After seven failed attempts to fax a mission-critical document from the newer, fancier FedEx down…read morethe street (on Randall Road in St. Charles), I decided to drive to this one to see if I had any more luck. I was greeted warmly by a young man working the counter when I entered, and was a bit surprised to see he was the only one working, as the St. Charles store had nearly eight employees, none of whom bothered to say hello when I entered. So already, this store was earning some brownie points. I was also a bit surprised when the young man pointed to an older fax machine that wasn't rigged up to a credit card machine. You see, when I attempted my seven faxes at the St. Charles store, I had to put a credit card into a machine before I could even dial the fax number; it was completely self-automated and electronic. The fax machine at the Batavia location, however, was a standard fax machine that I stuck my piece of paper into, dialed the number, and it printed out a confirmation page which I then took to the young man and rendered payment. You might read this and think, "yeah, but wouldn't you rather new and updated technology?" to which I would respond, "give me a fax machine that works and I infinitely prefer it." Because yes, it took just one try on the older fax machine to successfully transmit my document compared to seven failed attempts at the other store. And best of all, I was able to pay cash, because who really wants a $1.49 charge on their credit card anyway? I didn't stay in the store long, but it appeared to have everything necessary for your basic copy, fax and shipping needs, and it was considerably quieter than the St. Charles store should you be using it as a workstation. I think $1.49 to send a fax is a bit steep, so I knock points off there, but if given the choice between the two stores, I think I'll drive further to go to this one.

We all know what a Fed Ex Print and Ship center offers, but this is worth a review…read more I walked in with something on the larger side that needed a box. I asked if they had anything that would fit my item. Dennis said, "I'm sure we can find something," He walked away and minuets later my item was wrapped, packed, sealed and taped, ready to go! But OH NO! I had forgotten to put something inside! I felt so bad; he had done such a nice job! Dennis, said not to worry! He unwrapped what he had already painstakingly wrapped, all the while making me not feel absolutely terrible! He said, happens all the time, I'd rather you discovered that now rather than after it was on it's way, and other nice things. Never once did he utter a complaint! He truly went above and beyond for me and I'll choose this Fed Ex over the one closer to me next time!

He told me he didn't know for sure if it could be done unless I made some file. He was soft spoken so it was hard to hear him over the music. I tried to show him the file that I downloaded. He walked off to do something else. When he returned I asked him the WiFi password because reception is really bad. He suggested AT&T WiFi no password needed. I follow his instructions. He walked away again. I felt like he was uninterested in helping me. I left.

I had shipped some packages through this store and was talking about vendors for my wedding in…read moreJanuary. Found out this location does printing--I hadn't known--and they said they could help me if I wanted. They did our Save the Dates (I came up with an idea, the staff there tweaked it to make it better), and my now husband and I really liked how they turned out. We didn't want to use the cookie cutter invitations from David's Bridal (nothing wrong with those, just not our style) and the staff helped me create everything we needed for our wedding. Invites, inserts, programs, place cards, everything. They even thought of things that we hadn't, like signs for our guestbook. Just like with our Save the Dates, they used a design that I had started and made it better. There were some software glitches along the way with some formatting for envelopes, but it was pretty easily fixed and everything was still done in plenty of time. The owner Dave also helped make sure that the design guy and I stayed on track as far as weight (if you've sent out heavy invitations, you know that postage can add up!) so that we didn't go over budget. The whole process took a little longer than if you took a job like that to a shop that just does wedding invites, but I liked that I could talk to the staff about different parts of the process (we changed fonts a few times) at any time. They had everything for me to proof along the way and just made it very easy on me. They politely and professionally let me know what they needed from me every step of the way, like an address list, and it was greatly appreciated in the overwhelming process of wedding planning! Price was reasonable--for reference, we used colored ink on a smooth card stock. The invites turned out great and hopefully they can be used as samples there.

Two other customers behind me and there was a line, he did not even acknowledge any of us while we were waiting. He could not get the printer to work for the customer in front of me, so he ended up calling Kash who by the way is great and he was getting so frustrated and he was cussing in front of customers and he ended up telling the customer in front of me after 15 minutes that he can't do what she needed. He did not acknowledge anybody he is always rude every time I come in it is just not good customer service. Kash should be there all the time or we need more people like him to be working the counter.
