Reconditioned home/office towers were what I found attractive. If you are wanting dedicated gaming computers and specialized user accessories this probably isn't your go to place of business. I have the most amazing experience with this establishment today. Barb was very kind to order a battery for my laptop. She had my battery delivered within two days. When I came today to get her to install it for me, she was very generous to not charge me for her time. She is friendly and very knowledgeable about her work. From now on, they have my business. I've been to Priority 1 two times now after I crashed my laptop on two occassions. Each time I was more than impressed with their level of service and customer support. They are above and beyond friendly and accessible and their prices are fair and very reasonable. If you are looking for computer stuff or are in a situation that you can't fix on the computer by all means call them or come in and you won't be dissapointed. Fantastic service and Rick stays with you until the problem is solved. in my case, he has stayed several hours for most cases and, in the last event, he stayed with me until it was determined that the computer, an old one, had developed some fatal internal flaws. I brought my MacBook Pro into Priority 1 today with a display issue. This was my first time at their shop. They invited me in to the repair room to watch what they were doing, they efficiently diagnosed the problem, they gave me several options on how to proceed, and they didn't charge me! My son bought computer parts to build his own PC, but got stuck when the monitor didn't get the video signal. It's been over 2 months since he bought it, we tried a few things, but finally we realized we need professionals. I considered a couple of computer repair places in Victoria recommended by my friends (one of the shops didn't even bother to call me back after leaving a message) but then I chose Priority 1 Computers, based on their great online reviews. They took it in on Friday around noon, saying they would look at it after the weekend, which I didn't mind at all (I expected 1-2 week turnaround). But they called me in a few hours, telling me they found the problem (a faulty mother board, still covered under warranty, so we need to send it back to the original seller), and the PC was ready for pickup. I came 20 minutes after closing time (I thought they were open until 5:30 PM, instead of 5 PM) but they let me in with a smile, gave me the PC and (wait for it:) didn't charge me anything (the bill was supposed to be around $50, which was fair, for all testing they performed). The whole experience was amazing: nice place, nice people (both on the phone and in person), courteous beyond usual, quick, efficient service and no charge! There's no doubt in my mind their objective is to stay in business for a long time and the gold old "Under-promise, over-deliver" will keep their customers happy. I purchased a reconditioned hard drive and CarePlan from Priority One & I love it. I have had a few problems & they get it fixed every time. I would recommend anyone to purchase the CarePlan for peace of mind, particularly if you are not very "techie". Most often they can give you remote assistance and get it solved!. We bought a reconditioned computer as a consequence of Windows XP. We paid extra to have P1 upgrade the memory and transport the data from the old to the new. The computer was guaranteed for one month. After the first day it was acting weird, slow and freezing up. I guess I downloaded a virus. We took it in and were going to be charged to sweep and clean. The charge was reversed because I argued that it was still under warrantee- the customer service rep said he would forgive me this time. Then my email was not working right. I did the remote help on line. The phone tech forgot to tell me I had to pay 25 dollars for each fix. Even though it was less than a month since we bought the computer. They got the first $25 from me and then they were not help me with the problem. I was told it was a Telus issue. I sat on the phone with Telus and they said it was not a Telus issue. I figured it out myself eventually. So beware, they charge you $25 for every question you ask and then might not be able to fix the problem in the end. read more
