaways everyone has a chance for. As for interactions with the vendors it was the same as everyone else, same spill, same brochures, same little "swag" items. So save your money wait until the general admission is free and get your tickets. The event it's self is a tad overwhelming as the layouts are a tad wonky so it's easy to miss places. Each bar area only had 1 bartender which made the lines extremely long. I felt really bad for the ladies working because there should have atleast been 2. I also feel as my information was given to locations I didn't give too as a few places have reached out which I dont have a single business card, brochure, nothing for them. So not sure how they obtained it. Also, always double check pricing at the vendors from websites as well. I did catch just a couple whose website price was LOWER than at the expo. I was given the website isn't updated, thay is for this season this is for next, etc. Just do your research for sure. Fashion show was pretty cute i like that they had models of all sizes present. Plenty of seating and standing room as well. As for the dresses at the event there aren't a ton for you to try on and buy there (even though that's advertised) which i really didn't expect much but the quality of the dresses present....interesting I would say. There were a couple boutiques that stood out to me and I ended up making appointments because they showed their different styles they had (not just glittery, patterned, ballgown which is for some but not all). They had plenty of venues to look at that made scheduling open houses easier. A few tux vendors, decoration, flowers, and travel agents/wedding planners. The cake tasting where interesting to try for only 2 stood out which were much smaller mom and pops shops the other "big ones" no thank you.

There's a parking structure that also connects to the conference center so you don't have to step outside. Efficiency at its finest.
