I just got engaged October 2017 and have been trying to lock in a venue ever since. So my fiancé and I grabbed tickets for Sunday the last day of the event due to work and prior commitments with our church. We weren't able to get there until 2:50 pm which gave us 2 hours to shop around. There were sooooo many vendors there I did not get a chance to see them all. Pros: -The expo provided labels with your info on them so that you did not have to fill out hundreds of lead forms. -The expo gave you a stack of raffle tickets to a variety of vendors to win free products/ packages from them such as a free honeymoon. -There were cash bars so you could sip & shop. -There was a concession stand and tables so that you could grab a light meal while shopping. -The majority of the vendors created special price packages for expo attendees. Cons: -I wish they had longer hours not everyone can take weekends off. -The aisle were numbered but the numbers were listed too high up. You would have to look up at the ceiling or look at them from a distance.

I went here on a Sunday as a Bridesmaid with my Bride-to- be bestfriend. My mom used to be a vendor here and it's just as crazy as it was how many years ago. Things to keep in mind to absolutely make sure you have the most efficient use of the day: 1. Print out sticker labels of your name, phone, email & maybe address. 2. Prepare to be approached by everybody you make eye contact with, Bride-to- be's! 3. Wear comfy shoes...!!! 4. Bring a bag to hold your countless fliers and free gifts (but there are $2 bags there as well) 5. Enjoy yourself! There's alcohol everywhere. And fashion shows every hour. Vendors will offer discounts on packages if you sign up with them that day. It's good to come here because they have prices and info readily available to you. This is extremely useful because normally, you'd have to take the time to inquire on their websites on pricing, etc. on your own when shopping around. It was nice to see all of the options available to you and what's new out there in the bridal world. The also have giveaways galore, so the sticker labels come in handy when you're signing up for stuff--- my poor bride-to-be had to handwrite everything. We totally came unprepared, not knowing really how to approach this show. But I thought it was pretty informative, and I took some fliers for myself just to see roughly the pricing on some of these packages.... Man oh man!! Weddings are expensive, but I'm sure you already knew that. Happy Wedding Planning!

My fiancé and I got engaged in Jan 2019 and after venue shopping and planning, we were referred to Yvette in May 2019. At the time, we decided to not do a pop up since we ended up deciding to do a wedding on a cruise in 2020. Well obviously that fell apart thanks to the pandemic! Yvette was there to save the day! We were hoping things would get better in 2020 but COVID cases kept rising so we said screw it, let's do the pop up wedding! And we are SO happy that we did! We didn't want to do a huge party and spend thousands on a wedding but we got the upscale wedding look for so much less. Yvette and her team were offering these COVID packages (see their Instagram to see if still on going) and we had an officiant, seating for 25, cake, photographer venue and decorations all for under $2000. My family was worried that since we were spending significantly less than the average wedding cost that it wouldn't be as nice. In fact, we were criticized prior to the wedding, but then the day of the wedding arrived and they were in awe. It was so romantic and beautiful. Yvette and her team added flowers, candles and just made the night so magical. The cake was delicious and over all the experience was dreamy and magical. Pop Up Weddings Houston also go beyond the pop up wedding bookings. Yvette does weddings of all sizes! They actually do wedding give aways on their instagram so check it out if you're recently engaged! They also work with vendors/partners who provide live streaming services, photo booths and more! Anyways, major thanks to Pop Up Wedding Houston! I am totally referring my engaged friends to them! Note: Once I receive my wedding photos I'll update my review to show you all how gorgeous the venue was!

She is calm, thoughtful, solution-oriented, and such a dream to work with. We changed venues midway through planning and she didn't just adapt -- she elevated everything we originally envisioned. I gave her creative freedom because I trusted her eye, and that was the best decision I made. She looked at our outfits and offered ideas on how to create contrast and vibe while keeping it authentically "us." Everything they setup was my favorite and all of the details, like I said speechless. As two business owners, we really appreciated not having to sit through countless meetings. Every conversation we did have with Dipti and the team was purposeful, easy, and honestly joyful. They gave us space to make the big decisions, while gently guiding us when we needed it. We had a traditional Indian wedding with a touch of Texas flair, and over the course of five different events--each with its own theme--she brought every vision to life. From our Bridgerton-inspired Mehndi and Flower Market Vidhi, to a Midsummer Night's Dream Sangeet, a Lotus-themed Wedding, and finally our Boots & Sari Texas Ball Reception, every detail was breathtaking. Each event felt unique, magical, and unforgettable. One of the most special moments was during our wedding ceremony. Dipti went above and beyond to find real lotus flowers in honor of my grandmother. Walking down the aisle surrounded by them brought me to tears and made me feel as though she was right there with me. That level of thoughtfulness and care is something we will cherish forever. Dipti will always have backup plans on top of backup plans--something every anxious bride needs! When it rained during our Vidhi, she transformed my parents' garage into an absolute dream. She truly thinks of everything and handles challenges with so much grace and creativity. Our reception décor is still the talk of our guests! Dipti brought my vision of a grand Texas ball to life--complete with a custom Texas Wedding Seal dance floor and without a single hay bale in sight. I received a call moments ago informing me that although I was the first to book my appointment for this Saturday, I am now being asked to move my time to 1:30 PM due to the size of my party. This is incredibly upsetting. If I secured my appointment first, I do not understand why I am the one being asked to adjust rather than accommodating later bookings accordingly. That decision feels both unfair and dismissive of my time and planning. What makes this even more disheartening is that I have family, including my aunt, traveling in from out of town specifically for this appointment. Receiving this type of notice on a Thursday afternoon leaves me with virtually no reasonable opportunity to secure another bridal salon that can accommodate us on such short notice. This experience has been deeply frustrating and has added unnecessary stress to what should be a very special and meaningful moment in my wedding journey. I expected better consideration, communication, and respect for my original booking.

Her "replacement" Caren was incompetent, unfriendly and extremely unhelpful - which led to so much stress on the part of the mother of the bride and the maid of honor. Stephanie showed up at the beginning to help put welcome bags in the rooms, but past that didn't do anything. Piper met with the parents of the bride and the hotel owner HOURS before bride walked down the aisle and Piper didn't say a word (didn't introduce herself or even say hello). Horrible representation as a business owner. For these prices - like are you insane... Wedding planner went over budget and messed up names on invitations and gave NO remedy for this. Further, we asked for a refund / some sort of compensation for the chaos that was Madeline bailing on the wedding and sending someone whose job could have been better done by a 4 year old -- NO response, we sent several emails and nothing - EXTREMELY unprofessional and we are super upset. While Jennifer seemed like a good option at the time, I quickly began to regret my decision. Right away I noticed that she was always late to appointments, did not meet deadlines, and worst of all did not listen to what I wanted. I hired her for both design and coordination, and her first take on the design presentation was not only significantly shorter than the example she had sent me, but she presented in her words "a bohemian style" when I had specifically asked for "southern elegance". She did redo the presentation, but this was the first of some major communication issues that I continued to see throughout the process. The issues with planning were frustrating, but honestly would not be that big of a deal if the wedding day service would have been executed more professionally. One of my biggest hang-ups with Jennifer is her lack of humility and being able to take responsibility for her mistakes--especially when they impact such a big day in people's lives. Here are some of the major things that happened day of (leaving out other things for brevity): -Florals and timeline: I specifically chose a florist that works in the same office as Jennifer, because I thought that communication between them would be good and lead to a great design--but boy was I wrong. Day of, Jennifer had not communicated the schedule to the florist to ensure that certain installments were ready for us to take pictures with--which resulted in putting us behind schedule for photos. Furthermore, she worked with the florist on certain installments such as the seating chart and did not have the foresight to inquire about dimensions so the print outs she had ended up being way too large for the fl-oral rings they were put in. -Photos: Communication here was an issue before the wedding. The photographer had asked for someone to help coordinate family members/friends during portraits and while Jennifer did respond in an email saying this: "we have never been asked to assist a photographer before, before the ceremony we are all hands on deck getting set up, but if you needed my assistant during the cocktail hour I can certainly add that to my notes if you don't have an assistant/second shooter. " leaving it open for interpretation and never following up with the photographer. While I do very much think that it was the photographer's fault for not having help/resources in place, better communication by Jennifer could have potentially prevented the situation. What most frustrated me about this though, is that during portraits when help was needed--not only was her assistant standing by us while the situation unfolded, not doing anything to help (aka obviously not all hands on deck)--when Jennifer did finally come help she was rude to me and my husband in front of our friends and family, blamed the photographer, and instead of trying to help, told the photographer it was their problem and left. Even if it was their fault, I would hope that a wedding planner could work with all types of people and help solve a crisis on a wedding day rather than just walking away. -Clean-up: One of Jennifer's biggest selling points for us was that she would take care of all of the items after the wedding and deliver them at our convenience later. Unfortunately this did not happen, many items were missing, and my mom had to stay until 2am trying to clean up because Jennifer did not do her job. Again, these are only a few of the many problems we experienced with Jennifer others involving poor communication with the cake designer, photobooth vendor, etc. What it all boils down to is that she has some issues communicating with other vendors/clients, will not take fault or apologize for her mistakes. So if you are considering booking her, double/triple check everything and make sure all of the vendors are on the same page-- I thought that I did, but unfortunately the coordination at the wedding caused a lot of problems for a wedding day that you will never get back.
