I recently went to this Verizon to get a huge problem fixed between an ex and having to separate our phone line. the professionalism kindness and care that the team displayed, was really sweet and respectful and I appreciated that. The South Elgin store had a problem with the internet so they sent me to Batavia. I had an appointment to set up my new phone. The employee, Diego, said "We don't do that anymore" when I said I was there for help with the new phone. I WAS THE ONLY PERSON IN THE STORE. He said it was easy and " even you could do it". His attitude was condescending and dismissive. I am sure it was because of ageism. I am 75 years old and tech stuff does not come easily to me. I tried to do it myself as he said and stuff did not get transferred. I would like to dump Verizon after 25 years, but the others are probably just as bad. read more

I'm 88 years old, have 3 accounts with Verizon, walked into my local store and asked for assistance with my phone. 2 men we're sitting there with no other customers in the store and flippantly said I would have to call a Verizon 800 number to fix my problem. Question , could they have not assisted or at least made an attempt to help me problem solve, get me on the phone with someone right then and there . Their response was "we don't do that, you have to call tech". They were "do- nothings behind the counter " in an an empty Verizon customer service location. I'm canceling my 3 accounts asap. This location is HORRIBLE. 1.5 hours trying to get a new phone activated. The lady helping us spent more time on her personal phone than on ours, she put the wrong sim card number in the system, couldn't figure out how to factory reset the new phone and showed no empathy for our situation. Her only solution was to wait for a replacement phone. Still working on our phone at closing, she was given a look by the manager to finish up with us and we walked out as the lights were basically being shut off. In an hour on the phone with Verizon customer service, I was able to get the phone working. The two reps that helped me in the phone were amazing. Thank you Jessica and Sheri. Shame on you Batavia Verizon. Do yourself a favor and go to a different location. read more

So I show up here looking for a new phone and, like the other reviews state, had to wait awhile to speak with someone. However, in the end, it was all worth it. I eventually spoke to Hasan. I thought I wanted the new LG with the 4.5 inch screen but he explained all the advantages of the new Razr MAXX. I told him about my current Droid X2's problems and he was nice enough to fix them. I HAD TRIED EVERYTHING! To top it off he got me 20% off my bill through my company, even when I didn't buy anything...imagine that. I'm going to be back here soon and get the RAZR from him. It isn't a matter of "if" but "when" I get the extra money for the phone. Bottom line, speak to him. He's a nice guy and knowledgeable. He is a sales rep. but you can tell he really knows/enjoys the products and isn't your annoying, pushy, buy now, know nothing sales rep. read more

Nice employees to be sure, but Verizon as a whole is out to scam, cheat and bait and switch their customers. Online checkout? Not working. Call center checkout? Not working. Forced to go to the store, wait an hour and then am charged for not using website. Absolutely frustrating and criminal. I'm beyond upset by this awful experience. read more

If you wait at the door where it says to wait, and 10 minutes go by without acknowledging someone standing there because it's too much to ask when handling another customer, maybe make it clearer that appointments are recommended. Ignoring people is just garbage. read more

Been here a few times and have been helped by there manager Luis. He has always gone the extra mile to help me. I am on an account where I am not allowed to be an account manager. He has always attempted to resolve my issues or have one of his staff resolve my issues as much as possible without touching the account. If he needs to reach out to the account owner he and his staff are always very patient as they can be rude. I went to this store and North Aurora before and my experiences were not very good. I have heard that he now went to the North Aurora store. I would totally recommend following him there. Great customer service and definitely knows his tech stuff. read more

Stopped by for help with my new Galaxy 6. Greeted at door and helped immediately. Ask for help transferring old phone contacts that were still on old device but not backed up anywhere. Roger helped me and 10 minutes later leaving with everything on new phone. Great experiece, will be back. read more

This has been our store since July of 2000. We rarely have to pay them a visit, but when we do it's always a pleasant experience. Yesterday, we had a very unpleasant experience at a franchised Verizon Wireless Zone. Avoid the franchises at all cost. This store on Randall in Batavia is a corporate-managed store and is well worth the drive, even if you have a franchised store that is closer in proximity. Verizon does a poor job containing the excesses and price-gouging of their franchisees, thereby sullying their own reputation in the process. We paid $20 for a SIM card at a franchised store, only to find out too late that it would have been FREE at a corporate store. Never hesitate to discover which kind of store you're dealing with, and never doubt that you'll be treated better at a "real" corporate store -- like this one! read more

HORRIBLE. I could not say worse things about this store. After a long day of battling to try to get my new phone (purchased at another store) working properly after spending hours on the phone with customer service, I walked into the store, only to have Luis, the manager, look past me to other customers. He was completely uninterested in trying to actually help me, asking vague, unfocused questions and suggesting that he was unable to exchange my phone because it wasn't wiped, and that he couldn't wipe it because there was "no computer" in the store (when I noted that I actually had brought a computer with me, he seemed annoyed that he might actually have to help me). It could not have been more obvious that he is low energy and uninterested in actually doing his job. I would definitely have a regional manager think twice about continuing to have Luis in a client-facing position (or frankly any position). I have been to many Verizon Wireless stores over the years, usually receiving excellent service. This location is unworthy of Verizon. TO CUSTOMERS--NEVER GO HERE AND DON'T EVER DEAL WITH LUIS. Interestingly, it looks like the other reviewers have also been very unimpressed with Luis and the staff. read more

I held my review until after visiting them four times, so it's not just a one of thing, they continued to provide terrible service and worst attitude. This is a terrific corporate store! They are helpful to the max, courteous and patient. Mike waited on me and it took 45 minutes to fix my iPad and iPhone problems. He was so helpful and never acted like it was a pain to have to spend so much time on my phone issues. I can't recommend this store and this technician highly enough! Be sure you always go to a VERIZON CORPORATE STORE!! The new SIM card was free as opposed to paying a franchise store for a new one. read more

My family visited this store on three different occasions to buy 3 new phones. Each time the salesman said he was out of the phone we wanted, but made promises that he didn't meet when we came back. He promised a free upgrade if we would turn our old phone in, he lied about the options on the phone,and lied about what a phone could and could not do. OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE...THE BEST experience I've ever had at a Verizon store (ANY store for that matter!) Highly recommend purchasing all your device needs here. From first contact on phone with James, answered my questions with pleasure and courtesy to being greeted at the door by Christian, the GM (we observed him as being extremely attentive to his customers, whether they came in to purchase or with a problem or just to check out product)... then Justin who handled our purchase from start to finish. He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Very professional, nice, courteous. EVERYONE at this store has a very positive attitude. Customer Service at it's finest. VERIZON needs to hold ALL their stores to this location's high level of standards. I even received a follow up text the next day from Christian to thank us and welcome us back for any assistance. EXTRAORDINARY PEOPLE WITH EXTRAORDINARY ATTITUDES! This is my go to Verizon phone store. I have been a Verizon customer since forever and have seen all variations of customer service, and been to other Verizon stores. I am happy to stay that this store has met my needs and expectations with patience, understanding, and friendliness. They now have a good system for waiting on customers. As soon as you walk in someone will ask your name and the nature of your visit and immediately record it on their tablet device and then will let you know where you stand in the line of customers ahead of you. All sales associates carry a tablet so all associates know who is up next. On busy, busy days I have had to wait only about 20 minutes. Once it is your turn, you are made to feel as though you are the most important customer there. You are not rushed at all and the sales associate will guide you through the equipment to find the one that will fit your needs. There is some sales pitches for the newer products but not much, especially if you are firm with your needs and price range. AND, the best thing is the associate will help set up your equipment. I did click the pricey price range but there are discounts to be had and Verizon does offer phones at a good price with packages. I always have to have the newest version of something before the price discounts hit. read more

Worst Customer service I have ever seen. Not only did my husband sit for 1 hour before anyone would help him (including the manager who walked by him 3 times and then helped someone else) they were trying so hard to make more money off of us I had to ask them about a plan that would save me $30 a month. The two plans were the same except the cheaper one had unlimited texting so it was actually better. Now I received my bill and they didn't tell me that for half of the month I would only have so many mins, we went over 203 I am paying $97.00 for overages. How insane is that, I am taking my business elsewhere I will never recommend Verizon for anything. read more

Horrible customer service. My phone was destroyed with a few months left on my 2 year agreement. They refused to let me re-new at the time (for an additinal two years) and insisted I buy a phone at full price $249, I ended up paying the $95 early termination fee. I can't believe they would treat a customer that way. read more

I went to this Verizion to upgrade my phone. I wasn't eligible, but they informed me that I could switch an upgrade from another phone on my account. They did this transfer. I then was diagnosed with breast cancer. After my recovery, I found out that when the transfer happened, they added the data plan to two phones instead of one. The other phone can't do data. After I was well again, I looked at my bill and discovered the error. Verizion acknowledges the error, but only will credit me for two months of their error! Unbelievable! read more
