I use the Bellingham Office Max at least 2-3 times per week. Their staff is top notch when it comes to customer service and truly caring. Cliff, the GM has his staff firing on all cylinders! Phil in the print center always has our stuff ready before we walk in the door. Marley and Jay are always running around working hard and very knowledgeable. And Liv has a personality that makes you laugh if she's ringing you up. Keep it up. So awesome to see a corporate store have a hometown feel! Appreciate you guys! read more

I actually left this store in a better mood than when I arrived. I attribute this to the speedy service and the helpful sales associates. My goal was to make copies since my all-in-one printer had just died on me. The agent made copies for me and directed me to the other register where I could also pick up and buy some caffeine and sugar to improve my outlook on the day. The cheery agent at the register took time to greet me and engage me in friendly banter as he was completing my transaction. I actually left the store with a smile on my face. I am not from San Fransico I am from Mount Vernon,Wa. I am very pround of my city,. i was in need of a new computer. My old one was ten years old and no longer able to handle updates. My thought was to buy locally so I went to the Office Max in the Round Table Pizza Plaza. When my daughter and I walked in it was noticable that they did not have computers. I was looking for a Laptop so maybe on the next isle. A sales assisstant offered to help and that's when we discovered that they do not have a display or demo laptops. You must buy sight un seen. To top it off you tell the young lady what you want and she tries to sell you a cheaper machine that requires a lot of software in order to do anything. It still not what you want. The computer I have is not touch screen like I asked nor do the back buttons work. It's just a computer they are trying to get rid off. I am not happy with the computer I got. I will have to sell for less so I can go to a store that actually sells computers and not ads just so I can get my work done. read more

Don't get me wrong, I like Officemax. It's huge, it's brightly lit, and they have just about anything the office supply addict could need or want. They also have a huge copy center and very friendly employees. But what they don't have is value. Their prices, honestly, are outrageous. With the exception of their cleverly-placed "shopping cart o' values" which you'll find right inside the main entrance, the rest of the store apparently didn't get the memo that you can get pretty much all of this stuff for a fraction of the price online. Tried to make this place our go-to print shop since it was on our way to other things in town we frequent. We gave it plenty of chances to prove it could live up to the task, but it failed utterly. From rude, unhelpful, and uncaring employees to the self-help computer which worked maybe 1/10 times this place was awful for printing. Not to mention the confusing set up of 5-6 printers with no clear indication of which to use and the fact that if there is even one person ahead of you, you can expect to be there 15 mins plus waiting. Plus noncompetitive pricing, very few employees to help you, awful lighting... everything sold here can be bought online for cheaper and with higher quality. read more

Multiple trips to the store have had the same results, and I am finally posting about it. I have had 4 distinct issues with this location, where I have purchased something and when I showed up to pick it up, they didn't have any in stock. Today's purchase was a desk, and I purchased it, rented a truck to pick it up and returned to the store to pickup my desk only to be told that they didn't have any in stock. I am frustrated that my money was taken, and had to make multiple trips to the store before they figured out that they didn't have any. Very poor experience-won't be shopping here again. read more

People at the Bellingham store just don't want to "waste" their time providing hands-on help. And the attitude of one individual who handles registers is snotty- always. The place really needs a "housecleaning" in help. Beware of their special programs. Very difficult to cancel. read more

I went into Office Depot looking for a pen refill; not a name brand. When we got to the check out, Leah looked at it and thought she could find something. She took the pen and went off to search. When she returned, she had the perfect refills. I consider that the highest level of customer service! I will definitely return. read more

The ink cartridges are kept in the back and they tell you they are selling you manufactured ink cartridges, but they are actually returned products without the foil packaging or seals on the ink output components. They lie to you as they reseal the cardboard packaging on defective ink cartridges. They resell the defective ink cartridges that others have taken back. This should never happen 3 times to the same customer Within 2 weeks. They screw their customers over purposely! Buy online!!! Buy anywhere but there! read more

Nothing bad to say about their store itself. I've found the employees nice and helpful and the merchandise fine. My problem is their partner. They deliver with T Force Logistics. They are horrible! I'm in Bellingham, not SF. I took my covid card and others in for laminating, and it was easy, fast and incredibly inexpensive. They provided me with an exact duplicate of the original covid card, beautifully laminated, and gave me the original back. Brilliant. read more

Brain surgeons at Office Depot/Office Max corporate office. Only 2 stores in Bellingham after their merger and they just closed down the Office Depot store on Meridian leaving the Max store on Sunset open. Yet looking at the reviews, the closed store had above a 4 star rating while the Max store barely makes a 3. And from personal experience I can tell you that the 3 stars is a gift they don't deserve. From a terrible attitude of the sales staff to never having more than 2 people, if that, available on the floor, you might as well close that junk store down also. read more

Nice brightly lit store. Good selection of any office supplies you might want. Fun place to browse but I am finding I go there less and less because their prices are not competitive. I go here when the item I want can't be found anywhere else locally or I don't have time to order it online. Service is good. I was approached several times while browsing the store. read more

Each time that I have been in for printing this past month, the service has been very quick and great quality. If one has a lot of time to waste this place can certainly accomodate you. They are out of just about anything you would need. You wander around trying to find someone to help you and if/when you finally do what you came there to purchase is more often than not sold out or discontinued. They blame "the merger" (with Office Depot) or changing consumer tastes in office supplies ("no one buys those any more"). Really only good for paper and cheap pens, that's it. It is kind of like an old soviet style department store, sort of like GUM on Bellingham Bay. read more

We paid 350 for what we thought was computer repair. We found out today they want another 350 to repair the computer, costing us over double what we originally paid for the computer. If you value your money, avoid this place like the plague. read more
