I received a defective box of 24 Prismacolor "Col-Erase" pencils from an online order, and mailed them back per instructions ON THE BACK OF THE BOX to a street address in Bellwood, Illinois. Today the pencils came back as "undeliverable." What gives? Had there been an e-mail link to customer service when I googled for it, I would have used it. Now I feel doubly abused. Since I recently moved cross-country to Chicago, I am in need for office furniture. I went with my husband hoping to find a office chair or some furniture to use until my furniture arrives via Pod in a few months. Anyway they allowed (1) free piece of furniture and also was selling preused furniture for $39 and $99 bucks. We really lucked out. My husband found a big chair for our living room for free. We purchased a huge book case for my office. In addition to these pieces, we found a rolling ottoman and a side table. We were thrilled with our finds. This wharehouse is open to the public and had a floor dedicated to sale/clearance items and a bunch of new items too. The prices seemed reasonable on the new items too. Checkout website for items currently on sale. I would like to shout-out Mark (owner) and Junior for having awesome customer service. Junior helped me with approximating how many yards of fabric I would need to reupholster the chair that we got for free. Oh yes, I failed to mentioned they have lots of fabric for sale. At the event the fabric was only $5 a yard. Such a deal. Mad props to this business. *only furnishing for my temporary housing for now but will look to this business for my more permanent home in the near future* Would add photos of finds but waiting delivery. That process seems easy. Hoping I will have our items soon but there was polar vortex.

If I could have given zero stars, I would have. Went to this location last night to drop off a…read morecomputer to be shipped to Utah. There was one customer in from of me who was discussing a package that had not been delivered. The customer was having no luck getting information on the phone, so decided to discuss the issue in person. The agent was trying to be helpful but could not tell the customer where the package was or if/when it would be returned to the warehouse. 20 minutes later, the shipping clerk glanced at me and asked if I had a shipment. I told her I needed to ship my computer to Utah. She pointed to the corner and said "find a box and I can take care of you." There were no laptop boxes available. She finally went to check in the back and returned empty handed. She recommended I got to the other side of the office and grab a padded envelop and put that in the box. There were no padded envelopes so I returned to the counter where three more customers had arrived. She ignored me to take care of the first customer and then when she bothered to glance my way, she asked "you got a problem?" I told her to continue to take care of the rest of the customers and then we could discuss my problem. She said I didn't need to give her attitude. After she took care of the three customers, she went to the back again and remained there for five minutes. I just left. She expected me to put a $1,000 computer in a padded envelope and a box to bang around on its way to Utah. I don't know what the problem was or why I was being treated like a bother, when all I wanted to do was get my computer shipped safely. I am sure if she had completed my shipment, the laptop would be on its way to some unknown location never to be found again.

They have an "old outdated antiquated" system that only allows you to park your car on certain sides of the streets based on even or odd calendar dates. The purpose of doing this, from what I was told by a city official, was to keep the streets clean from debris and snow...whatever!!!! Every morning around 10:30 am the street and sanitation trucks are cleaning the streets....not overnight!!!! This is a scam so that the city can nickel and dime its working-class citizens!! There are no real brand name grocery stores. You have to buy your bananas and eggs next to the cheap booze and crack paraphernalia. Also, some of the streets are missing trees....yeah trees. The police over police....especially innocent motorists. Two members of my family were victims of violent crimes but nothing came out of the investigation....absolutely nothing!!! My neibor's daughter was mugged right infront of her house and right in front of bellwood street cameras....they did not catch the the men who did this because the cameras dont work!!! Yet the police swoosh down on you for bumping a stop sign. The cops don't speak, they are not friendly (only the ones that I came across). The chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime in Bellwood is 1 in 37. Based on FBI crime data, Bellwood is not one of the safest communities in America. Relative to Illinois, Bellwood has a crime rate that is higher than 85% of the state's cities and towns of all sizes. I'm in the process of purchasing a home so I'm l renting for now. Guess where I'm moving.....hint: Not Bellwood Illinois!

Brought my kids to the park one day and discovered they had a water park area on the other side of…read morethe Community Center. My children love it and it is fairly priced $2 for those under the age of 18 and adults free. This center also has a nice pond and while they play you can sit back relax and watch the water. I will definitely be sure to support any events here because coincidentally this is also the same area I voted in. If your kids are running around and causing havoc bring them out to this area and let them burn off all that energy.
